Bushnell Ballistics

Buggy App - Without updates or fixes. It seems the developers have abandoned the app, as the last update was mid last year, and there are plenty of bugs that they could be fixing. Pull down menus can be pulled down, but then cannot be pushed back up, covering reticle and key data.. Input selections can be tapped on once (such as range for targets), but then they wont let you tap on them again.. The app doesn't seem to be very well laid out in general, with things sometimes hard to find.

Important features are locked unless a specific rangefinder is connected to your phone/device. As insane as that sounds, it is the truth. If not for that, this app would be great. Also the app does not contain ballistic information for certain bullets I use (Speer, Fiocchi) so the use I have would be somewhat limited without manually entering data (which I don't mind, assuming I had full access to the ballistic controls).

I got the NITRO 1800 range finder and downloaded this app again to attempt to pair the two together...after numerous crashes and my phone freezing up I give up. Galaxy S9 EDIT*****After talking with Bushnell I reinstalled the app and went through the process again, it didn't work so they asked me to remove the battery and they put it back...in just a minute everything loaded and now seems to be fully functional.

Won't let you manually enter some specs for ammo etc. When you click on the grayed out specs you want to change, an add pop-up appears for their range finder. I don't need a new range finder. I would think me buying their scope would be enough for full use of the app. Disappointing... ill try it without the stats I can't enter but I may need to buy a different app. Also the ammo choices don't include my ww2LR so I can't click and have that info added. I got all the specs needed but the app won'

You can't change the twist rate on the barrel, making the solution worthless. I just tried to Upgrade to the paid version, and the app keeps trying to get me to pair it via Bluetooth to a rangefinder? What the heck? I watched the YouTube video tutorial from 3 years ago, no one from Applied Ballistics will return comments. Lots of thought into this app, but it seems buggy and ineffective....deleting it for the Hornady App.

I liked the app but latest update has made it no so good, was better how it used to be. Still doesn't fit all words on screen, its like the scale or something is wrong & bottom parts of words are missing. Using Samsung note 9. Some parameters can't be adjusted either. It was better before the update & simpler to use.

Alright app...wish they would add .358 and .366 bullets to the app and the ability to switch between MOA, MIL, AND INCH readings. Calculations for up/down arent always accurate...says to hold down when it should be up or vice versa.

Potential to be great. But their insistence to using their reticles and having a mildot without detailed hashed. You also have to pay another $50. Just to be able to set twist rate and scope height. Two basic fundamentals. If it wasnt for Kestrel compatibility I would have sold my 1800 range finder.

Zeroed at 100yards on the range, entered bullet info and was able to use it to get an estimate for using the hold over marks. Dropped my deer at just over 450yards with perfect placement! First time shooting my new 6.5 creedmoor and Bushnell 4.5-27X50 Forge at that distance! I'd say the app worked great! Although I would like to have distances greater then 800yards for the range.

Edit: it looks like they turned off needing an account to use the app now, so the app is back to working fine for my purposes. Rating changed to reflect It used to be fine. I stupidly updated and now I need an account and to be logged in to use the app. Figured this out while I was out on a hunt and had no reception so the app was useless at that point. We have already paid for the scope, and the app is supposed to support the product we have paid for, which it did before the update

Garbage. Bought to use with the Nitro 1800 LRF. Bluetooth doesn't connect. I got it to connect once. But now it doesn't so the Applied Ballistics feature of the rangefinder is useless. I guess I'm sending it back because I'm not paying for something that doesn't work.

Good idea but to complicated. Could not see it really helping me unless i want to take aalllllloongg long time to figure out where my round may land. May be good for targets, not really for hunting. It does give eye opening information to people that have never used all the information to shoot with. Its a good idea, may work good for others with a lot more patiants than me.

They won't let you use it even if you buy a bushnell scope. Outrageous. They locke down spring field ballistics. It's not even a option 😮😮 terrible. Could put bushnell way ahead of the pack but they hold you back

Useless App but nice scope. I purchased a Bushnell Rimfire scope 3-9x40mm with a DZ22 reticle but there is no option for that scope with that reticle on the App. Not sure why they put all over the box and directions to use the app. If the info comes with the scope then the option should be available on the app.

Disappointed. Have the Rimfire 3-9x40 Illuminated reticle, manual says it works with the app. No, it is not a listed scope. Also my bore height is 1.625 inches, app is locked to 2 inches. Deleting.

Don't bother chances are you will have a different range finder to the one the app will lead you to once you try to enter the relevant data Complete waste of time and mis leading.

The app works pretty good. I would give it 5 stars but doesnt allow for calculations past 800 yards... seems to be the common complaint on here. Please update the app to allow for longer ranges. Thx.

Incorrect zero distance. Since the update it no longer displays the correct zero distance on the range card which produces the wrong data for the bullet drop.

I really wanted this to work as I have a few Bushnells. I installed and had to create and account which I did. But then cant even sign in to use it "error code in application and your page cannot be served. If you are the application owner, check your logs for details.....

You cannot set very important factors in the free download. Bullet overall length, scope height, range, etc. Not good. Clickbait.

This app does not work for Trophy Extreme 4-16x (it does not calculate correctly based on reticle MOA). It also does not allow scope height entry. Looks good otherwise.

You buy a bushnell scope or 2 but to get full access to app you have to connect it to a bushnell range finder......

Only has bushnell reticle. I have the bushnell range finder which is why i use this app but a vortex scope. It would be nice to be able to download the proper reticle for the scope i use.

Useless. I selected my ammo Hornardy .270 130gr and the app automatically set up a muzzle velocity of 200 fps... I can't change it. That is saying everything.
