Keep track of your flight information including flight schedule, boarding time, and airport gate changes. Share your travel itinerary with friends and family via email. Opt in to receive push notifications about flight delays and more.
When you’re at the airport you can keep an eye on First Class and Standby wait lists. You can change your plans to get on an earlier or later flight. We will also send you a notification, telling you if there’s an earlier flight available for you once you've arrived at the airport.
We also offer calendar integration for smartphones, so that you can add your travel information to your calendar. You can track your Mileage Plan™ balance and then use those miles towards flights you can buy on the app, including Award travel.

This app is where I solely book all my flight travel. The app has provided important information when flights have changed, been cancelled, on time etc.. I depend on the app to check in, claim baggage, order food, and to communicate with an Alaska representative directly. The app is easy to navigate and convenient.
It's a nice looking app full of options, but I just think there should be a check in button right where your trip shows, so you wouldn't have to go to another menu and retype the airport and reservation code, it's should be right there at the trip itself.
Quit updating flights. Useless. Update. Uninstalled app and reinstalled; after sign in it showed 6 trips instead of 2 like it had when I complained. Now to see if it will update in the future.
Good app, but customer service not so. I had book a departure at 8 am. Went to check in with the app and my flight changed to a 4:20 am departure, but actual departure was 5 am. So I arrived at the airport 2 hours early but no one was at the counter even TSA didn't open up for passengers until 4. Would have been nice to get an email with the change to flight and actual check in times.
In general, I like this app. One thing that is annoying is that it is basically impossible to evaluate paying for a flight versus using airline miles. Once you've selected one, I have not found a way to go back and look at the other option. This should be a simple toggle button, but it's not.
I'm a frequent flyer (Gold 75k) and have been using the Alaska app for years. This latest major release of is in my opinion significantly less intuitive than the previous version. Well I have used it numerous times, Its difficult to remember where to find the various things that I need like check in, order food and especially navigatung to The boardroom verification. I can eventually get there, but I am not a big fan of the current layout.
Outstanding ability to book, view flight ststus/changes, make changes, get a seat, change a seat and check in - all from the comfort of your easy-chair. Only down side - quite minor actually - is the frequency of the apps failure to "clear the flight line" resulting in having to re-input the trip details etc. Other than that, it performs adequately.
My daughter and i both use the app quite a bit. It seems to work well for me, but hers crashes a LOT! Force-stopping the app, rebooting the phone, clearing the cache... nothing makes it work correctly. It has happened several times and seems to correspond to her flight that is happening that day - when the app is crucially needed! It is incredibly frustrating!!!
This app has several usability issues that scare you and frustrate you when you are trying to confirm you are checked in. It's not like you have another option for an app. They really should hire a decent UXer to help fix some of the design issues.
Alaska Airlines' staff, everyone, consistently sets a positive tone and environment throughout the experience, on and off the plane. This makes all the difference and along with high standards and trust they earned, is why I am a huge fan!
I have flown a variety of airlines and Alaska is superior. I fly frequently enough that I am MVP Gold. Alaska treats their passengers well and their MVPs like they are royalty. Unfortunately, I have to fly other airlines at times, but I prefer Alaska when at all possible. The app is easy to use and ads are non-intrusive.
This app is very easy to use. I've used it to research flights, book trips, check in, order meals, boarding passes and get help when problems arise.
Alaska's app, like everything else Alaska, is second-best at everything. Over Sox years ago I pointed out how they need to notify you when your bag is loaded, like other airline apps do. They still have refused to put this vital feature in their app.
Reservations booked with my Alaska Airlines credit card is supposed to let me get 1 free checked bag for up to 5 passengers. This app does not allow that. It also won't let you check in car seats.
Adding wheelchair request and special services does not work. Nothing happens when you click the link/buttons on it. App still not at parity with website.
I find the app useless at the moment ! Check-In doesn't work, flight status doesn't update, no boarding pass. Needs improvement.
Update of 2019 review on 22-Apr-2022: android app on Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra crashes when trying to check in for a flight, no evident workaround. Was able to use laptop browser but that's not going to work when I am ready for my return trip.
When you try to book a flight with this app, it sends you to a web browser. If your default browser is Firefox, you keep getting a message that says it doesn't think you're a human and tells you to put your finger on the screen for a few seconds. After you do that, it goes straight back to the "You're not a human" screen. What's the point of having an airline app if you can't even book a flight with it???

Easy to fly and everyone is very helpful and nice. Easy checkin and can change your seat if avalible on line. Seats could have more padding. Long flights hurt your back and what you sit on.
This airline has become my least favorite. Many reasons...but mainly because seems travelers are not valued as once were. Their process makes one feel like a piece of baggage.

Always arrive at destination early and have to wait for the other plane to leave the gate, so we sit on the run way. What's the point of getting there early and then have to wait. Otherwise Alaska is great.
I'm not a fan of flying. Alaska Airlines makes it less stressful & their app is part of that. Very user friendly. I will only ever fly with AA. Best one out there.
Gets the job done in sn easy, organized, logical way. No muss, no fuss, strictly functional. More apps should be like this.
I have always had positive experiences when traveling with Alaska! The staff are phenomenal! My preferred airline when I need to fly.
Has always worked when using for reservations, boarding passes and even booking cars and hotels. Sometimes it doesn't let me pre-order food and wish there was an option in the app to buy a first class seat if I decide to upgrade from the main cabin. Otherwise, it is a great app that works well on my Samsung Galaxy 10e
