Horrible performance. I've never had a single notification for something such as a pursuit successfully load the video content. I get a notification, I tap the notification, it opens the app to a video with "play" button. Tap the play button and NOTHING loads. I don't have an issue like this with any other apps. Fix your broken app if you want it used and enjoyed on a regular basis.

Doesn't work on my Samsung Pro 4 AA 7 pad. Considering that it doesn't even boot up from an android device, 1 star is MORE than an honest rating.😕

Too many notifications. Their version of "breaking news" is every other story. Calm the F down ABC.

I have a love/hate relationship with this app. When I first downloaded it years ago it was perfect - just the right news stories. Now it gives so much clickbait it's really annoying. It also will tell bad news (i.e. Wildfire news and updates CONSTANTLY) but never an actual resolution. Also, sometimes if you click on a push notification it doesn't even take you to the story it pushed and it's hard to find. Really annoying. But I put up with all of that because it also does inform me of news.

The news on the app is fine, the problem is the advertising. No matter how short the video accompanying a story is there is almost always a 30-second ad that plays before every single one. I spend more time watching their ads than I do watching the actual news. I understand they need to use ads to generate revenue, but the amount and frequency is pretty absurd compared to other competitive news applications from the area. It just kills the experience and makes it impossible to get news quickly.

The app videos take forever to load over 4g. I have a brand new phone and it does it on my other phone as well. Some of the people writing the stories dont re-read their article and i find errors all the time. Please learn proper grammar and pronunciation. Just about ready to delete the app. Also as the news, they tend to lean a certain way when I believe their stories should be neutral. Your the news, not judges. Bring the news. Not what you think is right or wrong. Again that's my opinion.

Clicking on notifications is impossible. It won't open the story, i continuously need to shut the app down and reopen the app then attempt to find the story. Another issue i have is being forced to watch videos, the more you scroll through an article the video continues to try and play. I don't want to keep closing the video 10 times while trying to read an article!!

Way too many commercials. They don't let you skip ad. News feed will freeze or cut off in the middle of the feed, and start over. This app used to work well and have less commercials. When you try to watch breaking news, it won't play at all since the last update. The play button and live button just have the spinning circle that never stops.

The app is easy to use. However the past few weeks the share button doesn't work at all for me. It did before. The one thing that I really dislike is the default to receive notifications from all over LA County which ends up being an excessive amount of notifications during the day. I think that there should be greater thought put into which stories will send notifications or the app should automatically prompt you when you download to select what you'd like the notifications to be for.

if you get a news alert notification and click on it it either opens a blank screen or it opens something that you had already open previously and never loads the new info. If you close out, and open the app you can't find the breaking news. if you receive a news alert and you're lucky enough to be able to find a livestream on it you have to watch commercials before you can see something like a car chase in progress. So you end up missing out.

I don't know if it was a recent update, but my app for Channel 7 Los Angeles is working very badly now. it takes over a minute to come up and the only way I can get it to come up is to turn my screen off and then turn it back on. Please fix this bug. Upon the fixing of the bug I will go into Google Play and amend my rating to a higher level also noting that you did fix the bug. I have a LG G5 if that helps. Thank you

I love the access to headlines from my favorite news station but this app is horribly developed. I can't click on a new notification if I've recently viewed one story, otherwise I'll be redirected to the earlier story and I lose my notification. I can almost never find that new story in my news dashboard. I have experienced these problems ever since I've had the app well over 2 years. I keep the app since I still value the notifications but if it been any other station I would have uninstalled.

Some news stories open up a video, rather than an article, starting with an ad that can't be closed. I have it set to never play videos automatically, so this is starting to get irritating. Otherwise, I've used the app for years and loved it. Before it started insisting on loud vids instead of text, that is. =/

News reports lack detail and are very uninformative. The constant loading of the associated video for each report is annoying and uses 20% of your phone's screen. No setting to disable this. I've been using this app for many years, but I recently found another news app that is much more informative and don't force videos to you.

Especially with live broadcasts, the videos don't upload or upload after perhaps 60 seconds. App is not useful at all. Q

Most horrible app. I do get alerts and what not so that's cool and why 1 extra star. I can't ever watch the news video they have for that story.... Watch the Ad, then nothing... So frustrating. It's like the Ad has 1 sec left to play so the video won't play. I've tried clicking the app and you think that worked cause as it changes to the Ad you can see in the background that the video you wanted will show like 1min 35 seconds vs the 30 sec commercial you just endured...

As far as notifications go, great app however all the news I get is from the LA area and I'm in the IE which I can add the IE in the settings but it won't allow me. Its cool to get news from all over but whats the point if I cant get it from my area?

Ive used this app everyday for the last few years. I was patient while they worked out bugs after they redesigned it but now I'm annoyed. Videos dont play after repeatedly pushing play. Then after you decide to read the story and scroll down video automatically plays and there is no way to turn off. Please fix!

Absolutely Love this app!! It's my go to for All news happenings. Best of all I can watch news clip and/or read article of news that I'm interested in.....pick and choose by tap of my finger and it includes any and all updates in appropriate order. No more waiting through repeats of other uninterested news clips, just scroll through and get informed. I LOVE ABC7!!💛🧡

Doesn't play video. Tried to open and play a weather alert and nothing happens. Nobile data enabled, Wi-Fi is on.

It just keeps getting worse. Autoplay videos and audio are annoying and means I can't use the app most places. Ads are so intrusive and repetitive that by the 3rd viewing in 2 minutes even if I liked the product I am now boycotting it. Then to put me out of my misery, the app stops scrolling. Perfect excuse to uninstall.

I get notifications but it won't open!

I get story notifications on my phone. When I click on them for the full story, the app doesn't load the story. I just get a blank screen. When it does load the story at least 2 to 3 minutes have passed. The app takes forever to open and usually freezes up. This has been going on for months and months. Very Disappointing

Horrible app. Very poorly coded. The app frequently freezes and crashed my phone multiple times. No other app does this. Also the advertisements for each video will play and then the video itself will not play. This app is now permanently deleted. It's sad that a major news corporation can't hire app developers to do a good job.

Terrible. Wanted a news app for live and breaking news. Shortly after installing and setting up my preferences, received notification of breaking news event. Clicked to view this event. 10 minutes later and many clicks to view, nothing. There are many negative reviews stating this same thing. Thought I would give it a try anyway. Too bad such a powerhouse of news in LA has such a awful app. Deleting app now. Thanks anyway.
