Not exactly an intuitive user interface. Trying to figure it out on my own groovy little challenging and there is apparently no help and built into the app. And put it on my playlist but not the songs in them. I was just looking for an alternative to rocket music player and I thought this one would be it. I am uninstalling it as soon as I get done with this review.
5=>4 stars. Sometimes it decides to re-sort songs which messes up my order that I was building for years. Happened to me 3-4 times over course of four years. Playlist order import/export function would be useful. Other than that - I've been using it for years and will continue to. Simple, easy on your battery, functional, customizable, opens literally any file remotely looking like it has a sound. Hell, it even supports stream links.
Lightweight, easy to use and a solid amount of customization! This app has treated me well the last few years and is the only one I use exclusively. I have not gone back to test bluetooth pairing to see if it was an app issue or my old speaker because it's not a feature I was really in a position to use very often anyways. Fantastic app and highly recommended!
AIMP works as expected; a good replacement for the native music app that Google removed a while back. An odd quirk with the Android Auto screen for AIMP is that about 20% of the time, the album art displayed next to the song is wrong. I know it's the app that's at fault because I can switch between songs and the album art will be different and/or correct when it was previously wrong. Its like the app picks the art at random sometimes. This doesn't affect the music but it's weird.
Great music player with great features (that can be changed or turned off if you want!). I really love that I can exit/close the player instead of perpetually lingering in the background ready to toss a chorus at me at full blast the next time my phone finds a Bluetooth connection. I love the pseudo wave form view where I can visually jump to sections. Being able to see the breaks/chorus/drops is very useful for me. It's very responsive -- not some bloated thing. Very easy playlist manipulation
Takes a little to figure out the user interface, but isn't that difficult. As others have pointed out, it seems to have problems with cover art display. Really wish they'd have chosen a different logo as it looks like something is warning ⚠️ you of an issue or failure.
The app keeps auto playing when connected to Bluetooth soon as its connected or after taking calls each and every time, whether that's on a headset or in car. This is extremely inconvenient. Tried all options but still broke. The functions were OK otherwise, but this is a major flaw.. Deleting app.
Within 15 minutes of downloading this, I can already tell that this exactly what I was looking for: a no frills music player that will work in the background. I can specify the folder it plays from, so that I'm not seeing random audio files from God knows where among my music. Perfect! AIMP has me falling in love with my phone, in a good way! I'm glad it's free, but they could have got my money easy!
This is a great app indeed, but it's file/playlist manager is a complete separate program which is causing problem sometimes. Plus, the only thing this app missing is a LYRIC finder and reader. All in all I LOVE this app.
The app for some reason has stopped playing music altogether. The timer doesn't move and audio isn't heard. However on other apps I have no problem playing music. Edit 2: now the playlist randomly stops playing without finishing the entire list.
I have used this app for years and liked it very much. But after last update the way you add new songs now it's just ridiculous. Seriously really ridiculous. It is so unintuitive and as you can see I usually don't write any kind of reviews. Just don't have a time but this one got to me and actually wrote it.
When exiting the app and removing it from the background, the app still runs as usual. So, have to press the exit button first, in order to "completely exit the application". Please fix it, so that when you exit the application, it doesn't run in the background anymore. Thank you.
After google play was removed, I researched a few players to find a good replacement. This one seemed the best for me and after having used it for nearly a year, I gotta say I love it. It has all the features I needed without any restrictions.
This is my fav music player app on Windows and so happy to find it on Android. No ads, well designed, a FANTASTIC equaliser...the best I have heard! Even has playback speed control. My only hope is that Pitch control will also come. Thank you so much for this awesome app! The author has literally just given this great app to us for nothing. Really thank you!
On a Huawei mate 20x(4G), Huawei have put their equaliser settings behind a paywall - an online sub to their music service so for non-subscribers, no equaliser settings for local play. Found AIMP to be an excellent alternative, no ads, no online sub required. It even restores loudness. Am also using the Sony XB700 wireless earphones so it's perfect.
This music app is just too great... Just one thing to make this app be a perfect one. Add a tag editor to it to rename, add cover art, search for lyrics and paste it to the music lyrics space... Thank you for this app
Best music player by far, there's no ads, the UI is clean and it supports internet radio The only thing I like to request is an option to hide folder names inside the playlists, that would give a cleaner playlist look while actually ordered outside of the player
Best player out there! I had only one issue with it. Somehow after I restarted the app once, it made all my songs favorites. Other than that, best music player out there, even on pc
Very good for playing offline local music. Beautiful, functional, capable, with good sound. The UI looks and feels serious, nice, very good, although it can certainly improve. You can only make playlists from the disk's directory structure, no music library, that can be a problem for some. It supports skins. It gets updates once in a while. It is smooth to use. I am yet to see any ads or disruptive features. This is my usual music player on my Android smartphone. I would certainly recommend it.
I gave up on Amazon Music app because it stopped playing nice with MP3 files I did not purchase on Amazon. AIMP is great. It's simple to use and looks nice. You can specify exactly where your music is stored rather than having it "guess" and pickup ringtones, audible content etc. The playlist controls are a bit different and take some time to grok.
A question to the developers but I believe nobody's going to give a damn to answer: why not allow us to order the musics on our playlists by simply dragging and dropping them on the order we want? This is the best player I have tried to date but that's a feature that I miss thoroughly and I have been looking for a replacement that allows me to do just that: order my own music as I see fit.
Lovely. I regret not having known this application before. I love every single feature, and the interface. Very well thought and coded. One small request for which I don't know if it's technically feasible: I saw the remote application for a computer, though I would like the same but for an Android tablet where I also installed AIMP, since it's from my tablet that I play music. Using my phone as a remote control would be super nice! Other than that, excellent job.
