It does not have any personalisation options, such as the possibility to show folders when opened, rather than the most recent images. In addition, I wish I could choose not to have previews for folders. I cannot even select an order of the folders. Moving pictures from one to another takes ages, just like deleting them. Last but not least, no actions can be taken over folders.

Deleted Images! I used to like this app until moments ago. Lately, it was showing the images as corrupted file or pixelated, or didn't show them at all. I thought it was because I had very low memory on my phone. I got rid of most of the things and opened up space. But this app still had the problem. There's an option in Navigation menu which is "find and fix problems". When you press it, a message pops up that says "your photos and videos will not be affected by this process". So I proceeded. After it finished processing I realized that it deleted all of my screenshot images! Not just that, the 'pictures' folder is gone entirely! It's good that I manually back up my files, folder by folder (I also dont trust cloud services for the same reasons). But this is a huge issue. Deleting media files instead of fixing them... Somebody should look into it.

Hi, I love the app. its beauty to me is in its simplicity. But there is only one thing missing for it to be the perfect gallery app. Which is when It opens, it shows all media that you have on your phone which is sometimes embarrassing when you are trying to show some pics to someone. And they end up seeing things they shouldn't. I wish it could be changed so that it opens up - by choice - on the folders first instead of the whole gallery. And if only it could have a pin lock. Thank you.

Although the appearance looks better the problem now is that the option of viewing "Devices" has disappeared. This means that you cannot connect to a local computer and download photos. This for me is a major negative. The other thing is that even though I have automatic updating disabled, Album seems to have a mind of its own and updates as soon as I revert back to the "old" Album... Very annoying...!!! So in my mind definitely NOT an improvement!

The App contains plethora of bugs. E.g. When you select multiple photos for deleting, it doesn't tell you how many you selected when you press delete, so, you can select all by mistake and delete everything with no way of knowing or ability to stop it. It doesn't go to a recycle bin either, so, its permanent. Playing videos in the background is buggy, it stops completely on its own for no reason. I have been using this App for many years and I simply do not recommend it to anyone.

The latest update did nothing but make the app unusable. The app takes forever to open, if it opens at all, and more often than not tells me that there is nothing in my collection. It worked fine before, but now is pretty worthless. It must be a software problem because there is plenty of memory, both internal and on the SD card. I had to install a different album app, which works perfectly, in order to see my photos. Unacceptable.

It'd be nice if there was an option to stop the slideshow at the top, because it gets a little annoying sometimes. Also, sometimes when I want to delete images it won't work the first time, so I'll press delete again and it'll come up with an error however it turns out it did actually delete it. Weird! Overall it does the job though :)

Just a really basic app for viewing media in Sony phones. Below average in design, operation, and features, there are far better gallery apps in the store. This app is riddled with bugs such as not updating the media library efficiently, forcing me to often use the "find and fix problems" feature. About the only good thing in this app is the top banner that displays a random image or video, but even this can't be configured to your liking. Basically, this app is not worth installing separately.

I don't understand why it takes forever for all the pictures to pop up at the same time. it's very slow to pop up the pictures and take forever to download each pixel. Also you can't even categorize or make your own album title. I think this is a simple album app, it should be more cuztomozable. Hope you will fix this Sony.

The header slideshow was a feature I really liked, being able to swipe through and get a variety of pictures and videos from any time period. Now when you swipe through manually it only shows you the things from that time stamp onwards. There's no option to show you the randomised slideshow like before. Please put an option in to change it between timestamp related and randomised

This app is just perfect, you do not have more or less features than what you need. It is not an app that manages so much of your stuff where you lose control, you are the one with control, it is simple yet affective. There is a lot of things about this program that I love, and use daily. But I need it on Sony Xperia 1 iii, where did this program go? This application has many features that you need and nothing more, you don't get overloaded with features you do not need, and you do not having any missing features that you need. Everything is there and perfectly balanced, it's a dream app for an album program.

Mar 22,2019. I wait for a week to fixed the problem. But no response. I want to know that the developers are used this app for daily? It's have many bugs. Please downgraded to previous versions asap. ------ Last update (Mar 14,2019), an organizing folder is inconvenience. Can't make a new folder while moving a pictures. When moving pictures, I love the old version that have a "+" button for creat new folder and "move" for confirm to moving pictures.

