Addicting game and much better than the original. But a huge problem is the issue with the blue maps and thank you notes. It's impossible to expand your bakery or complete tasks when the notes are never appearing and there's no other way of getting them. The same with the blue maps. They are both needed for so much yet the game doesn't give you more ways to get them.
Cute and fun, but crashes constantly. I really like playing the game, but it's frustrating how often it crashes. Literally any time I enter the editing/buying section where you move your furniture around our buy new stuff, it crashes within seconds. I'm lucky if I get 5 to 10 before it crashes back to my home screen. Makes playing frustrating and will probably stop soon. Wish this didn't happen so I could give it a better score.
I'm just so disappointed in how they've changed this fun enjoyable app to nothing but a money grab. We can't even enjoy playing a game on our phone due how much money and time they've changed just to keep up with other apps. Highly disappointed. I played this game for 4 years and loved it. You have to flexibility and choice to expand the restaurant, decorate, add appliances when you want and need all without having to pay to do so. Now we have to pay for it or wait a certain time to do that.
All of the games like this seem to have disappeared in the last year or so, so now you're stuck with this if you want to play a restaurant game where you're not being timed when you serve customers. The character design is a little ugly, and so are some of the restaurant design options. It would also be more fun if you had a somewhat reliable way to get items you need to upgrade. Instead, you have to fill to go orders (and some take hours to complete), and then you only have a small chance to get items you need. Half the time they give out way too little cash instead.
It's a great game and I love it more than the first, however. I have had some issues. I've noticed some of my flooring will reset and go back to default and I'll need to buy the tiles again. And more annoyingly, I tried to open Jack's Dry Goods. And once it finished it was Michelle's Luxury Shop which I shouldn't have till later. The building was the right building for Dry Goods but it's like the coding got mixed up between Jack and Michelle. So now I can't get access to his items. Which I need.
It's fun at first, but it crashes all the time and you need to be willing to spend money if you want to play. I played until I was level 16 and only got ONE blueprint, which is essential to expanding and progressing in the game. No matter how fast and how many to go orders I filled, they just would not come up. It is also way too difficult to collect "thank you notes" when they only come around maybe a few times a day at random times. The original bakery story is much better!
It's good as far as cooking games go but It's buggy. When I go to exit it freezes my phone for at least 10 seconds. Most of the time though it messes up my phone where my home screen pic gets changed to the default black swiggles. I've had to reboot my phone every day since installation because it keeps freezing up during the game.
Very nice game overall but the bugs almost made me want to stop playing. I made a list so I hope the devs can somehow work them out. Thanks - Screen freezes when I either cancel an expansion of the cafe or I don't buy anything from the store - When buying decor, the item seems to be frozen sometimes or can't be interacted with. Sometimes there are also purchasing delays so I get multiple items when I only wanted one. - The supplies stores don't load correctly and purchasing is also bugged.
As a player obsessed with Bakery Story (the original version), this game tries too hard to make it complicated. Too much collecting items, ingredients, equipment, etc. that makes it very time-consuming. The design is also superfluous, too much frills and makes it heavy for places with bad internet connection. It's not worth it at all. Please play the original Bakery Story instead. What a failed sequel.
I used to really like playing this game but since I reached level 45 I haven't been able to advance past that level and it's been at least 5 months since that happened. Also there are no more challenges and I have all these keys from the secret baker challenges that I can't do anything with and a bunch of coins I can't buy anything but ingredients with. To the makers of the game add more levels and challenges. Please and Thank you!
5 Stars, all the way. I love the graphics and the storyline-esk of the game. I think my favorite part is definitely that you can get diamonds from playing other games and then you get can more coins by buying them with diamonds. Although, when I have no wifi and I'm just using data, the game unlocks other ingredients when I'm not on that level (you cant buy them anyways) just pointing out that bug. Otherwise great game.
It just takes so long to actually make any progress without spending money. It's fun until you realize you have to save up 1.5M to unlock a new recipe. Without buying any coins or anything, you have to save up money for weeks at a time to even afford something. It takes weeks to have enough resources to upgrade storage or stock. If you actually want a game to progress in fairly quickly, don't get this, it is a waste of time. It takes too long for it to be worth it.
The game is fun but it's hard to upgrade the building or inventory because its hard to get the right peices in order to do that. Its like the game is designed to make you spend money or wait long periods of time until the game puts out prizes. But the prizes you recieved aren't the ones you need to upgrade certain things. Then you run out of inventory for baking because you have material that you worked for but cant be used. I do not want to spend money on a virtual game.
