What you need to know: It does work and in fact it will get your guitar in tune and allow you to focus on playing rather than tuning. As most professionals know the guitar cannot be completely in tune otherwise it will sound out when you move up the neck. I've invested a small fortune on tuner: clip-on, or standard tuners all prices and ranges. This is the first one that nailed it with the Equal Temperament feature. To be a good tuner you need the tuner to take several physical things that go on with the guitar and the strings and which make it necessary to put the guitar slightly out of tune to get a balanced sound all over the neck of the guitar. This tuner passed the test with flying colours. I've already upgrade to the full app so as to get rid of the adds and unlock all it's features. The cool thing is that you can see the actual pitch of the string and the target in Hz so it ensures you reach exactly the desired pitch. It also has the possibility to tune by listening to the sound of the strings played individually, which will make most people happy. However, I think it could be a problem when it comes to tuning in a noise environment. I've yet to try that feature. Not a problem as a solo guitar player. BEST MONEY I'VE SPENT ON A TUNER. Let's hope one day they can put this in to a clip-on tuner with noise cancellation. It would be more practical for me. I'd buy it without hesitation. I'm very excited about this app! Can't you tell? :) I fully recommend it whether you are a professional or a beginner, look no further, this is the only tuner you will need.
Simple and easy to use app. Settings are much simplified and I have been using to find the frequency and note of musical instruments and sounds of different objects. Just the adds coming in covering the whole page making difficult to navigate the app, but I suppose that's the whole point of selling ad free version! Can't app builder.earn from the ads itself ?
On start it shows adds and black screen afterward. I tried to start the app around 20 times, but only 2 time actually manage to pass the adds and load the tuner. So, is it good? If it loads, yes. It worked as intended. Interface is nice, so are the options. But the thing with not loading is real deal breaker for me.
The app is very accurate for tuning guitar. I so much love it. All along I have been struggling with learn of guitar because my guitar strings will always cut and get out of tune. When I learnt how to change the guitar strings, tuning the guitar was another issue that keep me from learning the for some years until I came across this app last six months. Since then my learning process have improved greatly. I can now play some of the songs I love in some scales. Thanks to the creator of this app.
it's a good turner ,for all kinds ,😊if if your tuning bye ear ,this is for you , 😍 it not for me ,I can hear that good to tune my guitar anymore ,I need something that I can look at and. hit my sting and it will me to tune up or down ,I love this tuner ,it not for me ,looking for something that can help me 🤩 thank you
As a musician of over 25 years, I Am very disappointed. I really had high hopes. I was looking forward to being able to tune to over than 440hz as well as open tuning, etc. But, you go to tune it sometimes, it will give you the wrong frequency (note). It'll say "C3" on the "B3," right after I just tuned it to "B!" VERY frustrating! So, uninstalled. Sorry. But, "Music is Life, literally." Science has proven that everything is Sound, Energy, Vibration, etc. Love and Light. A'ho Mitakuye Oyasin.
I really liked the baroque option on this tuner but then ads started to come up for the United Australia Party 🤮 I'll just tune down from my regular tuner from now on.
I wanted to find an app that would let me achieve any tuning, but more importantly I wanted to tune in 432hz pitch instead of 440hz- 440hz being what most people agree is "standard".... I tried so many tuning apps in search of this specific set of features. Best Tuner really is the best. The ads aren't too intrusive just a banner, the feature set is surprisingly in depth, and it has never frozen or crashed on my Galaxy S9. Good work, devs!
The biggest challenge of writing a tuner app isn't making it accurate. (That's just math.) It's making the meter behave in a usable way—responsive, but steady enough to see what the heck's going on. It's a tricky balance of qualities. This developer has done a great job on that, IMHO. I'm withholding a star only because it's annoying having to stare at an ad as a condition of tuning up, even when you're offline… I guess everyone has their own ideas of what good taste is, tho. 🙄
The app told me the incorrect note which made the string too tight and it snapped. The strings were just bought today. This was all my money. I don't have any way to replace this string because I'm so deep in debt and I can't play my guitar after years of not touching it. I'm so disheartened.
says ot free but this app is not really. you can use the basic tuner but if you wanna use another tone then you have to pay. But its ok, as far as tuning goes. it works.
Coolest app for my acoustics. I have a built in tuner & pre-amp for my a/e bass. But this delivers what it promises.
it's easy to use and will put you guitar into perfect tune.
Very interesting tuner. Easy to use. Can be used by most beginners.
Im an intermediant player, yet had no trouble in finding the resonent tone of each note I was trying to dial in. It must be the graffics because I had no problems getting in sync ( if you know what I mean ). Great job! I will recommend it. .. .. .. Rico
It works ok for me. Sometimes gets stuck on a note even when I play a different one. Recently started getting stuck in a playback mode automatically and I need to close out and reopen.
This is working beautifully. Clear, easy to use, and displays the Hz, to match the string pitch perfectly. The best tuner I've found, don't change it.
Terrible. I couldn't even get it to work because I got an ad every second. An ad literally covered the menu buttons so I couldn't even navigate through the first page of the app
Excellent. Clear layout. Just what I needed. Thanks very much.
this tuner works well, it can read some of the higher frequencies in the audio spectrum which some don't and shows you the frequency in HZ too. A useful tool for calibrating old synthesisers.
The first tuner I downloaded actually turned out to be a waste of time. I won't do this again. This is so useless to me and I'm an instrument player. This app picks up little noise and calls it pitch or note I can't even get a correct tune. Oh why did I waste my data 😞😖
I am disabled. This app has saved my ear, my patience, my joy in playing an instrument in tune. Thank you, so very much! The occupational hazard robbed my ear and much of my skills. This app gives me a fighting chance to play wonderful difficult pieces on a violin.
this app is off! it did not tune my 6th string on my acoustic guitar...
This is a great tuner for the price! It provides a guitar player with so many more alternate tunings than I thought were possible. I'm recommending this guitar tuner app to all of my guitar playing friends.
It's so very simple to use and BETTER than any tuner I ever bought. I'm serious, download it!! Makes old strings sound good again. I think It might be the best working app I've ever used for anything. It does what is supposed to do.... it works! It impressed me enough to write my only review ever about an app. Thanks for making this one. Fred Shave
Would have been 5 stars but it doesn't have a wider variety of tunings compared to the Fender App.
Very convenient to have a tuner on my phone. Works well. I could use it for a gig if I had to. However, I'd rather use my Korg Blackout for a real gig.
I sing contrabass/ Oktavist range and do subharmonics for octave zero. This is the only app that can "hear" below B0. I just rumbled out an A0-G#0-G0 so it does work well in a quiet environment. This app tells me I can go lower than an 88-key piano. I knew I could! Just a matter of qualifying it with the note and frequency: 24.5 Hz !!!!
I just downloaded it a few minutes ago, already impressed. The ads aren't as obnoxious as most free apps. The accuracy is stunning. The display is very stable, unlike the other app I just got rid of. I play the dobro in both open G and open D tuning. I'll probably never use my cheesy headstock tuner again. Will probably upgrade to the ad-free version. Nice work!
