So far I'm loving it. Simple and clean interface. I'm working out from home so this is perfect for me. I'm loving the fact that app program my workout automatically. I'm waiting for add sync with Google fit and then I will rate it 5 stars.
I used this app off and on and I've come to the decision that it's not for me. Pros: Clean and simple user interface. It's great if you are planning on working out at home. This is not an app you want if you want to go to the gym. While you can use these workouts at the gym, you would mainly be using free weights and a mat. Cons: A lot of the recipes are very bland and not that tasty. If you have favorite recipes, don't expect them to automatically be generated in the meal plan.
So far I like it. The only issue I am having is the meal prep portion keeps giving me recipes that are 30+ minutes of prep. I just don't have time to spend an hour or more a day cooking (I work long hours). It keeps doing this even though I have shorter recipes checked in the filter. It's making using the meal prep portion hard. Other than that great app.
Love this app used it for years. Always great diets and workout plans. I recommend it to all my friends starting working out if they don't want to go to the gym.
First thing as soon as u enter the app is pick a plan and pay like I'd wanna buy without even a trail there are plenty of scams, of course you show results and story of other people but there's also Photoshop. Paid app and somehow don't feel like trusting after reading the app review! Wasted my time with so many details and didn't even provide the value for that
I love it so far!! The workouts are great for any level and the meals, wow there is just so many to choose from! I'm so so thankful for all of you!
The subscription isn't refundable if it was an automatic renewal, which is a disgusting practice. I'm lucky enough that $80 isn't going to make or break anything for me, but there are many for which it would. I will never recommend this app again.
This app is a waste of money and time. Not only was the app a disappointment, but after I tried numerous times to cancel subscription renewal, there were technical glitches that somehow created a subscription renewal that I did not want. I was recently charged a 2nd year for a bad app I used for 1 month. I have tried to unsubscribe from the app numerous times, without success. When I brought this to the attention of 8Fit, the tech support was most unhelpful. No integrity, no quality.
If you do subscribe to 8fit the first thing to do is immediately disable the subscription autorenewal. It's switched on automatically and is of no benefit to you. They will give you no advance warning that the subscription is coming up for renewal so if you have stopped using the service and forgotten about it you will be charged without any opportunity to cancel. If you immediately tell them to cancel and refund they will refuse to do so regardless of how long its been since you used it.
I have used the app for years and have paid for the subscription, but woth Android 12 upgrade the app crashes and doesn't work. Contacting app support was useless as they did not respond.
Zero stars. I will never use this app again if this is how they treat people. I was considering the paid version of the app and it offered me a free trial and went on a charged my card $80 for my free trial... I've never been so appalled with an app.
I luv this app. I used it when I needed to start moving but was intimidated to start at a gym. The meal planning and grocery shopping list is supper helpful.
I really enjoy this app. It's fairly inexpensive for everything that is included. Yoga in itself can be pricey. Full meal plans with great options for customisation. I found a lot of other programs that said for beginners and I was unable to do half the moves. Where as 8fit gives options if you cant do a movement cuz of a bum wrist or knee. It also comes with a music option as well. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because you cant turn the screen off. The timer will stop.
Using the app for two days already and it's awesome! Though I'm having some issues with 1) target weight (fat percentage) - it can't be properly adjusted, 2) search of meals by words - when you look through the results, then click on a meal and then go back to search - the search line becomes empty. Also - I'm using a free trial now, then it's supposed to be charged annually. How do I switch to monthly payment? Thank you!
This app is awesome. Put on a bit of weight during lock down, been doing the exercises this past week. It is a really easy app to use, good user interface. It's easy to choose the right level for your ability, and you are able to change individual exercises to your preference. I started as novice and pushed myself using harder exercises, so I changed the ability level to apprentice, now I get harder exercises as standard. I feel more myself, I might even continue with this rather than the gym.
