Thanks for the update. I've briefly looked through it and I'm liking what I see. The one thing I'm having trouble with is closing the app. The old version had access to the Android triangle, circle, square icons. This version blocks that from appearing. I have been able to log-out, yet that only takes me to the sign in page. Since I also need to use the other functions/ features of my Android phone, I find myself having to re-start my phone to exit the app, which is quite inconvenient.
The app isn't perfect (it's getting there however!) but I'm elevating my rating to 4 stars due to the phenomenally responsive customer customer service that helped me through what was a bit of a rocky update process following their rebuild of the app. Keep up the great work. Keep responding to your customers feedback and refine this app even more. My one suggestion is a search feature. It would be an amazing tool to be able to search indications for points by key words. For instance, points that treat hypertension or clear Wind, etc. This would become the hands down go to app and easily deserving of 5 stars if you could find a way to incorporate something like that. Edit: Turns out I'm just blind, there is a search feature! 5 stars.
Edited Oct 19: customer support contacted and created an account (with a different last name). Unfortunately, if your last name is only 2 characters, the only fix so far is to contact their support team. They will create an account with a modified last name on your behalf. No crashes or large bugs noticed since the new update, but I also have not extensively used the app yet.
I previously wrote a poor review. This is a happy update. The customer service has greatly improved. The app has reloaded properly today, and seems to be much faster, and all the pictures show up when they are supposed to. The app is now much more robust, and I can easily use all the features, which wasn't the case in the previous version. Thank you JCM for fixing the problems.
I have really enjoyed this app...however I purchased the pro membership, which is for life, and all of a sudden my subscription is no longer active. So I'm back to the basic version. I've emailed and also submitted multiple tickets with no response. Can someone please contact me so I can have this issue resolved? I really appreciate everything this app has to offer and am in school, so I really would like to use it. Thanks! Once resolved I'll change my stars!
Not worth buying! Expensive app for what has to offer! no online access for payed standard version that was not cheap(CAD37) and missing important actions in every acu point! Moreover, the note function is archaic and has very limited functions. Also where are the contraindications and the anatomy of concern like the vicinity of vessels and nerves? This app is incomplete at best.
Great content but the (my point groups) cannot be edited once set? So no way of deleting points or point groups which makes it a big problem categorising. This is in the phone app and website which is very poor for such basic functionality for a paid app. Also how come the point groups you set on the website do not sync with the phone app again a no brainer, such a shame as the content is great. I have also tried to contact the developer but no response???
I have to upgrade my review. The customer care department hung in there with me and got my app working like before the change. Im very happy. The app itself is fantastic, helpful and completely useful during acupuncture school. Loved it.
Great app, very thorough and detailed! If you are serious about learning acu points, this app is a must! I bought it a few years ago and had some problems with the setup on a new phone. The customer service was promt and helpful. They resolved my issue in a matter of hours.I am very happy with this app!
Im writing this because i bought the app in 2012 or 13... now they want me to pay for it again... it was supposed to be a one time enrollment. Now all the things pretty much that i had access to i can't unless I pay again. Thanks guys its now useless to me, strongly can't recommend. The app historically has had many glitches and finicky, just buy the text book, at least you will own that and "It" I must say say is Very Good. After all this time they could have improved the app instead of + $$$
App was working well purchased for university back in 2018.. recently was not working. SO EMAIL SUPPORT. Told me to uninstall app. So I did.. now can not get on app at all. Request to reset passwords several times now.. still can not get on.. gone onto my proof of purchase Google q App doesn't go back to 2018.. only showing up recent purchases from 2020. So really disappointed with deadman.. This happen last year.. with updates app last year which took 3 months without app.. now thinking is this app worth it.. used the book more.. runs slow.. just had so many problems with it..
I really love this app and it is very useful for my studies. I encountered a minor issue with the updated version but the support team got back to my email straight away and walked me through the process to get it sorted and it's up and running straight away. The new version is even better than the old! Thank you for such a great tool. Great job.
