AA App for Android™

The news articles are great and informative, but the delivery is pretty bad. You can't participate in polls and they sometimes don't even appear, you can't view pictures they pair with the articles correctly, video/social media posts that are embedded are inaccessible and sometimes just restart the app. Like there are a bunch of issues with the delivery of information in each article. Sometimes they will post articles for app development courses and such, maybe they should enroll 😅😂

Over the last bit, when I depress the AA App, it takes me to the App on Play Store. To where I can either open the App, or uninstall it. I have uninstalled the App, and then reinstalled, with the same effect. I enjoy reading the latest news. I'm not going to uninstall this App, because I like it. It is not possible to highlight the text of the articles when you read them via app. As a result it is not possible to translate it using translator/dictionary app. For me such functionality is mandatory. English is not my first language and my extra goal, among other things, has always been to practice and improve it.

App is buggy. Using the most up to date version of app and android on a Note 20 Ultra. The button to get to comments doesn't always appear. The polls never show up. The push notifications are inconsistent. And even trying to go from the app to Chrome to view an article (to check comments or try to do a pool) doesn't redirect properly.

The app is absolutely terrible. There's ugly unrendered custom BBcode-type tags all over articles as most of the non-textual components don't render. Pictures are cut off to a landscape 16:9 aspect ratio when you click on them for some reason. There's a button to open articles in chrome, but if your default links for AA are to the app this just opens the app again. Some stories I see on Google that just don't show in the app! Funny the devs credit themselves everywhere on this horrible app.

I actually like this app. It keeps me up to date on both Android and iOS news as my family uses both. Over the last week or so, the app won't update stories saying that it can't connect to the Servers. It doesn't matter whether I'm on mobile network or on wifi. This needs to be fixed ASAP!!!

If you're taking about Netflix content can you say it's the US version. Why even talk about the US version if you're sending it to UK customers, every month you talking about the new content coming but it's not coming UK.Prices of phones in USD kind of pointless . More specific notifications about the type of phone, laptop or OS you use.

The app really has been slowly going downhill. Polls broke forever ago so I need to copy the article link to my browser just to participate. Completely unacceptable, no reason why a fix shouldn't have been implemented ages ago. Now thumbnails haven't been working and the widget is screwed up as a result (this had only been maybe a week though). Otherwise it's still a decent app but it could be so much better. I'm just fed up with the neglect.

I really like that the fact that I can get tech articles in one app, and I have no problem with the information of them. My problem is just with how the app works: I can't see pictures properly because 50% of them gets cut off, I can't participate in polls or can't even see poll results anymore, sometimes there are articles you can see on the internet but they are nowhere to be seen on the app,... Please fix this broken app or else I'm just going to get my information somewhere else

A very good app, it's the only Tech app on my phone but nowadays it no longer loads pictures on its main page and widget making the app looking very dull half useful as you cannot see the pictures of what u are viewing except u read the article, pls fix this issue. I have uninstalled and reinstall two times now to no avail!

app still feels clunky. pictures within articles never work or show up correctly. links broken half the time. ads at bottom of page are still annoying. content is also getting weaker every month, feels more like a cheap way of getting people to buy from your 'discounts' on your store.

Invasive fullscreen ads that disrupt whatever you were reading or watching in the app. Highly annoying! So much so that I'll give it until the next update, if they're still there or worse, then it will be uninstalled.

Great app with smooth User Interface and intuitive features. Having no ads is the best part. Just update the Content within app more quickly as it's done on Android Authority's Website. For example, 'Android Pie Tracker' is updated first of website and it's updated pretty late on the App.

I have really enjoyed having this app. I like learning about Android and Google and staying on top of trends. I like the layout and how the posts are organized. I also live the giveaways. I haven't won yet but I enter every week. They also offer discounts and special deals.

Dark theme is far preferable to the bright website, however, strange typos and formatting errors (such as random unclosed tags in whatever their markup language is) that do NOT appear on the website abound in the app. I cannot recommend this app unless you really need a push notification for every article.

I have had this app for a good while now and I never experienced a problem with getting news about giveaways and other articles. But for some reason I can't seem to access the giveaways as if they don't exist in the least bit. I'm also having a problem with getting news updates too. I hope this gets taken care of soon because I really like this app. Let's see what it looks like in a while.

After the October 15 update, it keeps crashing when I tried to open it. The update says "bug fixes", but sure doesn't feel like it, this "fix" forces me to uninstall. Sorry!

I have been using this app for years now for my daily tech news and it hasn't let me down until sometime before when it started behaving vacuous and doesn't update its content unless I Uninstall and reinstall it. Admins please update the app it's been a long time since August 2018.

App refuses to connect to their server despite being on wifi. When clicking on a twitter post in story it takes you back to the main article feed instead of going back to article. Very frustrating on both counts.

Doesn't jump to articles from Google app news feed, making this app a little less useful. Easier to not have the app and have a web browser open the AA link, otherwise ok for general article browsing.

Content is good but anything interactive doesn't work in app (usually requires opening Chrome and searching there). Plus I cannot sign in with Facebook and doing so with Twitter says I have to join Disqus to be able to post, etc. Ridiculous!

Horrible app never opens the article when I click on a link in another app, Facebook Twitter etc, just shows list of articles. uninstalled because just visiting AA in a web browser.is a vastly better experience.

Check out this new phone leak if you can see it with words running all across image. Participate in this poll,just not from our app because you can't. Informative but messy.

Only a few hours with no problems. I changed the notification frequency from "All" to "Once a Day" as they were coming every 5-15 minutes 🔊 I don't need that. I can always check it manually.

Latest update fixes broken, crashing on start, app. Easier format to viewing on mobile browser with black background and favorite pages, save function.

Content is amazing. But the app's design is outdated. It harks me back to android 6. The website looks awesome on the other hand. And polls aren't displaying. Please fix this

This app is incredible. Very informative. But for some reason, it stopped registering that Im connected to the internet. My phone is definitely connected, but the app just doesnt know or realize, so its basically not using it. Would be a five star though. Please fix.

No updates in 18 months. The app no longer loads pictures or video, and the polls don't work and have to be opened through the webpage. Either update the app or take it off the play store.

Ended up deleting the app. I marked articles as read but they still show up. I delete articles but they reappear. Not worth the hassle any longer to wade through stuff. The app needs a major rewrite.

Very bad app! When you try to set up an account through the app, the web page comes up nonexistent. Fishing for info...maybe a false url.