Used to play Bakery Story 1 a few years back and enjoyed the game. Found that it lags and glitches with my new phone so I downloaded Bakery Story 2. What a disappointment in comparison. For starters you're always having to wait for something to refresh. Getting the "thank you" cards to expand your inventory and the shops is impossible. I've clicked on 7 but only received 1. At level 10 and I can't cook anything because I run out of storage (at 20 item) because the to-go order rewards use storage
This game is fun but it has so many bugs and glitches in it from not being maintained in over 5 years... Its a waste of time to change flooring or wall paper because it glitches anyways and messes up what you've done. You can attempt to collect thank you notes but once you go to use them they are no longer there. I would suggest finding something better to do with your time..
Fun game, although have had problems. It's much too easy to accidentally spend gems on dumb things, like speeding up baking, which wouldn't be as much of an issue if we could earn free ones. Also, when I was trying to upgrade my pantry up to 40, had 5 shelves, 2 thank notes and a basket, but only kept getting coin, even though there was room. Tried deleting the basket, didn't work. Deleted the 5 shelves and got a thank you note, but just started getting coin again. Had to buy shelf. Very annoyed
The worst experience game. Disappointing. Greedy and Pay-to-Win. Only looks attractive at first because of its beautiful 3D graphics. Do you know the real issue of this game? It has NO OPTION to reset or delete your game and start a NEW GAME. Even if you delete the game itself, your progress is still there. Its like its permanent progress in their server and when you Install it again, it is still there. How annoying. Why this game has no separate saved data? Really hate it.
Love this game, I played Bakery Story the original, this is a lot better and smoother running. Wish you could expand and upgrade some items quicker than what it does. Does send a lot of Push notifications, which can get a bit annoying some times.
It's difficult to get items when it takes so much time to replace needed ingredients. It also takes way too much time to expand. I shouldn't have to spend money at every turn. I love the game however y'all really should revamp how much time it takes to grow the bakery and speed up visiting neighbors
There are times when I accidentally click the one where I can use the diamonds to speed up the process. I consider it annoying because I keep wanting to keep all my diamonds to save up for the art deco stuff. Can't you update the game to have an option that like says, "Are you sure you want to use 3 diamonds?". It would surely become a better game.
At first I loved the game and found it entertaining. Then I realized that although you keep completing tasks from the 'Secret Baking Society' you keep getting silver keys which are useless. You RARELY get a key you can use to learn new recipes. Additionally, after investing money because "yes" I've fallen for buying jewels, they drop off mysteriously. One morning I opened the game and was missing over 100. It's happened to me 2x! After I run out out of jewels I plan on un-installing the game.
this would get a high rating for me but loses out on two critical points. You sync with fb but it doesn't let you connect with friends, we all get this error message. the second thing is it doesn't sync your progress so if you sign in on a different device, you start from scratch. these are elementary functions that are expected from any game of this caliber so I am quite disappointed.
I played this game, but it's obvious that Bakery Story is much better than the second version. The designs of the characters are crude (but it looks fine when their icon shows up while talking), and this game is missing most of the old furniture items. The way the characters eat is more detailed, but it looks a little off. It's like they tried to make Bakery Story more cute and appealing for kids, but it kinda turned out worse.
Overall the game is great. However, recently the game started having some issues. It refuses to load, then a message pops up saying this game requires Internet access even though my device is connected to WiFi. But the makers of the game haven't updated the game itself since 2016. It is 2020. I think it's high time an update is made to the game. A concerned fan who would love to continue playing this game.
I've played this game for a few years. Just today I couldn't even open the game. Lately it hasn't leveled up from 45 in months. No more new recipes, flooring, decor or stoves. Gold keys are rarely given now which are important to completing cooking tasks. Became very stagnant, just cook away with no new rewards. I messaged to see if there was a glitch & they closed my case with an automated reply. I have bought gems which saddens me to have invested in this game. Uninstalling.
Poor gameplay. You can't earn gems doing anything, only at the very beginning of the game. No neighbors. No way to store appliances to make room for other things. Majority of the items to buy are bought with gems. The graphics are great and the controls are easy. This game hasn't been updated in a few years. If it was and fixed the problems everyone seems to have, this game would be top grossing for sure.
I was so excited to find that there is now a bakery story 2! I loved Bakery Story 1!! The graphics are much better now and love what you have added. Sadly I have installed your Home Design Makeover game (it's in my to-do list) and have not been rewarded for playing it in my bakery and it seems to glitch when I leave from expanding. The camera won't move back to the restaurant so have to restart the game sometimes.
It's a pretty good game. Cool graphics and easy controls. Though, I'm not sure about the glitches (if that's the correct word) that would randomly appear. Like sometimes a costumer doesn't have anywhere to sit but there's actually an open table, or that a locked item would appear to be unlocked and allowed to buy. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm complaining too much, it's still a lovely game overall.
