Bible

Has a free-translated Bible. The digital Bible is faster in looking up passages on this app compared to a physical book. I also like being able to quickly switch to other translations for difficult passages. For improvement, the app could include a full Biblical Commentary and it also could have more on Christian meditation. (Ex: the book "Spiritual Exercises" by St. Ignatius I hear is a good resource for Christian meditation). Most if not all of the app is completely free.

Lately, for about 1 month now that the video is not playing properly, not downloading. Missed this good teaching. I'd already updated this apps in my phone. *Im only giving it 3 stars until it's fixed* I've been using this app for a few years and I love it, but lately it's been having too many technical issues. 1) the app doesn't send a reminder anymore for my devotionals nor the verse of the day. It will only send right after I open the app and it's way past the time that I have scheduled. 2) my devotional plans will either disappear or duplicates. 3) the audio still plays after I'm done reading and exit the app. Please fix these issues.

5/6/22 For some reason, the player has stopped working. It worked earlier this morning, I finished one plan and added the next one chronologically, and now neither of the 2 different plans I use will play. Update: yes, I lost my account with all the previous plans I had done for 2-3 yrs, that I did refer to. It's just not that hard to send a link to reset a password, every other app & site does it.

i love this app. but some stuff is difficult to find. it is easy reading once i find what i am looking for. there is nothing wrong with this app. there are no adds which is awesome and allows me to become even closer to God because there are no interruptions with learning. love the fact that there are multiple plans for each thing searched. there is a childrens learning area for families to study together. great app! if i could give it a 10-star rating i would! I've had this app for many years. For the past few months, this app's pictures won't load- even if you make your own, certain parts of the app won't even show, and my app font and made up colors for highlights work on and off. I have brand new internet, and it does this with data and other people's wifi as well. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and now the app won't even let me sign in. It keeps saying, "error 503". They keep updating for "bug fixes", but nothing is fixed- and I'm not the only 1.

This app is just great. I can bookmark, copy and check out Bible verses on the run. The daily Bible verses pictures are beautiful and I can easily compare Bible versions. Plus the availability of Audio Bible, different materials and reading plans makes it more convenient. I deleted all the numerous Bible apps I had to keep just this. Over 4 years of use now and no regrets!

The STREAKS are not helpful... I try to really read my Bible everyday. I love this app and recommend it to many of my friends. I love the new "discover" videos, the daily stories and everything. But, there are times that I forget... I'm trying very hard, but when I lose my streaks it makes me feel awful. Admittedly there are times, when I have a busy day, I just open it for my streak and close it. At least have an option to just hide this "feature"... :'<

This app provides the perfect pace and there is something for EVERYONE! When I'm thinking of something that I want to focus on or change, I can specifically search for a Bible message (reading plan) tailored to my needs. If the daily message strikes an interest, they offer plans to go with the message to expand your studies. I am so pleased and happy. Definitely some changes since I started the app years ago and a great change! I look forward to reading daily. You can even read with friends!

Great app but a bit fickle with the daily plans, particularly with the last part of the scheduel with the plan, I couldn't get mine to play the last part, instead marked it as complete. Also the ads are kinda bad timing when they appear. Other than that, still great and would still recommend this. It actually reads to you.

What in the world is going on!? I've used this app forever and never have I had so many force closures or skipping audio. Not only is it incredibly frustrating to have constant interruptions to my bible study, it's disappointing when you consider that other apps on Google Play pale in comparison to the functionality and content offered by this platform. Must fix ASAP.

This is the best Bible App ever. Best social media substitute. The "Discover" option has all one needs and it caters for everyone. The "Streaks" are the best they have helped me improve my daily reading habit especially when I get too busy. The audio, a great feature for extremely busy days. I have loved reading my Bible even before the internet, but the badges add a bit of fun to it, I wish they would go beyond the 1000 though.😊 Then y'all added podcasts🤩 The content here is just amazing.😍

Comments previously written stand true today. Easy to choose translation of your choice; always available when your cell phone/tablet/computer are working; choices for devotionals and the ability to share/comment with friends are excellent. Only uncertainty is when inviting friends--are they only if you are on Facebook? My "picture" is same as FB and I didn't select it. Would prefer NO Facebook connection whatsoever.

This App is amazing! However, the update that happened to the audio was not good AT ALL! The new voices were great, but the music attached to it was frustratingly distracting. I felt like I was in an MRI machine and my head was going to explode. If I could suggest...the new voices are a good change.. but if you can't change the music maybe give an option to turn the music off or an option to select which voice to hear. For people who are audio learners like me your audio is my fav part.

I love the app and I've had it since Dec. 2017. I've learned a lot because of its ease of use. Lately I've noticed a change while perusing through the Books and chapters - it's like the app can't keep up and there's this spinning circle that seems to show a disconnected network (there's nothing wrong with my network & nothing has changed with it). This forces me to close out the app and restart - it's very annoying, and I hope that the developers will look into it and fix any bugs. Thank you.

I like this app except for 2 things; once I download a version that is not the end. I usually have to download it multiple times which for me defeats the purpose. Secondly it has been hanging so much that I failed to even use it. Had to reinstall it instead of there being an option to update. I, however love the plans, versions, voice, highlights, notes and other features.

This has been a great app and my goto for years! Unfortunately, recently the app has had many glitches, particularly with the video on the verse if the day. The video may open but it stops running, the video teaching will not open at all, or the video will audio will start and then stop. Hopefully this can be fixed. This feature has been such a blessing over the years.

It has really been very helpful. Sometimes I'm led to take a particular plan and boom! It is just what I needed. I also love the access to many different bible versions. If there's something I would love them to improve on it is giving more chance to your streaks, it shouldn't be all wiped away when one miss a day because it might not be intentional, chances should be given like after 3 times or more. The wiping of all the streaks can be discouraging sometimes 😁

I really like all of the various features, they make the app so fun. Not only does it have a variety of bibles in different languages. It also has daily reflection, DBV, and plans! The only thing that makes it hard for me is that we can't select specific words. Only verses can be selected and this makes it hard if I want to highlight only some words or find the definition of a word.

When listening to the audio version of the bible, versions cannot be switched on command. I can be listening to one version and switch to another... the text will change, but audio from previous version will continue. I have to reboot the app after switching versions. That's unfortunate. It only happens within a plan, though. Also, sometimes the audio will just stop, without warning. It happens quite often, actually. Listening to 90 Day Whole bible plan from NLT.

I really like almost everything about this app. I love the daily devotionals and stories from mentors around the world. I also really love that there are so many bible versions to choose from. There is even a separate kids version of the app where the verses are turned into stories and made easily digestible for young minds. The only thing that would make this app better, is if more of the versions were audible. Other than that. It's great!

I've been using this app to read the Bible on my mobile devices for years. It's been a wonderful tool to access scripture when on the go, especially during my morning commute. It even helped me "read" through the whole Bible (ESV/KJV/NIV audio). I also love how many Bible versions you can access. That said, I'm not a fan of the new design and the videos that are pushed in your face now at the top. I find them distracting to my daily devotional time and wish there was an option to remove them.

I really like this app. But sometimes it crashes and have errors along the way. Like if I have a plan reading with someone it doesn't appear anymore and sometimes I cannot accept it via app not unless I log in on the chrome or firefox. I also cannot accept friend request as there is always an error each time. I have reported this and someone sent me basic troubleshooting steps but it did not really work. It's a bit sad. overall the app is great if only they will fix the errors.
