A Color Story

Updated the app and now I have lost all of my downloaded filters and it won't let me connect to my instagram account. I also noticed that I no longer have any favorite filters saved. The number of free filters and effects has also dramatically decreased. I see in the reviews other people have had similar issues and the developers claim it was fixed. Definitely does not seem to be fixed as I downloaded the most recent update. Very dissapointed as I have used this app for years with no issues.

Absolutely adore this app, have used it for years to edit photos. Since the new Android update I've lost all of the downloadable filters and effects, and can't get them back. This is especially annoying because I pay for ACS+. I'd be happy to update my review if this bug gets addressed in a timely manner.

This app is constantly crashing, and the mirror effect doesn't save properly. It's screwed up I'm paying for something I can't use half the time. Such a bummer because I love the effects, but luckily there are plenty of other photo editing apps.

UPDATE: Have uninstalled/reinstalled and my premium membership is no longer available?? I keep having issues with the grid preview and adding instagram accounts. Other than that, I love this app and have been using the premium membership for 2 years - worth it!

This app gives loads of creative options and features are similar to Instagrams editing aesthetic. You can easily soften, harden, sharpen images and there's plenty of room for creativity. I've been using this app for about 6 months now and really can't complain!!!

Since the last Android update, all the saved filters disappeared. I had to download 4 times all the ACS+ filters, which is a bit tedious. I sent two emails to the customer support and I didn't get a reply. Right now I am paying for a ACS+ subscription that I cannot use it

I've loved this app for several years now, but the last few months, every time I open it I have to re download all of the filters. It says the new update fixed that, but it definitely did not on my phone. I purchased all the filters and now I can't use them anymore.

Great app when it works, but after the last Android update, I've lost all my downloaded packs and got locked out of them after trying to re-download. I'm at ACS+ subscriber as well, so its unfortunate to pay for something I can't use.

I'm already a subscriber, and I'm constantly having to re download the filters even tho I'm already a payer. When I click on a filter it's telling to subscribe to get the filters. I will no longer use this app. Uninstalling and unsubscribing.

Its a very great app... but i have suggestions which i think more people will like and enjoy better for their fandom edits. You should add a filters of pastel blue and pastel pink to where you select yourself to where you put it and please its needed to a lot of people so its needed

Filters are beautiful! I only wish I could pay monthly for membership. I'm on maternity leave and don't quite have a random 20-odd quid to hand out all at once just now but I could do a pound or two a month until I'm back at work. If I could pay monthly I'd definitely go pro.

I love this app. I use it often. I am a paid subscriber to this app. I highly recommend this app. I just hate being prompted to review thousands of times. It interupt the click flow when editing a seriesof pictures. Very frustrating.

I love this app, it is AMAZING for quickly elevating photos. On the off chance that you need to contact customer service - they are ALSO amazing. I pay for the premium and it is so so worth it.

When it works it's great . I decided to pay for the app to edit photos for instagram and I do really enjoy it. It can be simple just slap a filter on your photo or you can spend time really editing. I like being able to save it to a grid to see how it looks. My only problem is the app has been quitting A LOT even after updates. Sometimes I can't even open it. Really disappointed since I paid for it, I'd expect it to work better.

I really love the filters and effects, they're the only reason I keep trying to get the app to work. I've used it off and on over the past two years because it's been super glitchy and will either quit unexpectedly or not even start up. And earlier, after getting a new phone, it wouldn't restore my purchases. I contacted A Color Story but the staff was immensely unhelpful, suggesting that I uninstall and reinstall, turn my phone off and on, which I had done already and stated so. Even after updating my phone software it wouldn't restore my purchases, and the staff never gave me a good answer or even suggested a refund. So I didn't use the app for a few months. Now I'm back, but the app won't even start. Soooo, yes wonderful filters, but you'll probably lose your purchases if you get a new phone and you won't get any help from the company. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Loved the variety of filters and effects. One of the biggest draws to this app for me was the ability to make photos look like film! My one complaint, which is major for me, was the decrease in photo quality. A problem that I don't have with apps like VSCO. So if vintage style photos are what you're hoping for, then I would recommend, however there are better apps that cost much less (or even free) if you're wanting something more professional.

