1Weather:Widget Forecast Radar

This last update is very good. Finally! It even exceeded earlier versions from before 2020 that were fine. I was very surprised, even noticed some of my suggestions! A big problem were those ads, but as soon as I paid a $2 fee for ad free version, not only did the ads go away, but so did the downtime. Love the big map ( I was asking for that too). Still not the most accurate , it could be raining but the map does not have rain over my house. I'm glad I stayed with you and never gave up on you!

I don't mind sone stationary ads at the bottom of a page but this app bombarded me with full page ads at every move and they are hard to get out of. First one came up before I could even look at first app screen. Once out I think 10 seconds went by before another full page ad pops up - upon exit I find myself stuck in a video ad. I had to click on the "exit video" 5 times before it would quit, just to end up in third ad! Didn't even wait to look at app, it might be great, but I'll never know.

Was great. Updates ruined this app. Radar used to be nearly full screen. Ads fill the screen now turning "full screen" into a 2" rectangle. Weather app with nonfunctional radar isn't going to work for me. Used for years but uninstalling unless fixed quick! -edit- Thank you for fixing the radar! Just re-downloaded the app and need to use it for a bit. Total review might change!

The app is great, easy to use, comprehensive, colorful . . . but I do have one complaint. Twice now, when I've pulled up radar, I've found an ad covering half the screen, which wouldn't be a problem if I could close it. Can't though. Both times I've had to close the app and begin again. Otherwise, I would give this weather app a perfect score.

This used to be a good app but now the weather map can't be expanded to check for any future storms coming in. The expand button was even left that doesn't work to make it more annoying. I read your responses to other reviews that state you are always striving to improve the app. That's definitely not true here since you intentionally took up space from the full screen weather map and replaced it with MORE ads. I've been using this app for a few years but I'm deleting it today. Please fix it.

I was going to delete this app because this morning the add was so big I couldn't see the map. It didn't even have an X to make it go away. I contacted the app and explained the issues I was having. Went back and now it's back to normal. Not sure if it was trying to get hacked. Which I have a good internet and phone security and spam app to help. I am not paying to have the app free of adds which I I get there will be adds but it took almost the whole screen and could not see the map.

It was fun while it lasted, but like with most apps that get popular, each update brought additional adds that diminished the experience. The radar function was reduced to half screen with no way to get rid of the ad that took up the other half of screen, as an example. Ads galore now. UPDATE: Incredibly quick response. Will update and reinstall if issues addressed.

The latest update displays an add on the radar page that takes up more than 70% of the page. This change makes the app useless to anyone wanting to use the radar feature to see when the showers will be affecting them. It's a great app if you want to see adds that practically take up all your screen real estate. Dont install this app. Find something better.

UPDATE 4/16/2022: The problem I was experiencing with ads seems to now be fixed. Therefore, I amended my rating from one star to four stars. Thank you! I can now see the full radar map, without an ad taking over half of the page and crowding the map down to a non-usable size, and other sections of the app also seem to be working correctly now, as well.

One of the better weather apps around. Accurate and complete with features missing in many other apps. Ads on the app are to be expected but are not overly annoying. Best all-around weather app I have tried. Update; took one star away. App still good but screen has become to cluttered. Your eyes must process to much info at once. Also, ads are becoming more obtrusive.

I've had this app since it started years ago. It was perfect, key word WAS! to the board room members your profits are not worth the wait for all your ads to load just so i can have a slowed, watered down version that takes 5 mins to start the radar of what use to be a helpful tool app. To anyone else desiring a weather app if you like a lot of ads and waist your time this is the app for you! Removing this app was the best thing for my phone it stoped lagging and glitches stopped....

I love that you can change the background!! I also like that you can change the color on the widget so that it pops out according to what color your wallpaper is 😊 this weather app is my go-to versus the weather on tv, it is always 100% correct, pretty darn amazing I must say!! I highly recommend!! Lots of different choices and lots of different information!!

Too many cliff hanger click bate notifications that requires having to go to a page to finish reading. The ads have increased as well. I can tolerate ads to a point and willing to pay a reasonable one time amount, but that wouldn't fix the backwards time consuming design of the entire app. Even the forecast charts, you should be able to scroll to the end of the day, week, etc like every other app I've used, are cliff hangers requiring another click and likely another ad.

All was fine until latest update. My ad-free status was lost, again, and this time it will not restore. I emailed support and have not received a response. This is not good customer service, especially as I'm a paying one. Someone contact me and fix this please. The timed full screen ads are ANNOYING and unnecessary in particular. They make the app harder to use.

The radar does a great job of showing systems moving in your area. Invaluable when you are on a motorcycle and trying to avoid bad weather. Also, the length of sunshine and lunar phases are nice. The weekly forecast doesn't always match the local weather stations, but it's close.

I really want to like it, but... Inaccurate weather info. On multiple occasions I've been told it will rain, then nothing. Emergency weather alerts for a recent storm were stating there would be a freeze until I realized the alerts were coming from another state, 60mi away. Cluttered UI, no way to organize or change elements. There are 3 forecast links on the front page alone. Spams weather notifications for areas that are not even remotely close to me, as in the other side of the country.

The radar is better than most other weather apps but is sometimes slow to load especially without wifi. Also depends on your phone. It's better than it used to be. I like the sunup sundown and moon rise and fall page as it tells you how much sunlight you have left in a day and when the moon will cross the horizon. Great for photographers. If your used to reading radar you can deduce how much time you have before it rains.

Great app in terms of content, but it's really frustrating when you pay the one time fee to remove ads and it doesn't get rid of ALL ads on the app. Really disappointed and will likely remove the app because of this. I'd love to see the developer address this without an automated or bureaucratic response but rather explain the justification and lack of clarity.

I really want to uninstall but it won't let me because it was already on my phone when I bought it. Lame. When I try to look at the radar, or anything for that matter, the damn ads take up half the screen. So for those in an actual emergency now have to focus more on stupid ads than the weather. It was bad before the update, now I really don't like this app. RadarX is way better imo.

It might have been nice...if I could get it to load. That's a waste of time. I did get it to load finally, and it was worth the wait! As of May 2022 this app has greatly improved over my last rating. I love the app it's easy to understand, it explains a lot of details if you're interested in learning it. Opens up fast works fast and it's very accurate. No more sticking when you try to swipe. Thanks for working on it!

As of the latest update, now when I go to delete notifications in the top bar of my tablet, the app's setting to show the current temperature also disappears and I have to actually go in and open the app again to get it to reappear. Would still like a settings option to make font larger. I have been saying this for a long time now.

I used to like this app and the widget was perfect on my homescreen but they upgraded from ribbon ads to fullscreen video ads so now every time i want to check the weather i have to look at a commercial, currently looking for a better weather app now unless they remove these terrible sellout ads. Update: they just made it even worse, ads take up nearly the entire screen now. Uninstalled. Reply: I wouldnt know, i gave in and downloaded an app so i could get rid of the atrocious ads for a month.

Decent weather app, provides plenty of information, the radar could do with some improvements though. But I noticed in regards to memory usage it seems massively bloated. Using over a gigabyte of my phone memory on average, for what? It's second only to the phones operating system... Something seems off there.
