Barclays US Savings

Crashes non-stop, even if I haven't opened the app in several days! I get notifications numerous times per day, randomly, saying that the app has crashed. I could be using Google Maps to navigate in my car, and a pop-up saying that Barclays has crashed will appear on top of the navigation, and I can't do anything until I reach with my hand and clear it. So frustrating!

Update: got a new phone and thought I'd download the App to see if it's gotten any better. On the brightside, I can log in now, but that's about all I can do. App features are so limited and it automatically closes when I try to initiate a transfer. So frustrating! Only use at this moment is checking your balance. 2/14/20 Cannot log in. "Continue" doesn't work or do anything

Barely functional. I downloaded this for the sole purpose of depositing checks and that functionality just doesn't work. Not only does the image stretch unnecessarily on my phone screen but none of the on-screen buttons work so you can't really do anything. On top of the many bugs, the UI is poorly designed; the userflow isn't intuitive. For a company as large as Barclays, you'd think they'd have money to invest in some user research and focus testing.

Dismal and sad! Hard to believe that a savings account bank cannot get a simple app correct. Yes, I agree with the other reviewers. The login process is a PITA, and further the app does not recognize the login information at all during sometimes. I use the internet based login (computer) and no problems, back to the app, and it does not work. Other days, the app work fine. In my honest opinion, I would not recommend this bank to someone looking for a high-interest savings account based on how glitchy their IT as a whole is. (The internet based login does not allow check deposit for me).

Can't log in. I put my login info in, but the "Submit" field always remains greyed out. I tried this app before without success, but figured since they were advertising it in an email, they must have fixed the issue. Nope. Note: the Barclays account itself gets five out of five! It's been great and easy to use. I don't feel a need to have an app for my emergency savings, and their mobile site works fine if I need to check something.

I have had numerous issues as of recent. The most recent is I cannot transfer money. Soon as I select my bank the app crashes and I get sent to home screen. Have to re open the app and no difference. This is an online savings app, there is no other place to transfer to and from your Barclay account except online. So this should be a priority to fix for your consumers. I'm alsonot happy how I joined few years ago and the Interest Rate was at 1.90% and steadily creeped down to .40%. Please advi

Will someone please fix the bugs already?! This has been going on for months. Crashes when I select my bank to transfer money, stretches the check image when I try to deposit a check. That's pretty much all anyone uses this app for and it doesn't even work! This app doesn't even support biometric login. If you're not fixing bugs and you're not making enhancements, what are you doing with this app!?

It works. You can deposit and transfer $$. Transfers take a while. There is a bug, for me, where if u set up your PIN and choose to sign in with it, after closing and reopen the app there is no key board or num pad to enter your PIN. None of my taping or swiping actions bring up an input function. I end up choosing the option to sign-in w username and pw. I'm just going to turn off signing in with a PIN.

I'm not sure what this app is trying to do so hard but it crashes non stop. At least 10 times a day I get a notification saying it's crashed. Why?! I'm not even using the app. It's not open and hasn't been in a very long time. But it still crashes constantly. Uninstalling this. I don't need access to my account this badly. No one does.

Just about the least functional app I've ever tried. "unable to complete request at this time" (or something) trying to log in for the first time. Using bitwarden for user/pass so it's not user error. Shocking that a financial institution could offer a hot mess like this - shouldn't even be in the playstore at all. Bad enough that I wouldn't trust the security of my credentials if I even could log in. I'll be closing account with Barclays as soon as I finish this review. What are they thinking?

I have 2 identical apps on my phone called "Barclays US" since I have a credit card and a savings account with Barclays.... If the systems are not connected and cant be due to costs, fine I get that! But at least change the freaking names of the apps so I know which one is which! Im tired of picking one to check my balance only to log in and see I'm looking at the wrong account!

Recent update broke pin code sign in (no keyboard is available to input your code). Also, my accounts all show a balance of $0.00 even though there's money in them. That makes mobile transfers impossible. If I look on desktop, it's all accurate. These issues break the app, otherwise I'd give it maybe 3 stars.

Seems fairly basic. A bunch of stuff you can't do that you can on the browser site. But overall ok. Very important. Add biometric login! This is the only financial app I have that does not utilize this wonderful feature.

No poin in having the app, it's just a glorified web page that you have to log into every time. No biometric auth, sessions time out fast. Your better off saving space on your phone and logging in from a browser.

