Generally Good, but take a screenshot of your boarding pass just in case. Sometimes it randomly logs you out of the app, and sometimes it freezes. This doesn't happen often, but has occurred during travel before, so a screenshot of the boarding pass is a good failsafe. Generally, though, very convenient.

Some unreliable services and pretty common things missing. Train status is often wrong and different from what is reported at the train station. Notifications for delays don't work over text and there is no push notifications. Takes a lot of steps to book common trips that should be saved to a profile. Better than booking at a window, but this isn't 2000, either.

Won't let me pay and keeps deleting my review. I've tried all methods of paying including buying a prepaid gift card. Because the app and website won't let me pay, i always get an error. I am forced to wait on hold and then the agents charge more than the app. I have tried on multiple apple and android devices including PC and Mac nothing works. I think it is all a scam to charge extra as this has been going on for 2 months. Not very disability friendly.

I installed it primarily for updates and info about schedule changes, but it doesn't provide any. Their developer needs to take a good look at any major airline's app. Beyond that,but has extremely limited functionality and does not provide necessary options. I end up going to the webpage. The chat refuses to load.

This app is usually functional, but every once in awhile it will lose a ticket if I modify it. Then I have to rummage around my email inbox in front of the conductor until I can find the PDF version of the ticket. Also, Amtrak is very late to admit when its trains are running late, compounding it. Also, also, Amtrak keeps upping ticket costs and change fees. But the trains themselves are easily the best way to travel in the US -- they're clean, smooth, (usually) fast, and have great staff

It is not straight forward and user friendly. Too many steps to get to what you are looking for then what you are looking for may or may not come up. Sometimes you have to problem solve the app to get the relevant information that should be straight forward to get. Also if train is delayed, the app finally shows an update 20-30 min AFTER the expected arrival time! Standard non changing info is easily available. Train status, station office hours & accomodations vary and are inaccurate.

It's an ok app. It's really hard to book when you have flexible days. You have to start an entire new search if you want to play around with the dates. Also currently having issues booking a train. I submit my payment and it shows a pop up over a confirmation page that my request did not go through and to try again. Sooo I'm really confused. Otherwise it's a somewhat useful app but I think I prefer the desktop site more.

The app is decent. I've been using it smoothly for a while, but I wasn't able to undo any changes I made to a trip due to unforeseen circumstances. Wasted much money, pointless..

I can't schedule a train. It tells me there are no trains in route during the times I've selected but offers no suggestions on times that WOULD work. So it is basically a guessing game that isn't worth my time. Also, when I do find a time that works for a round trip, I only see the route there. Nothing about the route back.

Not at all useful. You enter your departure and arrival destinations- and you get a message saying no trains run between the two. No suggestions, no advice... just a message saying basically: find another mode of travel. What a waste...

The latest update has proven much smoother and more reliable than previous versions. Extremely happy with the update and bug fixes! This app continues to be my favorite and most reliable travel app. Very solid!

Can't log into account through app, reservations need to be added manually. Not worth using, too unreliable. Old: Works okay, but navigation is confusing wrt how the back button works compared to other apps. Also regularly gives cryptic warnings

Works way better than before. Still, trip protection pop up slows one down, and payments page is a bit glitchy (vouchers interferes). Infinately better than the Amtrak website, which is really buggy as of May 22.

Doesn't allow for changing cities of your modifying a reservation. Also doesn't update if train is canceled or delayed. Both happened to me last week. Also can't add reservations into your profile if you weren't logged into Rewards when you booked it.

I have use this app for the last 8 years and this literally is the first time I've had an issue with it. Get through the whole booking process but at checkout, I constantly get an error msg. The msg states they are having an error on their end. Then I called Amtrak to book the ticket and ended up on hold for 1.5 hours. Like fix the error on the app and the desktop version. This is how the company will lose customers to other cheaper and easily accessible services. Fix asap!

Super glitchy, kept signing me out when I was trying to get to the rewards page. Couldn't book a ticket with my rewards. This app has always been horrible. It's only good for your ticket qr code.

Its better to make reservation over phone after you do some basic searching, you get more options and often better prices. Also, the app glitches and occasionally just loses your reservation/ticket, so make sure you hold on to your reservation number. Just re-entering the reservation number and last name makes the reservation reappear, along with your ticket, but it's definitely a little nerve wracking to have your ticket disappear when your supposed to be leaving for the train.

Difficulties navigating through the pages. Became frustrated and didn't want to proceed. Need fixing ASAP, so CUSTOMER'S can access needed information to make reservations and the like.

Still, after years of notifying Amtrak, cannot get a disabled discount while booking with both of my children. Firstly, it's an atrocious policy that a disabled person can't get their applicable discount offered by Amtrak while traveling with more than one child, but it's an even greater slap in the face that I must call to get the discount they *will* let me have while able-bodied people can simply use an app. It's discriminatory and nobody at Amtrak cares enough to fix it.

I've used the app for a few years now to book trips and have never had a problem. Easy to use. Can pull your ticket up right from the app or your email, no need to print.

I want to be able to access the schedule for the train I am on without having downloaded and look somewhere else. To be able to access my account and see what kind of credits or points I have I don't see how to do that. I want to be able to cancel a connecting bus on a trip that I had to cancel and doesn't seem the name able to do that from the app either. What is a car sharing feature?

Info states no service between many points when there obviously is service. The maps indicate service to Canada but the app will not book a reservation. Also there is a problem if I want to use my vouchers.

I see no way to either print the e-ticket for a trip or save it as a pdf. Showing this is easier and more dependable than running the app as you get on the train.

Horrifying that Amtrak our national train system has such a complete lead user non-friendly app it is very difficult to sign in it is very difficult to buy ticket it is impossible to find your reservation once you're signed in and find your train ticket CT rail system works 10 times better than this who is in charge of this app and how do they have a job