I purchased this app for my android device. paid full price and used it with full access for years, daily. it was slow, it lagged, failed to launch but it worked as long as I was patient with it, now with this new update, I'm restricted to just the lung channel and have to pay for a pro membership for access?!!! really though?!! update: thank goodness for customer service. i can now ride off into the sunset. thank you!
Wonderful, I don't understand the negative reviews. It's extremely useful and has all features one can dream of. My only three concerns: (a) how to sync my point groups etc between web and app? (b) not directly evident that one time 30 bucks unlocks half of functionality and then another 30 for full. I happily pay 2*30 since it's worth it, just not clear from the start. Then (c) I don't see a way of contacting them other than leaving a review and praying that they explain how to sync.
New version is to slow on Android, takes to long till its responding and most times doesn't opened right so you need to go back and forth again and again. Another thing is that after releasing the new version - some features that were available for many years are not available any more for the old users and if you need it, you need to buy the "premium" - not sure it legal to do it ... :/
Very convenient app to look up points. Much better than having to carry around a 5 pound book. Had issues with some of the recent updates but support was quick and courteous in contacting me.
Been locked out of this app for around a year. After being sent round n round in circles I emailed them 3 weeks ago with screens shot of problem and receipt of purchase. I have heard nothing. Shame you can't give minus 🌟. Do not pay for this app unless you just want throw money away and be ignored.
It was good in every way except the software freezes very often in my mobiles Samsung m30s, redmi note 4. Kindly sort out. Waiting for suggestions to clear the app freezing problem. App freezes when I click points and while scrolling within the pages..
Great app, finding it very useful for my studies. The videos are great on the pro version. The MOA team were very prompt and supportive via email when I was experiencing an issue with upgrading my account.
This bought app almost always doesn't work by typing Chinese spelling while searching a point on my android 9 oppo phone, but can work on my laptop, however, no explanation of the anatomy. Too terrible and annoying for I can't always carry my laptop. Today I try to search with LV-3, or LV3 on this website on my new laptop, no response at all.
I bought this app 3 years ago when i began studying acupuncture, but recently with the new update i have been locked out of all my bought content except the lung channel, it was stated that this should not happen but i have tried updating the app, relogging and reinstalling still to no avail, hoping this can be resolved
This is so slow. I really like this app because of the videos and clear info. But I cannot give 5 stars because there are some acu points missing on the Body Area Illustration or they didn't want to include in the app.
Great easy access at the touch of my fingertips. First I had it on my computer. Now on my phone and anywhere with a browser and online access. Excellent!!
trouble in creating a free account to access the App. The support team sent me two links by email, one link is asking me to upgrade and pay again for pro and Google play does not show my order of purchase. another one is support tech that I can't sign in with my user name and password. There are thousands of people using this App. When your company changed the App, you are responsible for adding my profile, user name, and password to new App, allow me access what material I used to see. Thanks.
I've bought this twice now once for iPhone and then for android. Unlike any other app now I've changed my samsung android phone to another samsung android phone they are asking for proof of purchase before I can use it again. I think its prob 5 or 6 years ago and the purchases only seem to go back to 2019. Frustrating and time consuming.
loved this app when i paid $34 back on 2-16-18, so its literraly better than a standard membership but worse than a pro, until may when they started requiring me to sign in everytime and now i can't access my passed purchases, still, because google play overwrote the previous person so i couldnt sign-in and transfer i guess, too bad they havnt searched my email and solved this yet. i do like thsy this app is noticably faster than the previous one
Super helpful! A must-have app for any student or practicing acupuncturist! Most of the information available in the big, heavy print version, is quickly available here. I have tried the free week trial and I loved it. I have just updated to pro and I cannot wait to continue using it. Thank you, team, for making all this knowledge so accessible!!! I have used both iOS & Android app. I find the iOS version working more smoothly, but as an overall, I have not experienced technical issues.
