Holy ads batman!! I don't mind ads when streaming. I love being able to watch on demand. But my god... I log in there's an ad. I start watching a show, there's an ad. 5 times throughout the show... ad. The best one... 3 minutes of ads when I start a show, then, it rewinds 30 seconds and just so happens to put me at the spot in the show where an ad is, so now I've watched 6 minutes of ads and haven't seen a second of the show yet. Don't try and watch something if you have a quick break.

Forces you to sit through 3 minutes of commercials even when the app glitches and has to be restarted. Watch for a minute, glitches again, restart app, hit resume to continue watching, another 3 minutes of commercials. Over and over and over... it takes 2 hours to get through a one hour show. Extremely annoying!

Terrible app, let's you watch ten minutes of the show, plays ten commercials with ridiculous loading times, then craps out and gives an error message, try to watch the show again, have to watch the commercials again, gives another error message. Truly making an hour long program take 2 hours to watch

Omg, AMC makes great TV but streaming their shows is horrible. I understand the ads; I'm often watching something that just aired a few days ago so I don't expect to get fewer commercials than had I watched it on TV. But when watching it's expected that at least once or twice each episode when it gets to an ad, the ad doesn't load. So then I have to stop, restart the episode, try to skip forward (because of course it doesn't save where you were), rewatch some more ads, and maybe get to finish.

Streams won't load when trying to Chromecast. Even if you try and work around this by mirroring your screen it shows only black on the TV. It seems like they're going out of their way to make the cast function useless. I'd almost consider giving it 2 stars because I can still watch on my phone, but I feel like it doesn't deserve that if they can't make a feature work that every other streaming app I've ever used is able to perform without issue.

Not sure what happened but not a single thing will play correctly. Crashes after first commercial. Shows that are an hour long only play the first 30 minutes or less. The same thing happens on the roku as well. Even your website struggles and I have to restart. It used to be good but now it's just a waste of time to even try.

Constantly freezes. Have to stop casting, close app, open app, recast, then hope to start near the time it froze up. Dire need of an update.

Worst app ever. Always glitching, always buffering. Always messes up in the middle of commercials so after you reload everything you get to watch all the commercials again.

Please fix!!!! AMC has a lot of great shows but this has to be the WORST app ever! The app on my smart TV only plays commercials & the actual show is scrambled. Come on now! Update: Still having multiple issues with this app. I don't know why AMC doesn't do anything to fix these problems... Horrible, glitchy app! Doesn't work properly on my cellphone, smart tv or any other devices. There are multiple complaints about this app but AMC does nothing for us paying customers. Please fix/update!!!!!

Constantly crashing and buffering. Have to Uninstall, reinstall, continually re-log in to my provider, and hope the app works this time. I don't understand why such a popular network has such a terrible app. Update. Two years later and the app still is terrible and usually won't go past the loading home screen making everything unwatchable.

There is no search function and only a menu of a list of featured items and a tab for movies but not TV shows which makes browsing virtually impossible to do in any kind of organized manner.

No content available in Puerto Rico. Very strange policy since Apple TV Plus, Netflix, HULU, VUDU, Showtime, Disney Plus, Prime video, Peacock, and many many others are available here. F+ to AMC.

With this app you get 5 minutes of a program and 2 minutes 30ish seconds of commercials. The volume of the commercials is ridiculously higher than the program, so it's a constant play with the volume level type of experience. On the plus side, via a Roku device, the streaming quality is good. A viewer needs to decide if the pro(s) outweigh the cons. Not for me.

It works, but once you get it started do not do anything else. If paused and resumed later it will move your position in time. Its doesn't remember exactly where you left off. Answering a text and going back to the app has it hang for a long time. Best to just restart at that point. 15 second skip can only be pressed once. Wait for it to load. Press again. It would be nice to be able to stack presses like on other apps. Trying to watch s10e16 of TWD and it keeps playing E1 of Beyond. Boo!

This thing freezes multiple times everytime I try to watch a show. It constantly logs me out. It really makes watching shows frustrating, not enjoyable. If you have to stop or rewind 15 seconds, there's a good chance it will freeze and if you do get it working again after several minutes you will have to sit through the commercials again. I cant get over how a cable company that requires cable access can have such a terrible media ap.

App really needs an update! I hope the IT people see this because there are so many other media streaming apps out there that are years ahead of AMC. The biggest issue I have is that I cannot play any downloaded shows. The app keeps crashing when I select downloads and if I try to play a show that has been downloaded it gives an error message and I have to delete the download to play. The streaming/buffering from this app is also pretty poor quality and I have super fast internet.

This is the worst app to stream ever created. When you Chromecast it, sometimes the show will keep playing on your phone while it plays on your tv. It also forgets where you were or if you finished something. So when you try and skip around to find out where you were, you have to watch a minute of ads each time. This is the shittiest app I've ever used.

Doesnt work on any platform. Gets a 'network error' everytime it tries to play a commercial then it reloads the commercial or wont move forward. This happens across devices and using different networks, when other programs work fine on the same devices and networks. Extremely frustrating! It takes almost an hour to watch a 25 minute episode, IF you can even get to the end.

Update May 19 2021 Goddamn this app is trash. Sound goes out of sync every few minutes. CC doesn't cast to tv. A shame that we are forced to use this garbage for spectacular programming. This app must have cost tens of dollars to develop. AMC did not get their money's worth. Wow. Spectacularly bad app. Difficult to navigate playback time. You'll probably get an ad even if you just want to go 10 sec back...if you get lucky enough to click exactly where you want. I pay for cable!!

Just terrible. too many ads, glitches, you name it. Also really easy to accidentally touch another video on the screen (which 9 out of 10 times means you have to start the one you were originally watching over AND go through ALL THE ADS if you want to skip back to where you left off (if you even can.) I see they offer no ads with subscription or whatever, but why would I EVER pay for it when the regular one is such a piece of absolute garbage?! Maybe it is better on computer vs phone?