Perfect way to stay healthy. I use it to make sure I'm getting the right amount of protein, carbs, nutrients and vitamins each day. It has helped me tremendously. I am vegan with a few food allergies. Love the option to exclude recipes containing certain foods. All recipes have alternative options. Shopping list is magic! Great support, they respond so quickly and implemented suggested changes. I don't use the exercise portion as I'm following a cycling training plan of my own but looks nice.
If I could choose 0 I would. I previously had 8fit and it was great. I decided to get it again and paid for a year long subscription, upfront. This time however, after I bought the subscription, the money was taken from my account and my app has never been updated - it still says that I need to purchase a whole new subscription. I have tried to contact 8fit numerous times and the only result was a cheeky message when I tried to receive a refund. I have no working app and already paid in full.
I have used this app for a month and I totally love it. I like how you can set targets for your body with an efficient training program. Before each section, you can choose the music and warm-up sessions as you would like to. In the actual program, you could proceed, pause, see instructions in the app. And after the workout, you can stretch muscles with little exercises at the end. Overall, this is an amazing app I have ever had. My body feels absolutely awesome since using it.
I kind of like the app, but the more I use it, the less impressed I am. #1 constantly asking to schedule the next workout, even if you've scheduled one, is awful. #2 workouts are bland, with no voiceover or music options. #3 The feed feels like it should be customizable, so that I can pin a challenge or see upcoming scheduled workouts. In general, the app feels like it lacks imagination, which is disappointing because the content is good, but it's difficult to want to use it. (Reviewed pro)
I've had it for a month now and besides taking xmas holiday off I've used it consistently. It's easy to add extra to supplement easier workouts, which helps me mentally. I know that if I need I can do the quick and easy. But once I'm going I'll do extra reps or sets. one thing I've noticed over time is that the cool down doesn't map well to the muscles I've used. So I do better strerches and use it as a timer. Also the calendar has a bug; UI doesn't map to code, it's a day off.
Great app. Great exercises from beginners to advanced. Recipes are great as well based on your preferences on food. It's not like any other app I've tried. I have lower back pain and exercises are modified to fit my needs, throughout the workouts you have exercise videos to teach you the proper way of doing them. This app is the best so far! Thank you 8fit!
This app has a pretty good workout progression system, at least if you start from zero. I like that it has warm-ups prior to and stretches after the main exercises. Although those additional elements of a routine feel random, and main exercises at times are full of lunges. But it's for free (without a meal plan, which is a paid option) and the app has no 3rd-party ads, and doesn't bother you much with self-promotions. So it's really good... Except it crashes often and you lose your progress.
This is certainly one of the more beautiful designed fitness apps out there. A free plan gives you access to meditation and exercise routines. A pro plan lets you access their recipes. No ads but the free version is a bit limited. Also exercises don't seem to autoplay. Has delete account option. Definitely worth investing in if you want to take advantage of all the features. If you wanna seriously work out, the free plan may not be enough.
I have no problem paying the pro version because it was perfect: it has different levels for working out, classes with trainers and a full book of recipes which have different dietary needs and let you export the shopping list. It has helped me to order my life... I said it was perfect because I also used all the meditations, but this week they were all changed. I don't like the new ones... I'd really appreciate the ones that were before to come back.
I love the workouts, I always feel great afterward and you can move up difficulties at your own pace! They have delicious meals, and a lot of diet options compared to other apps. I the reason it's four stars and not five is because I tried to vegan meal plan for a while, and the portions were huge. One serving was way more than I could eat on my own, for almost all meals. But I will say, I haven't been vegan for a while, so this might have changed.
Most of the meals aren't good tasting. Some of them are remarkably tasty. A great add on they should implement is a water tracker for hydration purposes. Humans tend to have more energy when hydrated, lol. I enjoy most of the workouts. I like to go in order. They should also implement a tracker for the workouts. Once you've completed a level, there should be some sort of indication that its completed. That's the biggest flaw to me.
The exercises are easy to do at home according to our calibre. One thing I found missing in the instructions is when to take breath or hold it because breath is essential component of an exercise to reap maximum benefits. I would love if they add it in their next update. Thanks.
