This app seems not to be maintained anymore. It's a shame, it used to be an excellent app getting the most out of my old Huawei P7. It still sort of works on more recent hardware, but can't use multiple optics (wide angle, tele), and is crashy. On the Mi 9 SE it claims to be able to save DNG but the view finder stays black. On the plus side, when it works, the result seems more natural. Adobe Lr seems to do DNG on 9SE. I paid for both Camera & Cinema FV-5, seeing them abandoned is a bit sad.

Great Camera! I've used this camera on all my devices for years and love it's uncomplicated GUI. However, it's always had a video function in the past, but upon install on Moto G6 Power, I see no video option. What's up with that guys? Might be a deal breaker for me. Tell me how to video with this app again and I'd definitely give it 5 stars!🌟 Anyone know of a similar app with video function?

5 starts when i can set my storage. Perfect camera app. Would like to be able to set my custom storage as written in the manual. At the moment the app is making double pictures and the raw is off! How is that possible?

Bought this to get bracketing and exposure control on Pixel 6 pro. Got all that and quite a bit more. Only upgrade I would suggest is exact zoom settings for different cameras optical zoom focal lengths and ability to use them. Well worth getting this app though, easy to use, like turning phone into DSLR, just difficult to know what you're doing with zoom.

Was a fantastic camera app, now two major problems. Very slow shutter speed so blurring is common, worst is that it is erratic in saving images. I cam take 5 photos and only 1 is saved. Often none are. I have owned this app for years but now I just use the Samsung app that came with my Note 9 instead. I hope this gets fixed but I have lost too many images I needed for work to trust it now. It is updated

Bought it yesterday. Every other image is a blank. Cannot get burst mode to work. Another one - table cloth is green but it is.blue in a picture. Skies are blue but come as white.... This is a promising app but still needs a lot of improvements.

Great app. Takes fantastic pictures in Raw PNG format. Very clear pictures. Great focusing ability. One small niggle is that it is too easy to accidently touch the video camera mode and lose whatever pictures you have just taken that haven't completed their background processing. I've lost a lot of good shots because of that. It is annoying to say the least. But great camera app.

I've just downloaded and started using this app for night sky photography. It's easier to get decent night shots than with my old DSLR. I was expecting full manual control but of couse, cell cameras don't have shutter blades so no f-stop control. The UI is very intuitive, very short learning curve and the user guide is extremely helpful at explaining the features and in some cases, limitations of the app. I expect I'll be using the app for all my photography, it's excellent!

Seems odd that the paid version has a lower rating of 2.7 than the free one of 3.8. Update: On opening the app following reinstallation I received a popup with the following text: "This app was built for an older version of Android and may not work properly. Try checking for updates, or contact the developer." Screenshot saved if required. The current version was released on 2017 is not an unreasonable statement.

Great app and extra features for long exposure . I have one issue of course, I can't find in the settings how to keep live frame from switching from portrait to landscape , and it does so with the slightest movement or twitch . It will start rotating but then goes back since I wasn't ever gonna turn my phone sideways in the first place. I have read your responses to this issue on where to find the lock of view but for whatever reason it's not there or in any besides rotating pics per degrees

Tod. M. Jul 5, 2020

Yikes! What happened to manual exposure compensation! Not a good thing to get rid of! Do I have to find a new camera app? Thanks, I did find that, and it worked well. Appreciate the response. Next up, having more issues - I can't get it to output 16:9 images (despite having chosen every 16:9 resolution in the list, it stays on 4:3), and can't get "tap to take a picture" to work. Enabled or disabled, tapping will focus but not take a picture... Lastly, how does it integrate with video? I'm seeing no option to allow me to shoot video. I think the prior FV5 launched a different app to do that, but I'm not seeing an option for that here... Thanks. Thanks, but now since the update I have the weirdest behavior, I'm not sure how to describe it. If I shoot a portrait photo, the result is it takes the portrait picture and turns it 90 degrees and then stretches the aspect ratio out to landscape, so I end up with a photo that is very wide and short, and on it's side... Oops....? Sorry guys but I"m really struggling with this and it's unworkable at the moment.. I uninstalled completely and then reinstalled. I did the Lite version first. It seemed to be working fine - I set up some configuration things but didn't shoot anything, but the viewfinder image was fine. Then I installed the Pro version, it came up fine but the minute I flipped my phone over on it's side, BAM, back to the same problem... Help! Update. Just found out Lite works fine on my phone. It's only the Pro version that goes whacky...

Major annoyance and bug keeping it from five stars. I use this app for product photography for my e-commerce business. When I lay down the phone with the camera open between photos and pick it back up it'll often switch from right-handed to left-handed and even when it switches back it will often times take the picture upside down or even sometimes sideways. Most camera apps have an option to lock it in landscape mode and they keep it from switching from right-handed to left-handed.

