Still buggy as all hell. Every time I finish a reading an article and go back to the list, it says there's new stories and needs to refresh. Every. God. Damned. Time. When you push the refresh button to make the message sod off, nothing uodates. Sometimes it comes up as soon as the app is opened! How can there be new stories when it just loaded the stories?! And now this app is now trying to feed your data to Twitter in the background. Just garbage.

I like the app but the "updates available refresh" bar appears one third of the way down the screen and really gets in the way of the article you are reading. If you want to keep scrolling, you're stuck with it.

Unable to turn on Notifications in APP!! Please fix! My app is up 2date & have cleared cache, restarted etc. I want to choose what notifications I receive from the long list !

Used daily, but there is a recent issue. Photos within articles disappeared approx. one month ago, seemingly for no reason. Two updates since, no change. LG G4. Otherwise a good news source.

It was good but now I can only see pictures. It's difficult trying to guess what the story's about.. Seems to be a problem with the dark mode setting on my phone. Annoying though

The only notifications I have turned on is breaking news. My phone has been going off all day in relation to nonsense speeches by politicians. How is this breaking? It should have been one notification if anything! How about just report important things that are actually newsworthy

Notifications do not link to the correct articles unfortunately. Otherwise great, but that's a major problem.

Decent app, however notifications are way too aggressive. No way to turn off COVID daily stats as far as I can tell, which means I'll get a notification every morning about case numbers, in perpetuity.

Please a dark mode, please. Always the best news service, but hate the digital news stories, when I see them I stop reading.

Sometimes freezes. Boots me out . Makes me a bad coffee.. Doesn't let me Finnish this survey. Becoming frustrating. Finally. All's good.

Installed the update. Still not working in dark mode when it used to up until about a month ago. Whatever you updated a while back please wind it back. App is now useless.

It's just a web browser with reduced functionality. Search in page is one missing function.

Frustatingly only opens on story of the notification occasionally. Items usually good when you can get the ones you want.

I don't like that there's no ability to contribute to the dialogue. Even Flipboard has the ability to engage. My taxes pay for the ABC, is it just a propoganda network or can it realise it's independence? And I notice no responses to other reviews so this probably is an outsourced initiative by your friendly government!

Good: Clean Bad: Slow & choppy. Lateral swiping or vertical scrolling is a little rough/choppy and refresh takes too long!

Excellent but where is dark mode? Device batteries are expensive and a blazing white screen is unsatisfactory and painful to look at! Otherwise app is great, well done

ABC news is great, but I'm sorry to see the Digital Story Inovation Team proliferating. I'd like to be able to simply read normal black text on white background without this hard to read nonsense.

Trying to log in from Germany and asking for credentials. Just too hard and not worthwhile any more. What are they thinking at our ABC. Rather spend money on upgrading the content than having the technical people create road blocks .

To quote Jan Wenner, publisher of Rolling Stone and as with the ABC News for me, it has " all the news that fits". This app makes it all possible.

Clearly spelling is not overly important anymore. It would be better if they didn't keep regurgitating the same stories with different headlines as clickbait.

No connection panel repeatedly appears and won't go away, despite there obviously being a network connection available.

Forces you to give personal information and have to login. It's not your charter to collect personal information or force people to login into a service we pay for. Don't expect any support when the government cuts back your funding next time.

News reports are too heavily worded and not to the point of the lead in titles. The reading is onerous.

Every morning and afternoon I get the news first. Before I see it on the news at 5pm on tv. So i often dont watch the news on tv, because Ive already seen it in the morning. 😊👍

Difficult to log in with the assistance of a password manager because when app is out of focus (whilst retrieving password), it DROPS entered email and reverts back to initial login option Windows.

The new features like audio and local news on the homepage are really great and heading in the right direction. It's great to see videos being built into the app, however the execution needs to be better. e.g. the screen doesn't stay on when watching the live stream. And there's a bug where, after exiting and then reopening the app, videos pause every 5 seconds. A good exemplar you could look at is the Fox News app's implementation of video.

The new audio news won't stop playing of you accidentally press play and I have to restart my phone to stop it, closing the app won't even stop it!! What a nuisance. Poorly integrated into the app making reading the news difficult

The ABC app is always reliable, informative & keeps me up-to-date with news events here in Australia & overseas. Can highly recommend!
