The actual assistance is great. My issue is the inaccuracy of the addresses. I attempted to put in my location address but it kept wanting to change it from south to north and even to completely different addresses entirely. That is 100% not ok. It wastes the rescuer's time and the user's time. I had to put in an address close to me instead of my actual location.
The app is worthless. Like others have said, it states that it has moved and wants to take you to the website. If you don't know your member number and call the 800 number, it tells you to use the app, which doesn't work. When you finally do get someone to talk to (hair pulling experience) their accent makes it very difficult to communicate. I used this service once several years ago with the app and everything went great. Tried to use it a few weeks ago and I will now be canceling my service.
Oh my goodness, this is a Huge No. All I can tell anyone considering signing up for Allstate Motor Club for roadside assistance, DON'T DO IT. App is useless, just like the service, if you call no service, service. Took me over a week and multiple calls to multiple #'s , waiting on hold for over 45 mins just to cancel and not get refunded for a service i never used and had less than 3 weeks. Stay clear of Allstate Motor Club and go with the tried and true AAA.
the app is stuck in the track your rescue section of the app. I got help last week and i must have just closed the app without changing to the next page. I'm trying to use it now for help again and it wont let me cancel but there isn't an option to continue. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and it just took me back to the same page.
Wish I could give it zero stars, not sure why it's even in the app store, since it's obsolete. Making matters worse, when you call Allstate Motor Club, the message says to download and use this app. But when you do, you get a message saying Allstate doesn't use this anymore, and wants to connect you to a website. Waste of my precious time.
App wastes time. When I called Allstate, voice prompt told me that using the app would save 10 minutes. So I hung up and entered my vehicle information on the app. 10 minutes later, I got a call and had to give them the same information. Instead of saving time, I wasted 10 minutes. Don't bother with this useless app!
worked well for me, but it would be great to include a note when ordering any services. this can help not waste any time and be in communication from the beginning. the app overestimated the time it would take for help to get here, or perhaps the worker did not use the app properly. im any case, the service was great and i resolved my issue.
First of all, the credentials for logging into the website are not the same credentials for logging into the app! To get your app credentials (do all these steps from the app, not the website), go to the login screen on the app then click the 'forgot username' link. then do forgot password to get your app creds. If you dont get a username try registering from app. Password is up to 10 characters with at least 1 cap and at least 1 number. No special chars. Terrible support
ZERO STARS! Downloaded and installed. Been a member since 1983. Could NOT login and apparently they have NO SUCH ACCOUNT or USER ID. Can't get much worse than that. THEN I read the reviews of those "lucky" enough to log in... apparently, I stand corrected: it CAN get worse. Utterly USELESS app.
horrible app. always stuck on the last service call, usually have to uninstall and reinstall to use again but even that doesn't work anymore and is just stuck on previous help. this app has potential someone just needs to do some work with it and make it run smoothly
Doesn't even work. Sends me to a website. Allstates apps have been pretty glitchy and hard to use. I can tell they working on it, but this is insurance I have to pay for. I need to be able to pay my bill and access my card when needed. Thank you for your time.
Terrible. Wanted to cancel and it took calling in to their service. They don't hardly speak any english, they harass you about why you are cancelling, they transferred me 3 times and each time I had to give my information again and again to the same person because they can't understand me. All that time on the phone and I managed to finally get them to cancel it only for them to tell me that I also have to sign a paper that they will mail me in 7-10 days. Ridiculous. Don't sign up for this.
Only been with Allstate Motor club a few months. Had to request a tow today using app. App shows 50 to 70 minutes for service. App never updated status and does not show a timeline, not even time when service was requested. After 1 hour and no status update I called. I was told it would be another 2 or 3 hours for tow and cost would be $30 over $250 benefit. Tow request was for 1.5 miles! I canceled service request and called local tow company with an estimate of $75 for tow. I will request reimbursement from Allstate as allowed by their policy. Weather was a fair weather weekday mid-morning.
Why in the world does the 800 number on the cards still go to a voice-mail that sends you to the app? And why is the app still in the Play Store? Installed the app just to have it send me to the website. What a ridiculous waste of time!
So the phone number tells you use the app, the app the tells you to use the website and the website wants your credit card details even if you already pay for roadside. I canceled the service. I won't pay for something I can't use. We will be switching insurance companies because this is shady!
ZERO. Didn't even open, first of all. Then I discover that actually it's obsolete, and if you call you get a text link to the web in order to initiate service. Why then does the initial phone message say to download the app? Why does the app exist?
I just updated things in my account. I opened the application which sat the Allstate Motor Club has moved to an internet address! So why doesnt your application already take you to the correct location???? You're the develope. Is this the best your group can come up with? Be glad you don't work for me! Who's in charge?
I tried twice to create an account. Both times, after setting up the accounts and then trying to sign in, it put up a message that my credentials were not recognized. This app is major JUNK.
Called on the phone for motor assist. The hold message said it would be quicker if I install the app. I installed and launched the app and it said to submit all requests on the website! I love it when companies can't get their story straight.
This app needs to be removed from anywhere it's currently available or recommended (including the automated message when you call Allstate) because, as another reviewer said, all it does is direct you to the website. Don't bother downloading it.
Downloaded got hijacked and state farms actually took 492 dollars out of my acct and i got no tow. Now my bank is going after the money. I used a credit card for another tow company 5 hours later bc none of their tow showed up even though they were texting you saying we are on site. It is a scam. The rep at my insurance is contacting the app and letting them know that i ended up in state farms and it doesnt work.
Horrible Experience App directs you to a website. Then if you call them, the call is directed to India. I canceled my plan after 5 minutes of signing up. If I did need emergency service, calling India is not logical. Avoid this app! It should be removed as its not an app!
In the past this app has been very helpful, but I need to update my account, and the app does not have that option I need to update my account and I cannot reach anyone to do that. I had never before attempted to change payment info on the app..
App directs you to website. What's the point of app if you're not using it, but using the website? I was able to schedule tow, which went well. I gave 1 star because there's no point to app if you're redirected to website? Am I right?
This is the worst service to get. They take your money and never send the tow company out. Then they cancel the membership after they take your money out your account. They lie about their membership information. They tell you they have unlimited service. They don't have unlimited. If you use the service more then 15 times they will cancel your membership after they take the money out of your account. I paid for the unlimited package. I been with them for 5 years. Don't waste your money.
Worthless! Won't accept my login credentials. Can't login no matter what I try. No phone number or email provided to get help. I think I'll dump this "club". Last time I needed assistance, it was no where near anything that had an address. Couldn't automatically transmit my gps coordinates LIKE THE WHOLE WORLD DOES IN THIS CENTURY.
I have had Allstate Road Service for 15+ years, this app is one of the best things they have come up with! Super fast service, no calls back & forth for updates as in the past, what a relief!
Failed me twice this summer. 20 years subscription, now leaving. Used to have people in the state responding. Now robots. F off. Good bye. Really disappointed in allstate here. Straight money for nothing scheme. Beyond terrible.
Frozen... stuck on the last time I used it months ago, won't allow me to make a new request. uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times to no avail. Trash!
I am unable to enter site. Informs me to clear cache and try again. I followed instruction but a notice says that the site has a bug and will be contacted as soon as the developer fixes the problem. Starting off with negative and not being able to access makes me seem generous rating as a three when I've accomplished nothing. Hopefully the "bug" gets squashed! Lol