Feels like every time they update the app it breaks something. The transfer function was broken for a while but that long ago. Now I can't log in at all. Pin screen doesn't work, and they don't have fingerprint access. Kind of a frustrating app for how simple it is.

This app is pretty broken. PIN based login doesn't show a keyboard to type a PIN so you always have to use the username and password option, which doesn't support password managers like LastPass so you have to manually type everything in every single time. Also no support for biometric login. Other than that, it works fine.

The app is half baked with some features that doesn't even work. This has been the case quite a while now so I don't think they really care about fixing it. The quick login doesn't even give the pop up keypad to type in the numbers. The UI and general feels so dated that even my local credit unions banks app looks light years ahead. Having to login into the website everytime to manage my account is a real pain and becoming justifiable enough to make me start looking elsewhere.

This app is useless, They want you to type in a security code that they text you but most times it never comes. I got it one time and it was 30 minutes after they said it was sent . I was very happy to see that i was going to be able to direct deposit from my phone but it dont work. Fix it or get rid of it.I will be uninstalling it and do it by transfer from my bank...Their app works.

Have been having savings account for years and still have to use the website to check the balances. App does not even work... **UPDATE** Just installed the new app to see if this has gotten any better. Putting in my loginid and password and there you go "We are currently unable to process your request" When will they fix the simplest thing.. login ??

Glitches... Not good, especially for a bank holding people's money.... For example -cannot use to transfer funds into Barclays Account as all attempts cause App crash. Problem from at 2020 still occurring in late Nov. 2021. Used to be able to do. My Jan 2022 update: Seems there's finally been something done to fix app crashing when requesting transfer from external account 🙂

External transfers no longer work in the app. 6 months and no progress - Maybe when folks start moving their money away because they cannot bank online in an app, they'll get a team to fix this. One star. . Update 2/28/22 - App transfers work now.

after having an acct with this company for 13 years, I paid the balance in full through this app. after that I was charged an additional 4.58 in interest which I was unaware of. this cost me 119.00 in late fees. they closed my acct. and hut my credit score for about 100 points. do not count on your balance being paid even if you pay it in full. I said in full. this company did not care to help resolve my issue. I would not recomend to anyone due to how I was treated 13 years later

Looks decent, but can't log in. App says it sent a text for extra security but I never got it. No resend button and I still didn't receive a text after logging in a second time. Text for the web login has worked for me in the last couple days not sure what the issue is in the app.

Error opening app for weeks after it had worked for many months. Error says data network is busy or unavailable. No other apps on my phone have this problem but Barclay's Customer Service says it is due to my ISP and Covid19 shutdown traffic. Same issue using Verizon network or Comcast network. Had me uninstall and clear browser cache, which I had done several times. When asked what happens when this inevitably didn't change anything, they said they would call back. No fix...no call back.

FIX THE BANK TRANSFER ON ANDROID! This app used to work fine, but for the last few months, it crashes every time I try to transfer money from my bank to Barclays. I have to use the desktop site for it. I guess they really don't want my money because they aren't fixing this bug after months of this problem. I have the latest version of both the app and android. I called customer service and was told I'm the first person to report this problem. They just aren't paying attention.

Installed new version on my new pixel 3a phone with Android 10. Can't set up quick access. Enabling passcode screen doesn't bring up keyboard. Also, there is a glitch in allowed format for phone number entry while in security screen, popping up is +1 (...), but allowed is area code plus seven digits format.

This is poorly developed application. It does really basic stuff and yet not functional. Login is hard. Can't use lastpass. It asks for pin but doesn't show keyboard to enter the pin. Savings account is online banking online and their online product is not functioning well!

Same as always... enter user name, "next", enter password, "done". nothing happens. Can't log in, can't click "continue... I hoped Barclays had fixed this, since I received an email to download it. Nope. Uninstalled, reassured that I did the right thing by pulling my money out of this incompetent side show.

70-80% of the time quick access code doesn't even work and still requires manually enter password again. Then what's the point having the quick access feature?!? Very simple functionality and can't even get it right.

The whole point of having this app is to have a quick and easy way to access my savings account and keep track of my balance. The problem is that this app does not update my balance, even when a new deposit is reflected in my recent transactions. It's annoying.
