Audio Bible

I love this app very much; compared to others with robotic voice, the voice is original and dramatic. The sound at the background is beautiful, which makes it so real!. But, what I have against this app is the fact that it's described as "offline" but, it's actually not. It keeps playing and goes to the next chapter when it's online but, stops when it's offline. Even though I love and enjoy listening to it very much, I have to let it go cos it's not working for me at all... it's too expensive!

What's wrong with this app? An audible ad pops up when I try to click on a different version. When I "x out" the ad, it just goes back to the previous version. I tried waiting like 3 minutes before closing out the ad because I thought it was one of those types of ads, and it did the same thing. Why can't I choose a different version than the default ESV? I want NKJV dramatized. Edit: I seems to be working now that I rated it...

This is a wonderful app. You can even change the voice. I chose the New King James Version (dramatized) which reads the Bible aloud like a story/movie with music, sound FX and all. I started at Genesis and let it play from chapter to chapter. BONUS...I haven't noticed a single ad! This is my go to Bible app for worship. I highly recommend.

I enjoy the app. Great voice. Only frustration it tends to keep playing after you've tried to stop it or the app has been closed. Also it continues playing when you open the app again from where it left off. I don't want that happening automatically. Maybe a settings options could give the user greater control and improve the experience. It's very annoying.

Good, But... I have a really fun time reading along, and listening the Bible. But for some reason it won't let me play the audio. The audio scale keeps going on and on. Maybe if there's a effective update to fix the scale. I don't want to delete this app and go to another audio Bible. This is the only version that I understand, and the only Bible that keeps me engaged. Please help!

A app I couldnt do without!! I use the KJV Dramatized version and it is amazing quality audio for free! Its a pretty rare find and its amazing that it's a free app honestly. I love it. It is a little hard to navigate until you figure it out.. a little quirky maybe if it's your first time changing the Bible Version or selecting chapters to play but the great audio quality makes up for that..believe me! I have it set not to save chapters cuz this uses storage on your phone. Love the app!

This is an awesome app! I can quickly and easily choose any book and chapter of the Bible that I feel led to hear (not confined to a schedule that takes time to re-plan), I can choose any of several translations (KJV, NIV, Holeman, many others), I can even set my morning alarm to wake me up to sctipture readings (just leave the app notification on). Sorting through the numerous options is simple, streamlined, intuitive and easy. I love it.

I would love to see the playback speed include modifiable pauses between verses, at normal narration speed. This would be better for memorization. Also, slightly slower speed would sound more natural than the slower speeds. E.g .85, .9, 9.5 please. This updated version has marvelous sound quality. With a good wi-fi signal the download time is not too long. May have to download books individually otherwise. Background harmonic is soothing without being noisy. Max McClean is a superb narrator.

This is the only usable free offline audio Bible app I've found, and I tried a number of them! In order to get Bluetooth to work I have to start playing another audio app (such as Spotify) but after stopping the other app this app continues playing over Bluetooth, so that's a good enough workaround for me. It also makes it easy to download books of the Bible as a bunch of audio files.

This is the only App I've EVER seen/tried that is perfect in every way. It's the Holy Bible beginning to end , non stop, no ads, no disruption, word for word as printed, clearly spoken with emotion to help us to understand the situation at hand throughout the Bible. I'm amazed. I LOVE IT!!! Thank you SO very much and God bless everyone.

The readers are clear enough and the stories are so real that the listener can have a feeling or experience of the scenarios in the stories. It is also great that the next audio plays automatically so it doesn't need me to keep checking my phone but rather highly focus on the message I am receiving. I love it.

10/5/19.Great audio. Many versions. Can fine tune to different needs (times, favorites etc), need to explore though. Not the most intuitive but easy to use once you know what is available. 1/30/20. Audio is downloadable for offline use. This is a GREAT feature for me. Narrators pleasurable and distinct. Bookmarks & Favorite passage saves sometimes are deleted when I optimize phone. The phenomenon occurs on other programs too, believe it is an issue with my optimizer app than Audio Bible.

I prefer this audio Bible app over all of the others because of the choice of narrators, but it does not work well on my LG G30. Sometimes it will not move to the next chapter, and often it gets stuck on one chapter and will not load the next book. There is no way I have found to clear the app other than going to settings or restarting my phone.

I absolutely love this app. Now I believe the makers of this app are Christians, so what I'd like to suggest, i for us users to have a feature where we can see the total time of each book. This way we can get a clearer view of the duration of the entire book summed up individually. And please add more versions like the NLT etc. Thank you guys so much in advance for adding this useful, innovative, and helpful feature. May God bless you all! I really love the app in that I love the voice of the narrator. But I hate that you cannot close the app. I turned it off and as soon as I closed my phone it starts backup again. And then I turned it off again and swipe the app to close the app completely and it still plays. I swipe down to see all of my apps that are open and that app is not open yet it is still playing. You can't get it to stop playing unless you completely reboot the phone . That needs to be fixed.

I really enjoy this app, but there's always room for improvement. I really enjoy all of the many different versions of Bibles they keep, it would be nice if they had a random shuffle for versus in the form of a button and possibly written word you could follow with the audio for easier use at church. If I saw some changes like that I would definitely right this 5 stars.

The best audio Bible app I've found. Simple interface. Tons of translations and a variety of narratives including a few full cast readings. The app is free with adds that are unintrusive or you can pay a mere $1.99 to remove them. This is a fantastic way to immerse yourself more in the Word and perhaps less in worldly podcasts. High recommend.

I loved this app before the last update. It was supposed to remember where you left off so you could save your place. It remembers, but it will no longer start at the beginning of each chapter. Now it starts a minute or more into the chapter or it sometimes skips chapters altogether. This was my go to bible app. I used it every day. I keep hoping it will get fixed but so far it has not. Very sad. Update: this app is back to being my favorite Bible app. Thank you

Excellent audio readers. Sufficient versions of the Bible. App has excellent features to utilize and I personally love the assistant with pronunciation of the biblical names. I would love to know the names of the readers. One such read sound as though it could be Alexander Scourby who is my favorite. I love the app

Everytime I want to copy the words and send them on to someone, I have found other apps don't have the copy feature. It is very convenient to select the chapters and they play. There is a feature, that helps you put a timer on the play start time.

Great for listening to the Bible when I don't have WiFi, or before bed when I turn airplane mode on. A bit glitchy in the past - when I've listened to a section before, it seems to store a memory and starts the reading halfway through the next time. Overall, not bad!
