I have always not enjoyed the process of getting a new phone. The transfer of apps, files, installation of settings and formating of all your apps into organized folders that are categorized into similar groups of apps with the same purpose or industry. Transferring my data, files, apps and settings to the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra while keeping the layout, organization and the remaining operational changes that existed on the old Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. This whole Process took less than 1m
I am not good with electronics but it was easy to follow directions. My problem was my internet and old phone battery too old to charge without cutting off so glad to do in sections. Not to mention the old phone was way too full and things had to be deleted.
It worked perfectly. I had trouble getting even the Samsung transfer app to work. This app did the entire job first try and in less than 3 minutes. You win my vote!
This tool is cool for that phone switch up! One thing that would make this app unbelievably awesome is to make it to where it transfers your apps and app data too... Anyway, excellent and very easy to use!!!
Smart switch didn't move my saved text messages from my old phone. Some type of unexplained error, but the att app worked great
Easy to use very fast and helpful without it there's no telling how long it would take to transfer every little thing from your old phone to the new one app gets an A+ in my opinion I highly recommend to everyone.
Good app, worked well transferring from Samsung Galaxy S10, to CAT S62 Pro(Videos will take longer to transfer, I suggest you leave that for overnight)
Tried lots of switch apps from ZTE to Motorola. All failed until this one cross platform. Perfection
It was great to have all my data transfered. It took longer than ist said it would. Time was 'about' how much was left not actual time. Have something else to do while you wait.
Taylor Muñoz went above and beyond. He stayed with throughout the entire process of installing my home internet and all my phones as well. Very Patient. He made sure I was good with everything before he left. Had everything up and running. Thank you Taylor.
Good except not clear on how to scan the qr code. Not everyone is a technology expert.
Super easy to use,, very detailed directions and information.
Awesome app. Super easy to transfer everything from your old phone to your new phone.
The app was able to transfer sms and MMS messages. However sometimes but not always, the images were separated from their corresponding text into separate messages. This was not a faithful copy of the original message. Much better than the Google App which was not able to transfer any sms or MMS messages.
AT&T Mobile Transfer is a very convenient way to transfer messages, media, and other stuff when switching phones. My only complaint is that it took longer than I expected. First it scanned the phones, then it matched the files, then it transferred. I had 40k messages, 3600 pictures, and 200 videos. It took about 2.5 - 3 hrs total. I'd still recommend this app though!
Idk why you have to download the app again in order to transfer, when it's already on your phone. It would be nice if it could transfer in the background so you can use your phone if need need because; Come on! we all know that it takes a minute, the type of minute when a girl states she'll "Be done getting ready in a minute."....(enter jeopardy theme music here). Other than having to download the app again on both phones and it being slow with the transfer, the app itself is decent. oi!
I really like that app exist, it does make it easier to set up a new Android phone. However, I don't like that it didn't transfer over everything and when it transferred over the pictures they weren't in the date order that they were taken. It transferred over most of my info but then it missed some that includes SMS messages, parts of the call log, pictures, some apps.
Saved my life. My other phone had a half broken screen and the remaining half was very bad and broken up, but I was able to manipulate it just enough to be able to see the QR code in the screen where you can close or see all recent apps. I was able to use the small QR code on the screen showing this program was running on the good half of my screen and BOOM mobile transfer took care of everything else. Now all of my files are not stuck on the screen-less phone forever. Thank you! Brilliant.
I was able to successfully transfer all of my photos and videos from my iPhone to my Samsung. Two small problems: the app said I had 0 contacts when I had 70, but after doing the transfer, all of my contacts were on my new phone with their contact photos and everything. The other problem is that the photos did not transfer in order, so they are all shuffled up now. Not too big of an ordeal, thank you.
It does exactly what it says it would do. I transferred videos, pictures and documents from one phone to another but not the SMS text messages or contacts but that was not a big deal as Google accounts are better at storing contact details for new phone set ups. I moved over 50 Gb of files. It said it would take 7.5 hours but it completed in about 2 hours which is great. The steps are super easy to follow with just one QR code and the rest is automated & seamless. I will use this again next time
This was the easiest and swiftest transfer I've ever achieved! The Apps were very thorough and understandable. The adapters were included with my new device and everything came together like a Song. I wasn't able to connect to wi-fit with the new device, so utilized the On the Go cable and attachments. So total time lapse was a Sweet 2minutes 34 seconds approximately. Actually would of been faster had I edited my messages etc before the exchange. Bravo folks great assistance, thank you all.
Used Mobile Transfer to copy from my Galaxy S7 to my new (to me) S9. It transferred a lot of things, but my text messages are all one-sided conversations and the date stamps on my photos and files are now set to today. There is no record of my part of any conversation, and sorting on date is no longer useful when looking for something in my files or photos. For my part I'd say this is totally unacceptable, and would rate this app with zero stars if I could. Don't waste your time with this.
Very helpful app, but make sure you have both devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network before you do your transfer (just in case you have 2 separate speeds as an option which run off the same router like I do i.e. 2.4g and 5g. Mine also just so happen to to have to same name, so you have to actually look at the gig. specification before you realize that you're connected to 2 different networks. LOL)
Works as intended. Please remove the ads. Confusing for the elderly.
So fast and easy! Great app for a 65 year old like me who wants to keep up with technology
Did exactly what I wanted it to. It was honestly faster than I thought. I could even transfer over my settings!
Very fast... because it doesn't transfer everything. Image albums are copied to an arcane folder almost impossible to fjnd; images not in a folder don't get transferred at all; contact transfer is horrid, because (1) many contacts are not transferred at all, and (2) some contacts have reverted to a previous data version. Try Samsung smart transfer instead! This app has become an embarrassment to AT&T.
I am VERY disappointed with the AT&T Mobile Transfer program. I wish it was as simple as mirroring your old phone (data and settings) to the new phone. The simple fact is, that whatever account you're logged into (whether it's Gmail, Samsung sync, etc) is the data that MIGHT transfer to the new phone. The ease of use seems simple enough, but do not blindly trust that all of your data has transfered! Check what transfered because you may need to use Wi-Fi Direct to transfer your data
Very efficient and it did not take long to run. I had a problem staying connected to the internet, however that was most likely from my end. I am not tech savvy, to say the least, however when the internet would lose connection, I had no trouble in getting re-connected and starting the transfer process again. The app is very straightforward and I would highly recommend it.