Love this app but it's currently not letting me access the editing side of things? When it's working, it's exactly what I needed to boost my photos, bringing them to life in a new way! Thoroughly recommend subscribing to have full access, totally worth it. One downside is that you can't retro-edit each layer (if you add multiple filters + effects to one photo) You can only undo in order. Would be good to be able to toggle filters on and off before confirming, so you don't get stuck as above!

I really like the wide range of editing tools and it's a pretty awesome how much control of the image you have editing wise. But I don't like how expensive the packs are and such but I'd be so amazing if we could have a larger variety of textures, especially film ones like powder, scratches, light leaks, ect. oh! and if we could have more control over how we edit the light leaks that would be the best! like maybe change of color and such.

Love all the filters and editing options. Grid function is seriously buggy, though. Every time i open the app, my photos are in different spots. When I try to put them back, it switches the pictures back or swaps the one I'm moving out with another photo. It makes planning my feed super frustrating and I'm about to jump to a new app for this function.

Absolutely loved this app. But the recent problems have not been solved and on fact it's just worse. I've uninstalled and reinstalled today (04 Oct 20) and it still won't even open before it crashes. The one time I managed to get as far as selected a picture to edit, it immediately crashed. I'm now trying to find another app with a similar filter for me to use as this app is no longer reliable. We've been told time and again that the issue is resolved and this is just not true.

This was my favourite editing app for a long time but recently it has stopped working unless you are connected to WiFi. Editing pics was something I enjoyed when I couldn't do anything else so this is particularly annoying. And like others, when I changed my phone I had to purchase add-ons again, which is a crappy way to make money off loyal customers. There are a few bugs - when you add a pic to your grid from editing it, it zooms right in on the centre rather than at the right resolution.

As I swapped from IOS, and I was hoping some of the features would carry over. Recent updates on Apple included the multiple photo edits feature which I appreciated, and also easier maneuvering. Unfortunately, I've found that this Android version is buggy, laggy and overall a lacklustre experience to use. I will continue using it only because I've invested money in the filters and I do love the concept. Please update and fix the bugs.

I've been using this app for a long time and it is my consistent go-to for phone photo editing. I am a professional photographer but when I just want to edit my phone photos, this app does a great job with color and light adjustments. I love all the presets! I find the preset packs are totally worth the few dollars they cost. Which is nothing compared to actual photographer preset costs. But even the free presets do a great job.

When the app actually works it's super simple to use. Most of the filters are sparkles & light streams and weird colors which let's face it, nobody needs those things. If u get a new phone or have to uninstall & reinstall it takes forever to get ur purchased content back. For the last week I can't even get the app to load & it most definitely has nothing to do w/ the user or device as I have tried everything. So it just works when it wants to. I enjoy the ease of all the basic tools though.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING IN-APP! The app has had some serious bug issues lately, you can't upload a photo without the app crashing and closing out. I've been using the app for years and really enjoyed using it in the past. A few weeks ago I opened the app so I could get back to using it, and purchased a bunch of filter and effect packs. But I haven't been able to use them at all because photos can't be uploaded :/ Don't make the same error I made, I suggest waiting until they fix the issues first

Almost everything is only usable if you buy it, or pay for a certain subscription monthly. I don't mind the subscription and individual packs, but the prices are way too high. I can probably find another photo editor for cheaper/free. I love the layout of the app, though, and it really is unfortunate on how much you have to pay for, otherwise I would probably rate this app a 5 star.

It is a great app, but sadly I can't edit videos anymore. I used to use it a lot to edit my pictures and videos when I was using an iPhone 8, but now that I have a Huawei Pro 20 it says that there is an error every time I try to upload a video. However, I really like the effects and the filters, even though you have to buy the majority of them!

I am new to Color Story and am still learning it but I absolutely enjoy all the filters and tools that are included in the VIP package. I would suggest signing up for the unlimited access. It's only $24 a year and if you're on social media everyday than it's worth it. It creates a lot of dynamic range in photos that could otherwise look or be boring.

Having been a loyal ACS since it was first launched, there are many aspects of it that still irritate me. The most annoying of them is that there are no options to save and work from drafts. This is particularly irritating if someone gets sidetracked, exits and then re-enters the app to find their work is totally gone. Also, kudos to the genius behind the "Seasons" filters pack, labelling the filters by months of the year, without realising half the world's seasons are completely opposite.
