Bundle News

Sadly lost in user experience. I mainly use the widget. The widget started to turn black for many seconds while refreshing every time I go back to read another article. Very annoying because it makes quick swiping trough the news impossible.

Very good app. It includes good sources but the number needs to be increased. Even though, the fact that there is a simplefied version for newspapers like NYT is very good and makes it easier to read. Also, I would really like to see Economist on that list.

Using the widget normally every story i click send me to fast.co and is subscription only. So i removed it from my list and refreshed but still keep sending up there. So basically can't use the app. Despite having so many sources it only shows me like 2

Great app overall. It works smoothly on my phone, it's fast and reliable. So functionality wise, it works really well BUT when it comes to looks, it's obvious that it's missing a modern/material design. The app doesn't look very appealing with stuff like cards that are not elevated at all to give it effects like shadows etc. It's also too 'squared out and that makes it look like it's stuck in 2014. It needs a design overhaul. It's almost 2019 and a lot of apps look beautiful. This one should receive some design attention too.

I don't really see the point of this app. it seems to be nothing more than an aggregator of news article LINKS with very limited functionality and customisation. For example, there is no offline reading and every article that you click results in a pause while the Web page of the media outlet concerned loads. You can toggle a switch and get a "reader" type view but you must do this for EVERY article that you select. Secondly, neither the app nor the widget allows you to mark articles as "read".

Works as advertised, works fast, no pop-ups, decent UI, doesn't require a separate account, doesn't try to push its political view, lets you pick your own sources and has plenty of source options (at least for international mode), doesn't require suspicious permissions. One of the best if not the best in its category. Easily 4 stars for me.

This is the app I've been looking for, no nonsense with bundles and bundles of news sources to choose from. I can filter out the trash biased news that is slammed in my face all the time and the ads seem not to be too excessive. Thanks for a very slick and well designed app. Well worth checking out. If the ads stay tolerable, this will be my go-to app for news reading.

I just can't get the widget to work properly within my launcher. It hangs on the loading screen most of the time and requires me to move and then replace to function. Going to continue to tinker with it before uninstalling. As far as news widgets go, this is the most pleasing on the eyes and offers great customization options. I just wish it worked :/

Nice aggregator, but the widget is a little buggy. Every click of the nav button opens the program window instead of scrolling through articles. EDIT: As of 3/27, widget problem persists. I just open the app, but definitely don't use it as much. Separate thing: I selected NYT and WAPO the content store, but they both want subscriptions. I dont want to pay each separately. I'd like to pay once to bundle and get access to both. The paid service would be worth a lot more than $25/yr then.

It has a great intention to provide us a great experience browsing through the news, however: 1- In a case when you are reading an article, then you close the app; subsequently when you get into app again and press to back button to reach the news feed the app simply closes instead?! It is really an exhausting problem. 2- Up on the feed, there is a questionnaire-type ad, which has an x button to close that does not work?! I mean, if you are going to put ads everywhere, do it properly...

The floating notifications doesn't redirect me to app. App is not opening from notifications at all. I have to open app and manually check it out notifications page in order to read content. This BUG still exists almost a year. If you don't willing to fix that then I can simply uninstall the app. It's simple to fix i think. I can't be hard. We just need working notifications. Edit: There is no such a thing Settings - Send Comment option in the setting page. Please don't give us wrong infos.

Can't login with Google!!! I use it on my tablet, where I'm logged in with my Google account, but on my phone when I click to log in with Google, it redirects me to log in with my Huawei account.

Edit: Fantastically speedy response from developers and update issues were fixed quicker than I could have imagined. Back in love with the app again! Thanks. I love the app but only my 'news' feed is updating at the moment. All other feeds haven't updated for the past 4 days. I restarted my phone and reinstalled the app. Nothing. So disappointed.

In the past there was an option reading mode. so the background and font were being adjusted. by sliding to left or right in this mode i was able to read next news. now it is not possible. this may be a bug or other reason. in general I really like this app. my other feedback is this app is so much battery hungary. it quickly drains my battery. I dont understand why this lite app can have so much energy consumption. please add a function that in my bundle list i can check the thickbox only two.

Seems heavily canted towards UK and AUS. Having learned a few things that interest me, I now get multiple copies of the same relatively few articles.

I've had this installed for a year plus. using an ASUS tablet and all other apps work well, this app keeps crashing, probably crashes about 50% of the time. in comparison I also use Flipboard and it works consistently (I have no relationship what so ever to Flipboard for this might seem line an advertisement). seriously Bundle you need to improve the most basic feature - and that feature is is simply have a functioning app :(

*Update* I gave another star, because the developer replied to this review. With the new version, I was able to select the language for the app's layout. Bundle Breaking is entertaining and informative. I am able to select topics of my liking. Very good on world news. The UI has a sleek and organized design. Nice work from the developers.

The app works well but has a fundamental flaw in the product design. I keep getting routed to paywalls for each source. I would pay for news Netflix type service but nobody seems willing to make that. Instead I click on articles all the time and get prompted to pay "only $7.99 a month" for eternity for each paper/magazine. I have more than 20 sources in my feed. Not happening.

This app is a masterpiece if you're a type of person who checks news regularly. Very user friendly interface, no ads popping on screen. And there are detailed filters for some readers

Overall its a good app. I love that its complete customizable with tons of sources. Major stability issues unfortunately. Can't get thru a single article for the screen jumping unless I open in browser. Hoping issue is resolved in next update or I'll have to uninstall..

This app was a one-stop shop for news. After the hi revamp the look improved substantially. In the recent version, the auto switch for light and dark theme is not working. I was changing it manually before. Kudos. A great app. Keep improving

Loved the app on my S9. But got a new S20 and widgets don't work. Tried contacting devs who have always been v. responsive and heard nothing. Figured they were already working on it, but latest update showed new set of widgets available and had the same issue-just got a message "error connection not available". I always used the widget to get to the app so I'm looking for a new one that works with S20.

There is a bug for nearly a year and you haven't fix it at all. The floating notifications don't direct me to the app. As soon as I clicked the notification, it disappears.. I don't think that this app is only for reading by notifications...

Nice interface and lots of sources to easily choose from... But doesn't see to care about timeliness... Most of my 'breaking news' is over a year old! ... edited to say: uninstalled after last update, since it's responsible for draining 50% of my battery for 15 minutes usage. Dunno what you did, but you definitely need to undo it!

Great app, definitely one of the best out there! It also gives you the chance to read news offline and the UI and UX are awesome. I'd love to see more options in the future, such as the possibility to automatically download last 12/24h news.

Recent updates have made this app go downhill. For example I Can't Ban sites with pay wall and I Can't Ban specific sites like tabloids and since they turn out much more content than legitimate news organization so my news feed is starting to look like Facebook. Also the leave feedback function in the settings opens a blank email with no email address. Please add the ability to Blacklist specific sites and provide a working feedback mechanism