This app is broken. Don't update. if it came pre-installed, go to apps, Album, disable. This will restore the factory version, which works. Then enable again. Make sure your Google play settings has auto update apps turned off. This update keeps saying no items in collection (ie no photos!). Also, it's slow as molasses, and crashes. The menu items were mixed up so that you keep hitting hide instead of move to. Once you hide something, it won't show any photos or albums and you have to close app

Absolutely hate this app and the fact that I cannot get rid of it! I want to install another app that allows me to make folders!! not just double the pictures and see all content in the main screen. If I need to see a specific picture I must search for it among all of my pictures. It's horrible. Let me uninstall it!

Worked more or less ok until today... when playing videos the menu always jumped to the start of the album instead of staying in the same date, which made watching videos and looking for them, very annoying. But today, out of the blue with no update or change done, I have a totaly different callendar - going from the year 0002 (around the time when Jesus was a child) to the year 8200 (way in the future) This is just ridiculous. I didn't change anything on the phone or the app that would mess this... The app is just very baddly managed and it's now useless... Please address these issues and correct them

When i save pictures from social media to my phone (Sony Experia L1) it doesn't show in my album. I used the find and fix bugs function, cleared the data under storage and restarted my phone but it still doesn't show. I thought maybe it needs an update but the app is up to date. I went through settings and app permissions nothing changes. Please assist.

I HATE the update. Photos now only appear on my screen one at a time in large form as opposed to before when I could view multiple photos at once. It takes FOREVER TO VIEW AND REFERENCE MY PHOTOS WITH THIS FORMAT. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK. (PLEASE NOTE: If this is not an update issue but rather a Settings issue, please let me know how I can change the setting back.)

Modern interface, simple but useful. I would really appreciate it if I could limit the photos and images shown to my "camera folder" only, instead of showing a mix of camera photos and all the rest of images I have in work-related or other stuff folders. Kind of "exclude folder" feature if you like. Thanks!

So, I never had an issue with the Album app that was preloaded on to my Xperia 1, but now I do. For some reason the edit button from the user interface has disappeared from the list of buttons, usually there is the share button, then the star button (to add a picture to your favorites list), and then there would be a edit button next after the ⭐ favorites button and the last button is a trash can to delete selected files. What could be the issue? Was it an update or some system defect?

This app is linked to my Google Photos so that's useful. That means if I were to accidentally delete my photos from Album, I have them saved on Google Photos. Album has easy access to your photos and videos, that's what I love about it! Edit: So, I got a new phone and my album did not sync with Google Photos. Luckily Google Photos saved my photos, but not Album. It's mostly used as a display app than a saving photos one...

This app was amazing but since the last two updates all my photos have had the dates altered!! Apparently some photos I've taken in the year 2200! It's not just some photos it's every one since 2016... I can change this manually but I have thousands of photographs and don't have time to go through every single one!! Please fix.

organising isn't easier! moving photos between folders is now slower! probably because it now loads the destination folder once transfer is complete?!?! and makes it longer to get back to my android photo folder to then continue to select more images to transfer. Update has also caused album to display "no content available" once returning to originating folder, multiple times. app auto shut down if required to do a bit too many transfers

Has been fine until now but I accidentally accepted a request by it to store all my pictures on a cloud system and now is horrible. I don't have fast enough broadband to upload anything at home and I don't have enough data provision anywhere to do this without it costing me a fortune. It won't let me cancel the option and if I block it by turning off storage permissions it keeps trying and each day it overrides my choice, switches on the permissions and starts uploading again!

This app is wonderful. But with the recent update you've made a blunder. Please fix the issue with wallpapers. It doesn't adjust as before and there's a box in the middle and I don't know how can any picture fit into such a square box! I hope it will be fixed soon.... Thank You.

Edit: Does not read exif data correctly so files are in wrong order. Files checked and exif data whows correct dates. Do Not But Sony Xperia products in 2019 as software quality has gone for a Burton. Original review: Very slow to load pictures, doesn't update when new pictures enter the phone memory .Tries to sell an Amazon subscription. I'm not enjoying Xperia products anymore, the software and UI experience has gone downhill .
