Ballistic X

Like the App, but please post change log when you updated it. Are you fixing bugs or adding features? No one knows... Feature request is to be able to measure more than 1 group at a time. Have to currently export then re-import over and over to do this and it's a pain.

The good: it's easy to use and works with all target and ammo types. It gives you some excellent data The bad: the whole reason I bought this app was to easily and accurately calculate the mean radius of my groups, but it doesn't do that. The setting is there, but you can't activate it since it's not actually available yet. Another annoying thing is if you zoom in really far during selection you lose the ability to move the image or zoom out again since it blocks touches on the selection box.

I really like the app, but there is one major flaw. The app tells me that the image with my calculations on it has been exported successfully, but the image is nowhere to be found. The only way I can save my image to my phone is to share it with someone else, then save it from my messages. This would be a 5 star app if I could choose a destination folder to export my images to on my phone and it actually did expect them to that folder.

Overall good, but crashes right after saving file. It also has the apps name o. The label which I don't like. The interface is decent. Doing your reference measurements is a breeze. Placing your label is less intuitive until you notice the tiny label on the top left which you have to drag. Next you crop your final image (shouldn't this be done before attaching the label??) and it saves as a photo. However the program crashes right after saving.. But it did save the image.

Works ok. User interface is pretty good. There's no machine vision to autodetect the holes, so you'll have to do that manually. Also, group size is calculated as the bigger of your vertical extreme spread or horizontal extreme spread, so it's very sensitive to outliers ("flyers"). I don't see an option of x or y standard deviation so you'll have to manually exclude your "flyers."

The app works great for measuring shot groups but it's pretty limited. The options menu only changes the information in the overlay of the shot group and theres no options for help or changing functionality of the actual app. Like where and how the final product is exported for one. It will say "export successfull" but the export is nowhere to be found. Am i just supposed to take a screen shot?

When I purchased this app there were compatibility issues with Android 10 that were preventing me from being able to use it. Within a week's time the developer pushed out two new versions, which have addressed all of the problems I was having. It is now fully functional for me and I'm quite happy with it. My thanks to the developer for stepping up and resolving the issues quickly!

Waste of time and money! Export doesn't work at all, you'll waste a lot of time setting it all up setting the impact points and everything else only to find export doesn't work. The only real option is to export and share for some odd reason it seems able to share with Google drive or Dropbox but not your own devices. It's really a waste of time effort and money you can do better off with a pair of calipers in a pencil.

Currently not working in pixel 3. Was able to see a photo when taken directly from the camera, but the could not export even though it said the export was successful. Could not use any photos from storage. Update: was able to use a photo from storage and export it successfully to the ballistic x folder in Google photos!! UI is still a little clunky when saving, but the rest of the UI is very intuitive and simple to use.

What a fantastic app! I've been looking for an app like this for a long time, and they did it! Works perfectly, with no issues. But the best thing of all is, the amazing customer service you get! Any issues or problems you might have, you can hit them up on Instagram & they'll respond right away, and help! They're also constantly updating the app, adding more & more features, by listening to customer feedback! Don't hesitate to get this app, the price is a steal for what you get!

Doesn't let you scroll close enough to the edge of the photo to use the edge of a paper target as reference size. Also can't mark impacts near edge of photo because photo snaps back to take up entire screen preventing center from aligning with impact near edge. Very poor - an $8 app should not have such an obvious flaw. Edit: Developer responded to review very quickly. I sent an email as requested and never received a response.

first use - unable to export - "url not returned when trying to export" can't find any help in settings. access to camera was granted. not impressed so far. deleted work, restarted app and it worked fine. bearing in mind the nature of the user - obsessive shooters - if this app were developed to have a database for the images and allow editing it would be sensational. thanks.

Update: New version fixes file issue for loading photos. App works well and is intuitive. Would love to see a feature to summarize a large set of shots from across different targets based on point of aim to allow for larger group analysis. Also would be cool to overlay target from different times/configurations/environment.

Lots of issues with the uiux. Overlay size is based on the initial inch markings. And there's no way to increase the overlay size without zooming in, making it so you cannot export and crop the image properly.

The app does what it's designed to do. It's simple enough to use and mostly self explanatory. UI is friendly. Anytime there are issues, the author is very responsive on social media and thru email. Usually updates to resolve any issues are available in very reasonable time. I use this app with Strelok Pro exclusively.

I'll give it fived stars when it can catalog the exports better. Currently, when you want to export the picture of your groups the app dumps it into the phones storage when it should offer to connect to cloud storage and give you an option to put it into a specific folder in the phone storage. I still recommend this app will just have to manually catalog my exports.

I had a problem with export but I emailed the developer and they responded within 15 minutes. Turned out I had to grant the app permission to write to storage. Quick fix and very quick support! App does exactly what it's supposed to!

Works OK, it has no recognition built in to detect bullet holes, metric mode does not work very well. Windage and elevation still reported in inches. Overall it works, but you have to redo the setup bits for every photo, rather than per target type

Handy little app once you figure out the functionality. Took me a bit to work out how the refrence size is marked which could be simpler and more intuitive. Adding a mean point of impact after you add you impacts would be an excellent addition.

This app is perfect for load development and range trips. A must have for any long range shooter. Have used similar pc based apps in the past but this one is far easier and faster to use.

Overall a good app. Having an issue just now when taking a photo with the app, the app minimises and won't photograph. After restarting the app it works for a few shots then minimises again.

i've easily saved the cost of this app in ammo 5 times over. sighting in a new optic is a breeze with the feedback from it. easy to use and adds great data for showing off your groups.
