Hi, it looks like you read the reviews. Thanks for that. Your App is a 5 Star app. It is. But with your last revision suddenly the camera rotates to landscape and there is no way to stop it even though my phone is locked in portrait. I passionately HATE landscape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is why I had to knock 2 stars off for your regressive update. Please at least allow the user to choose Portrait or not.

I don't care about alarms or emails for any advanced features, I have all that security with other programs. I needed something that I could quickly open up the camera and see what's happening making this the perfect companion app for my amcrest camera. I can quickly open the app and see what's going on without having to wait until the action is over before the app loads.

Worked great for a long time, now in the last month or so just stopped working. Very frustrating as cameras are used for safety and keep telling me they can't connect yet I can connect them fine on a computer.

Not compatible with Android 10. App can no longer see WiFi connection for local cameras. Can still watch the featured cameras (if you have any interest in those!) So there's clearly a problem with the app. When it was working (on Android 9) this app is much better than Amcrest's own software.

after seven or eight downloads from different sites none of them were what I was looking for. this app happened to be perfect and I got connected right away kudos to the Developers. if you guys were to update with the option for motion sensitivity that would be great. 5 *s left for the awesome app.

Unfortunately, despite many good reviews. It seems that the app flat out does not work for some people including myself. It can't add cameras because it can't detect that you are indeed connected to a WIFI network. The fact that Owlr hasn't responded to the reviews saying this, as they have with other reviews, tells me they don't know what's going on.

The developers of OWLR Amcrest and other makes and models deserve an AMAZING pat on the back. It's a super quick and easy setup, BUT with super-simple handholding and the user interface is awesome. This is a much nicer app than the manufacturer gave. The damn thing just works with little fuss involved. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your hard work on the apps and the continued code updates!

It may have "Amcrest" in the name but it sure won't connect to that brand. It saw that I had 3 of those and it even correctly identified their type and address, but it will not connect to any of them. A half-dozen other apps connect instantly but this "official" one won't.

If you're having problems you're doing something wrong. I'm not tech savvy at all. Very simple instructions. Very simple install. It basically did all the work for me. Great app!!!!!! Install it!!!!

The app launches quickly and it gives fast access to viewing my cameras live. I mainly use it for that feature. It does not allow for viewing events recorded on the camera's sd card.

Is anyone else having issues with the app crashing on android P? App runs fine until I try to connect to a camera and then it crashes. I think it might have something to do with Google removing the ANR dialogue box and android thinking the app froze while loading the stream in the foreground?

I read on here somewhere that if access your camera on your home network it doesn't use internet data, but mine has and I have only accessed it through my home router from home. Is this true? If so how did I us so much data? I did try setup and allow anywhere access but I never did use access from other places, so is that setting why it used so much? Or why has it done this? And the control doesn't always behave as necessary, could be better.

The only Amcrest app worth owning. Unlike all of the official Amcrest apps on iOS/Android, this one actually works, is intuitive, and most importantly it loads the live view FAST. That feature is very important when I need to view what's going on immediately.

Works okay if you only have one camera. Adding more than one simple replaces the prior camera. I've tried all the OWLR apps and all are similarly affected.

super slick app. a snap to set up. 1st time using ip cams and after port fwd is setup correctly this app works really well. would be cool to be able to play back recorded footage from the cams onboarding SDK card.

Worked for years without requiring gps coordinates, now it requires them to function after an update. I am willing to switch to a whole different (Hardware/software) ecosystem over this. Bad move for Amcrest.

Works with my Amcrest and older Foscam cameras as well. Took a while to get the right settings for external access to work but all is well.

Could be better with better controll with finctions but all in all its ok. All these IP cameras are a pain sometimes. Update: This app has been dependable and for the most part this app and the Amcrest camera works very well. So 4 stars I give after using this app.

Great alternative to Amcrest app. Much simpler UI and set-up quick and efficient.

It was easy for it to detect my cameras. Set up was fast. Has clear videos.

Does not work with Android 10. App does not see the wifi connection.

Had issues with password but it online now just have figure out motion sensors

App doesn't work, keeps telling me to connect to WiFi even though I'm already connected to WiFi.

Finds cameras on WiFi Network but can't change ports and wont connect. Am I doing something wrong?

Does its job but, yea, the interface is clunky, seems laggy but that could be the camera.

Complete trash. Says no internet connection when there is a full wifi connection.

It works! I finally can view my cameras while I'm away from home. Easy setup too.

Auto detection saves a lot of time. Works with Foscam IP cameras. Recommend.