Not sure if you should buy it? Try the Lite version; it has all the features, but just limit your resolution. Few camera apps are so complete in giving you tools to take a great picture. No, it doesn't have filter; the tools are to TAKE a picture and not to modify it later. And remember that your phone hardware must give the software allow those too.

Weird. My review is gone. Any explanations for this? It's a good start for resurrecting the app, and I'm thankful you did not turn into a subscription model, because I was recommending it to people again. But you need to iron some bad bugs. Right now: -UPDATING RESETS MOST OF THE SETTINGS. Not only it sent me back to the default driver that causes poor performance and limits functionality, but it also changed the selected folder for pictures, dangerously filling my internal storage.

I've been a paid user of this app for several years now, it's definitely had its issues in that time, but overall it's been the best camera app I've found. This most recent update though. Why would you take away the ability to bracket and burst shoot at the same time? Those two features in conjunction with each other are the main function I use the app for, and don't get me started on the new interface. It's things like this that are why I don't often update apps. Had to hunt down a legacy apk.

KiL. Jun 28, 2019

Dont waste your money. It wasn't even working at first. I had to swap to legacy driver to get it to work, while the lite version didnt have this issue. There are also a few features missing in this one that were in the lite version. Things such as the manual focus I could not find in the Pro version of the app. That was really the only reason that I was buying this app in the first place. It's just the preinstalled camera app with a new Ui and quite a bit less stable.

Pat. Q. Apr 29, 2020

Like so many, I used to love this app for the control it gave me over my galaxy s4 camera. Since upgrading to an s10+, it is all but useless, hence the 1 star. The developer posted on his website last summer that new version in the works to take full advantage of new camera features. A beta program is in process, but nothing else from the developer in 8 months. VERY frustrating! If/when new fully functional version comes out I do not expect it to be a free upgrade, willing to pay after test.

Din. D. Aug 17, 2020

Only thing that would make this near perfect is a dynamic symmetry grid! It's so easy to switch between grids! Some glitches even after the update, but I use this now instead of my native camera app, due to it having a live histogram, and better UI. The cons are there small lags sometimes, other than that I can not say, so I'll comment more on any bugs I find, after using the updated version better.

This app is fantastic, the GUI is great and the ability to manually control all the main camera functions is exactly what i was looking for and exactly what i got. The image quality is far superior to the standard Android app. Unfortunately the view finder image is upside down when shooting. I'm aware this is due to sensor orientation in different phones but i have emailed the developer and had no response. Can you update the app for compatibility with the Alcatel 3V or suggest a workaround?

Cha. Dec 2, 2020

Edit: Why do I see offer to some users for old version and not others? I paid just the same as them. I hate the update to the interface. I can no longer adjust manual focus with by pressing and holding on the screen and have to go to the tray. Why would you think that adjusting exposure bias on screen would be desirable over focus with the obvious target audit for this app. This is so daft, also the vibration on getting to 0 bias I hate this so much. Overall the UI is much less optimized.

Rob. M. Nov 21, 2020

This app was great, which is why I purchased it a year ago. But with this new update it is virtually unusable. It was an amazing replacement app for my phone's native point and shoot app, but with the removal of all scene settings and auto control modes, I'm lost. I have a DSLR if I want manual control or artistic work. For my phone I want the app to open in a second and take great full-automatic adjusted photos with no effort, like the pre-update app was doing.

Dav. F. Jun 25, 2019

**WARNING** I recommend that you do not purchase this app. I have had problems which make it unusable and I have had no reply to emails or tweets. The app hasn't been updated for nearly 2 years *** The full version is not working properly, rotates and un rotates pictures, then crashes every picture. The lite version didn't do this. I've emailed developer for a refund. This is a shame, of the 5 or 6 apps I tried this was closest to most faithful colour capture and I liked the layout of the ui.

Fil. P. Dec 18, 2020

This used to work so much better before the update... It reacts really slow when you turn your phone for landscape, and then when you take a picture it saves it upside down or sideways oriented... The button to switch to Cinema FV-5 doesn't work. It also doesn't save your last used preferences on focus and exposure and so on. I paid for it so I hope this gets fixed.

bru. k. Mar 2, 2021

Still the best app camera app! The new update freaked me out a bit, so thanks for the legacy option, I was able to keep using this great app while figuring out how the updated version works. Main problem was orientation & distorted image, went into the viewfinder option and set to landscape / reverse landscape. Now I can see what I'm trying to photograph! Missing compensation on-screen, slidy thing not very responsive, solved by setting volume keys. Feeling much better about the update!

Ale. H. Jun 23, 2020

This app use to be really good, until the new update, now I can no longer do long exposure shots of over 1 second, the UI has been changed which makes it less user friendly. If there was a way to override this 1 second exposure back to the 5 second exposure that the app use to be able to do then that would be great.
