CalcTape Free Tape Calculator

Newly discovered this very useful app. A unique and handy idea. My one big gripe is that when using alongside other apps and i need to switch between the two to copy numbers across CalcTape keeps inserting decimal place zeroes. This can get really annoying when trying to input multiple 8-decimal-place crypto figures. One small gripe is the lack of real dark-mode. The darkest theme is ugly and not especially dark. It ought to be white text on black or grey with subtle colour if any.

Very buggy! Several times I have lost all of my data as this app will suddenly open a cursor that starts deleting all data one character at a time like a PacMan! I have tried stopping it, but it just continues until I shut my phone off. I have had to recreate a very long calc tape 4 times this year. Also the cursor jumps around on the screen when inputting data. Very good when it works but completely useless when it doesn't!

LOVE this app. Very quick and easy to use. Super flexible on-the-fly. Seamless input, editing, and even ad-hoc customizations, with no extra menu/setting nonsense up front (don't worry! all the extra nonsense is neatly tucked in the menu, for when u DO want to mess around with settings). Really find the export/print functionality to be a surprisingly useful and unexpectedly convenient tool. I've used it a lot, just to shoot my calc tape pg to a nearby printer, to hand to someone.

I've been using this app for years, should have reviewed it much sooner than this. I have various lists I keep that occasionally need to be recalculated. The ability to add text to each figure is priceless. I have over 20 calculators on my phone for various special tasks. This is one of my favorites, one I can't imagine living without. Developer has created a Windows version as well.

I like this app and have the Pro version. However, I would like the option to have the decimal as a comma with thousand separator as a dot and also an option to keep the screen on when using over a long period of time without having to change the phone settings each time. It is annoying when going back to the calculator only to find I have to enter my unlock code again.

One of the best calculators that mimic a tape calculator. I love the running total feature. Even for the free portion it works great for my working needs. I have gotten 2 other people to download it, so far. I work retail and counting money on the standard calculator app doesn't cut it for me. Definitely would recommend it to anyone that works retail or in any field that deals with money.

Who would not love this wonderful app? I have used it for family and business accounting for like a year now. Lots of nice features. No problems with it at all. Would have given it ten stars. Though, instead of tape (which is getting longer daily) I will like the option to save each calculation separately as pages with captions, like in notebooks. Maybe you call it CalcNote or CalcPage. Can you create an app like that?

I really like having something that I can work with running adjustable calculations, it makes it very easy to work with numbers. and with adding notes to it. as soon as they came with the premium app I bought it without hesitation. granted it's not a scientific calculator but it's great for general math equations. and I also purchased their version for desktop computers. 2020 revised.. now that they've added higher math functions. It simply is the best.

Good looking as a tape etc. but calculation is not accurate. Try just doing simple 10%, 5%, or 2% of multiply by 5000[5000*10%]. After the first few correct calculations, repeated calculations are wrong. Don't really know where the errors are creeping in. Tried adding an empty line between the last result and the new calculation. Didn't seem to help always. Seems accurate if you start with a clean page.

A great app, especially with the margin note-taking ability, but it would be nice to be able to save separate tapes for simultaneously ongoing purposes. I currently use this app for my business and have to use a separate similar app for my personal things. Also, the margin notes are supposed to automatically turn grey, but sometimes bits and pieces of the margin notes randomly turn black as I'm typing (obviously a small bug, but it's annoying sometimes).

This is a very good calculator, with a particularly good tape (scratch pad) displaying, correcting, saving and sharing calculations. I'd give five stars except that the input can be a bit cumbersome sometimes popping me out of the app, which can be annoying. That aside, this has become my everyday calculator, the scratch-pad tally tape and its capabilities for adding notes being such a strong, useful feature. Well done.

A MUST HAVE APP. 1. One is able to see all the long calculations and if you find any mistake in previous entries, you need not start all calculations from scratch... you just correct that mistake and the final result is rectified on its own. 2. Another excellent feature is that you can copy paste the calculations to note pad or anywhere. 3. You can also write a note against any figure. THANKS DEVELOPERS FOR THIS NICE APP AND KEEPING IT FREE.

I am an avid user of this app i love it 😊 not only does it give you a running tally of all your numeric configurations it's user-friendly, easily accessible, adjusted to your own personal setting, make the font small medium or large, make your keyboard small medium or large, and the list goes on there's just endless possibilities with this thank you !!!!!

This calculator stands out. I have always wanted the type of calculator I can use together with shorts notes. For instance, while preparing a shopping list or a budget you need to name the items plus the price then total. This calculator answers to that directly. In fact you can use it with your own phone keyboard. I salute the developers. I came back here to appreciate you. It's not just about digits or numbers but also letters. I've realised you can only type the words on the right.

I like the easyway of taking notes however, it does not remain in portrait mode and the notes I took during my tests were long notes for each test calculation and they extend far to the right and I mean WAY FAR so instead of remaining in portrait mode for easy reading, I have to scroll all the way to the right in portrait mode to read the notes when it would be better if they remained in proper formation for portrait mode.

I just this app for simple everyday use. I love the 'tape' and being able to review a list of numbers to be sure nothing was missed or entered incorrectly. Without that feature I can get 3 different totals on 3 attempts.

Probably the best app for your calculations. Easy to verify what you typed because of the "tape", no need to calculate twice in order to be sure. And it's possible to go back a bit, store info in different memory slots, add text to remember what you were calculating, and save info. Absolutely hervorragend!!

Pretty good app, WELL WORTH THE TINY COST to upgrade. Clunky that on thetext girls you can't use any punctuation that is used as arithmetic opperands without causing it to revert to number fields. Like - . / * That's not much Help but it's pretty simple to figure out. Cumbersome to finger type and edit but very handy to be able to notate entries. Not to mention direct print from phone, Save-As [page name] or PDF file. Saves having to build a whole spreadsheet for quick work.

Simple free interface with several steps of history and handy copy button. No ads, but some interesting pro features like user-defined functions (haven't tried them yet).

If you use a calculator AT ALL, it should be this one. On my shortlist of apps I can't believe I ever lived without. Paid version worth every penny for ability to name/save/export calculations & more. I use @ work & home. Keep up w/ personal loans w/ a running total you can share w/ anyone as a txt file, print to pdf, etc. Manual on dev's site lists even more features. ☆ The app's files may be mistaken for junk when you clean/optimize your phone. Be careful w/ "cleaners." BACK UP IMPORTANT FILES

Was going to buy the "Pro" version this morning. Instead of opening the Play Store, it opened a pop-up window and asked for my Google password. That just struck me as odd. Every other app I've upgraded took me to the Play Store and completed the purchase there. I cancelled the purchase and did not give them my Google password. The free version of the app works fairly well for my purposes. I'm just not comfortable with this purchase process.

Sounds like a pretty straightforward idea, to imitate a calculator tape on the screen, but the app impresses with its stylish design and practicality. I find particularly useful the functionality allowing to copy/paste a calculation into any correspondence or document. Great application, thanks!

Awesome app love it use it everyday. Would be nice to be able to change the colors a bit more, it is also as free which I love . Overall great app. Also would be nice if the keyboard didn't pop up every time you re open the app from a minimized window it's kinda annoying. It's the best app like this by far.

CalcTape is clear and easy to use. The ability to add notes beside calculations is very useful. For regular work it is the best app I have found. The PC version is great too. I have found no ads when using the program.
