AFR

I love the content! I've moved to an area that the AFR terrestrial network doesn't cover, so I rely on the app. I feel bad doing it, but I had to knock a star off due to the instability of the app. When I have to put the app in the background (take a call/use another app/pause it for an extended period of time) the app locks up and has to be restarted. I try to tell as many people as I can about AFR, but I always hear "sounds like great programing, but the app is too buggy" Please help!

I love that I can access all the shows and live streaming from my phone anywhere. One issue is that the app, while playing, doesn't prevent the phone from going to sleep. So, while listening, when the phone times out and goes to sleep, the app stops playing and will often even lock up. When that happens, I have to log back into the phone and often close the app and restart it. Then, I have to re-find the place I was in the podcast I was listening to. That's really annoying. I'd like that fixed.

I really enjoy the content of the app. The app worked flawlessly on my old phone, on my Samsung Galaxy s10e it turned off within minutes of the screen going black. With the upgrade of the app this spring that problem was resolved, I thought. In the last week or so, it has gone back to turning off in the middle of whatever I'm listening to. Please fix!!

Would get 5 stars if it didn't keep stopping in the middle. I called the organization to report the problem I was told to delete the app and reinstall it, which I did. It's still stops occasionally, but of course always at the best part. Adding on: 1 just deleted it for the third time, and have to reload again. I hope they figure out the glitch soon. Still problems 8 months later! Took away another star. Sometimes I just select a show and cannot even get it to start playing.

This app has a very hard time playing with the screen off. It will play from 30 seconds to 3 minutes after I turn off the screen on my android phone. I have had this app on at least 2 different phones with the same results. The programs are great, but when I am intently listening to something, it always seems to shut off just as it gets to the "good part". This gets VERY aggravating...and I am normally a calm, patient person.

Overall great app. The only thing I have experienced that is a downer is when the feed pauses, sometimes for hours. Because the closest station is outside our area, this is the only way to receive the live broadcast. So when it pauses and doesn't recover I miss out. Otherwise great app. Everything is simple to get to and current. Thanks AFR.

App is great when it's working properly. I love AFR and the app options. I have begun having issues with the app stopping play after a few minutes after which I have to press play to restart the live audio again. I continue to repeat this process until I get frustrated, give up and close the app.

I love AFR, but they need to fix the AFR app. The only reason I have continued using the app is the convenience of listening to AFR when away from a radio. But the app has many troubles and is prone to crashing when the screen on your phone is off and when it prompts you to rate it, which it does often. I am writing this (my first) review in the hopes that the app will stop asking me to submit a rating, which crashes the app. Please, someone with a mind for programming, assist AFR in this.

This is an awesome app. I enjoy that I can download my favorite podcasts and carry them with me. I wish that my FireHD would allow the download. There is no Amazon app that allows the podcasts to be downloaded. When I tried to give positive feedback the only options or allows are negative or unsure. But there podcasts have meaningful impact on our lives.

y'all must have done something to prevent the freq cut-outs that happened, because it's not cutting out as much as it did. maybe it has something to do with being connected to a wifi network that's a cause - not sure. I love & am very grateful for AFR. hopefully the cutouts don't occur while I have to use my avail data.

I have a love/hate relationship with this. I download it, have issues, delete, then reinstall later and experience the same issues. 2 stars. If I can make it through 15 minutes without it autoclosing you get 3 stars. This app has issues, and it gives a bad taste in my mouth when I try to use it and have to reopen it constantly. I wont babysit your app. I'll give you 1 or 2 stars and move on till the update. Be a good steward and fix the issues.

this is an awesome app. Dropped a star, sorry, but I'm having issues here. I've had it close quite a few times and it switches between afr hybrid and music all by itself. But connectivity is my main issue , it keeps losing connection over and over. It's kinda irritating. I love afr but the app is useless most of the time.

I love AFR but the app is not very good. It randomly crashes, it cuts off when my phone goes to lock screen, and it frequently repeats randomly when the person is speaking. This has been going on for a long time. I don't have this problem with other apps. Please fix it. Thanks.

Finally The Truth!!! My only news source now is the AFA @ THE CORE. I have not watched the news or the propaganda on TV for the last 2 years but now I can get the truth and I can't thank this group enough! On that note the app does have to be restarted as it freezes every once in a while however I just restart from where I left off... Little annoying but not as annoying as the propaganda noise.

To all the people that are having problems. Please make sure to update is on. Also delete caches and browser history. I have been listening and using this app for years. No problems for years. I am very listener techno Savvy and this App and the People are very Savvy in on the minute updates on What's going on in this World. I am very thankful for this AFR Radio

Glitchy! I love this app and love it's content, but it constantly crashes and I have to restart it. This only started happening a few months ago. I uninstalled it and re-installed it, but to no avail, same issues. Please fix this so I can give it the 5 stars it so rightly deserves!

Great Content if this is your thing. However, the app is pretty subpar. The setup and functionality is ok at best. If you are having problems with the app stopping randomly try this: In the app settings, got to "battery" if you have the three options "unrestricted", "optimized" and, "restricted" and "restricted" is currently selected, try changing to "optimized". This worked for me. Gets one star because we shouldn't have to do this to make it work properly.

The app is great for keeping up with your favorite AFR shows. However, the constant lock ups and crashes it makes the app nearly unusable. And with the last update being a year ago, I'm not holding out much hope that this will be fixed anytime soon.

I just installed it however I can't locate an option to not load at startup. Normally, I would delete the app immediately as that is unacceptable. But as I love AFR an travel to areas where the stations are unavailable. I will give it a chance and update my review if I decide to keep
