Used to work well, now seems to have constant issues and glitches. Trying to use the radio function and not even an option on the screen tonight...rubbish! Podcast needs fixing too !! Very poor sound quality. Oh ..and after reading through the other reviews i did notice the total lack of response to any of them by either the AFL or Telstra ! Shows how much you care...NOT.
The video function for news feeds and highlights needs to be seriously remodeled. You have five seconds where the info banner remains up on playback. Meaning whatever highlight you have wanted to see is usually finished and you can't rewind to see as the banner pops up again. Why the need for a five second time on the banner. Either make your clips so that the banner only covers non consequential footage or get rid of the info banner earlier. Also 15sec ad for a 10sec clip seems wrong.
Great for a quick check in. The app has declined from last year. Losing free features was a real let down. I wish the statistics were more accurate and there should be more than the last four scores to read.
Awful app. Keeps crashing, never shows concurrently running games live scores. Horrible and poor design. No options to set up customised home page, things like turn of aflw info and more. Shame you can't give less than 1 star.
This is a excellent app,it has everything you need, for team to team,live scores,many videos from different journalists after matches and various other times,all the players stats , biography detailed,I spend much time on it, is one of my favourite apps.
Despite constant forced updates there seem to be no noticeable improvements to the app. Switching landscape/portrait throws you to the start of the article. Reading, then exiting an article puts you back to the top of the list. Video errors are common. Interesting content though.
Vfl Streaming issues the full screen option has a share feature right across the screen on Android phones when rotating the phone , meaning you can't watch the game because you constantly have this option in the way of the game your trying to stream. Hopefully this will be resolved fast.
Navigating both the AFL app and website is too elaborate and not conducive to determination of the facts quickly and easily. Simplicity is key, and you have failed year on year to achieve a sensibly structured, common sensical apprach to website and app design. I will continue to use other avenues.
The app keeps me totally informed about my favourite sport. It is multi layered so that beginners or diehard fanatics like myself can get info easily and quickly. It used to cost $99 per year, now free, but worth a lot more than that cost.
At best, it's fine if unremarkable and littered with pay-to-see stats. But it's not in a workable state at the moment. It's telling me I need to update the app when it's already up to date. Reinstalled it to see if it was just a bug, but still being told to update it.
Playing videos through this app always causes me grief. Hit the play button and you effectively have no control of the video after that, if you can find it again that is. Deleting.
Essential for tipsters . Access to almost every aspect one could want to have when not watching the match live. Even better now with the very good companion tipping app.
Can't find what I am looking for. I want see what AFL games are on free to air TV. The year before last the app and the AFL site told me which channels in each state games were on and what time. Now it only says Kayo. Time to think of every day fans who can't afford Kayo or Foxtel. Why change? Shows yet again AFL Bose's only care about corporate dollars.
Still absolute garbage and to top it off they've chucked in an ad before every single video, no matter how long. Needs to be completely rebuilt, it's been so bad for so long
I've had to uninstall this 5 times this year. App keeps opening itself and taking over my phone. Videos don't buffer, they just cancel half way through. It's 2022, this should be remade.
Pretty good. Stats, audio, nice. Seems to occasionally be sync problems of scores not updating on all screens at the same time.
Tried to watch the VFL on phone and two diff tablets. On the phone the full screen button would work but the Share line was over the game. On the two tablets the full screen button didn't work at all.
Everytime I watch a video it stops and says I've lost internet connection which I haven't. This has been the last 2 years before that worked fine.
Very informative. Would like an easier experience when it comes to stats. I'm new to afl so I don't know all the options. Would like to see more player highlights as well. Thanks
I've never seen a more logic defying app in my whole life. The screen is filled with so much rubbish, yet somehow, there is even less content than there used to be.
App works most of the time. Last update has been stable. Would be four stars, but lost two stars for having Damian Barrett churn out whatever he passes off as "journalism" and the AFL's support of astroturfed socialist propaganda. Edit: Barrett is becoming a sad parody of his former dismal self further tainting the AFL in the process.
The app is too big on the screen of my s10+ It looks stretched and I can't see some of the information such as what time the games will be played. It's quite annoying
Good app. Easy to use, has everything you need to know (maybe too much) about the AFL. Reduced to a 3 star review for the update of now having Shell as a primary sponsor. Opposite of progressive, and disappointed to see the move by Tesltra and the AFL
Lots of lag and unstable images. Lots of videos that do not run. Advertising especially Sportsbet is over the top and actually interferes with ability to touch correct places on screen. Improvements on above problems in 2022, no longer an ussue. Annoying that stats are often lagging behind game after the siren. Sometimes for hours. Ads are irritating and I would pay for an app free of them.
