Since the update last year, it takes a good 20-30 seconds to auto login. Other than that, it's an easy to navigate banking app.
Very easy to use. All automatic transfers, deposits and payments. Really easy banking and navigation of accounts and records.

Works as intended. I would like to see an old PSCU feature return, incoming funds marked in green and outgoing red.

Very easy to use banking app that keeps your account info private but easy to access.
App is a standard banking app, and does almost everything that I need it to do. Allows me to do 98% of my banking via the app. However, you cannot set up travel plans in the app, you have to call. This is a major inconvenience for those of us that travel frequently. Most standard banking apps allow you to enter travel plans.
It is a very reliable bank app and the safety features and functions are much appreciated! Thank you PJ
Life saver- I moved to New Mexico from Colorado. During the pandemic, many branches either closed, or stopped offering "shared branching". The few locations that were open had over hour long waits. Parking lots were maxed out, walk in and drive-thru lines spilled into streets. It was hard to find time to make a simple deposit. This app has been a literal time and life-saver. It's easy to use. I have no idea how I would have been able to make deposits to pay bills.
They are so helpful very easy to make a transaction and they are very nice all the time
Only complaint is with cash advances - looks the same as regular transfers (no fee warning)
Most of the features I use on the app work just fine. The mobile deposit feature is absolutely horrible. The two biggest requirements for the picture to be accepted, or at least the two biggest errors I get EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY, are to have a black background in a well lit area. I've tried everything outside of laying the check down in the middle of the road at high noon to get the damn photo accepted. Maybe that's my next step. On the rare occasions the photo does get accepted, it's a rush!
This is one of the three credit unions that I have apps with. and in reality this is probably one of the worst build apps. It has partial functionality for the majority of the things that are required. But finding things and applying to new services is almost impossible. Calling into the credit union using the app's call feature always results in a dropped call. It doesn't really update very well for example when you pull your FICO score or similar it takes 6 to 8 days for it to update
Pros: The mobile check deposit is nice. Auto detect of the check works about 75% of the time. Transfers to savings or checking are easy. Cons: between accounts you must be logged into the account that is transferring, not the one being transferred into. The app will only let me sign into one of my 3 accounts. Not at any time, ever. I get an error message that says there is already one account in use on this app, and another one can't log in. App needs improvement.
Interface is ok. There are some non intuitive elements such as the bill pay which shows you a prominent list of your registered payees and your first instinct is to click one to pay your bill. That is not, however, the path as clicking brings up a message that you cannot modify payees. The Submit Your Bill button is. Submit is usually what you click after you have completed all your entries. While the intent is clear these small deviations make the app feel hard to use.
I use this app almost every day, in conjunction with daily text messages of my balance. Does what I need (check balance, make transfers, search for specific transactions) and is pretty easy to use. Login to each account is simple (as long as I remember my passwords), but you can only be logged in to one account at a time.
Complete garbage. Takes eons to load past the splash screen. Does not save login information, nor does it remember that I set up a PIN login, so I have to manually enter my username and password every time. If that wasn't bad enough, it requires a text verification despite this. Once you actually get logged in, it functions fine enough, but come on. Maybe instead of spending tens of thousands dollars to name Tony Frank's ego boost of a stadium they could've hired some halfway decent programmers.
Mostly great, but no way to make auto loan payments?
Upgrades have resolved some of the previous challenges. The fingerprint login is working much better - love this option. malfunctions. Once in - the site deposits and online banking are excellent. Online bill pay cumbersome, not intuitive and can't schedule payments more than 3 months out.
Not as functional or easy as pscu version. Functionality all mixed together visually, very distracting. Would love to be able to use older version where I knew exactly where the desired functionality was located & not cluttered with all transactions listed down tje screen, transferring function was much cleaner before. Very unhappy.
I've moved out of state, but continue to bank with Canvas because it's 2022, and it shouldn't be hard to deposit checks via the app. Except it takes several DAYS for the app to work correctly - it's constantly crashing when I try to take the photos or I get an error and to try again later. It's a good thing I'm not relying on these deposits to avoid overdrafting Mt account because you can't trust the app will function correctly when needed.
I like how it works at times but it sometimes doesn't work at all. I understand why it takes long to transfer from external accounts but wished when depositing a check I can choose to put it on the card instead of savings. Edit 2/6: the app and website is NOW claiming I don't get rewards because I don't have a card. Umm...I do have a canvas plus credit card and I use to get rewards. I hope this glitch gets fixed soon.
The app does all the things it is supposed to but is not intuitive to use. Also, when setting up bill pay, there is one screen with lots of fields that gets cleared if you get something wrong, like the very specific and not described format for phone numbers.
What a bummer!! I absolutely loved the PSCU mobile app. I downloaded this one with no choice and have so many problems. Does not function as properly or as efficiently as the old app. And how can an app always say error occurred when you try to access it???? Ridiculous. Please consider looking into this and fix it! Have been a loyal PSCU member for years, truly a disappointing.
Update 1/31/20: the new Canvas facelift has improved the app's functionality and aesthetic! Better user experience, overall. The app generally works well, but does experience outages with some regularity. The required text/call passcode also makes switching between joint accounts inconvenient. Appreciate the check scan and other contemporary features from Canvas's updated format.
Good app once open. But so incredibly slow to start up and then process the logon it's almost unusable. It routinely takes 2 to 2.5 minutes before it's open to my account. My other banking apps open in 30 seconds or less. FIX THIS SPEED / SERVER ISSUE!
Unbeknownst to me the app inexplicably turned on all my spending, merchant and transaction controls, which resulted in my card being denied while I was out shopping. I had no idea why my card was being denied, as there was plenty of money in my account. Of course I didn't have enough cash on me either. Luckily I thought to check the controls, because trying to reach someone on the phone on weekends is impossible.
The last app was so much better for searching transactions and seeing your transactions. Honestly not impressed with this institution at all with the rate they've changed cards given out bad cards that all the information rubs off of and they're lack technological advancement.
The mobile check deposit is HORRIBLE!!! EVERY.....SINGLE......TIME..... I go to deposit a check using the app there is always an error. I have sent reports, called Canvas customer service on several occasions with same issue the mobile check deposit and has yet to be fixed, it has been well over 6 months that this issue has occurred. I have done all tech steps reinstalled the app, restart my phone ect. Still has issues. I have no issues with mobile deposit with our other credit union.
The app keeps shutting itself off. After 3 days and a dozen tries, it finally stayed working long enough for me to deposit my check. When it works, it's great, otherwise it's been very frustrating.
