Did the 3day free trial and the HD recording was not anymore clear than the free trial. So the 2nd day i canceled the subscription and uninstalled during the trial period. Still charged me.
Absolutely garbage. Not even put it up. What a nightmare. Taking it back for rufund. Cant view anything on phone or camera. Payment taken out of my account. Not happy at all. App does not do anything
What they consider to be basic features or functions they make available for free that they could charge quite easily for. The fact that the app does more than just 1 thing is a bargain in itself. Bonuses are added that are not even really essential just to make the app functional. Setup was fast and not technical at all. No complaints or issues here.
What else can I say, but "WOW!!" I just came across this app less than 15 minutes ago and already have it set up on my AT&T Note 8 as a viewer and an old Alcatel running WiFi only for the camera. Lots of features in the free version like motion and sound detection also alerts to the viewer phone. I am going to upgrade to premium for sure, just to support the developers. Thank you, keep up the great work! EDIT: Just upgraded to premium. Definitely worth it! Best security camera app ever!
bought the upgrade, apps works well. I would like the "camera phone" screen to lock at the phone locking screen. Problem is if the screen is touched the screen wakes to video recording screen, not exactly surveillance. The monitoring phone does not connect until a few attempts, issue seen in this phone is the tilt / screen orientation is to sensitive. I have had an instance where it says I have movement recorded it but video would not play. besides these the is very good, very intuitive.
there are a couple of things that would be nice to see fixed. sometimes the camera phone takes a little bit longer to connect to the viewer. also so far every time I try to record a live feed the app glitches and stops running. Great idea and almost perfect setup just a couple more bugs to workout
Hilariously bad. Is this app a joke? Of all the phone security camera apps this one is by far the worst, and I've basically tried them all. Its "motion capture" recording, if you can even call it that, takes 50kb pictures of which I can count the individual pixel and somehow still fails to capture any motion. It doesn't even show up in the gallery, which remains empty, and I have to go to Google drive to see it directly.
This app is amazing. I love the fact that you are able to listen and speak with this. You can turn the flashlight on from your veiwing phone play an alarm it has a night time mode thats not very useful maybe with a better camera. I plan on paying for the full version so i can usr more than one camera and take advantage of the auto record feature. If your only using one phone/camera the free version is good as is.
It works as described. The free version will allow you to watch any device with a cam that the app is on but the premium version of the app is to expensive as it only unlocks automatic features like autorecord and alarm for a monthly fee but does not upload the video to online storage or any other feature that would be worth a 5 dollar month fee. Change the price to a one time fee and then it becomes more then a one time use app because you end up forgetting to set it up and record manually.
Okay, so I bought the month subscription. I'm still having trouble getting a recording. I've uninstalled and installed on both phones. I don't know why I'm having so much problems. But I'm giving it 4 stars until I get a video recording or not. I've restarted both phones too. I'm anxious to resolve the issue. I followed instructions. I couldn't get any recordings it keeps closing. After I purchased the monthly it won't open at all.. :/
Update still does not work properly I've tested more and come to find out you could be in the range of the camera for a few minutes before it takes pictures or recordings but if it changes from sunny to overcast or vice-versa you will get notifications all day and see nothing but the sun changing. And when you try to redirect pictures and recordings they don't go there. People detection never works I've turned it on and walked around all day with not 1 picture.
The Ads aren't too annoying but the siren button doesnt seem to work often for me. Streaming via Cell signal which is almost impossible. On wifi it is okay, but my cell internet is faster than my rural wifi at home, so not sure why I'm getting such poor streaming with faster internet via cell signal and good signal. I get a couple seconds of stream at best. it's good enough for a couple second check in via phone. works good with home internet though.
How do I run it as background on the old phone while still able to use the old phone for running other apps?
App is fantastic. It runs really smooth and has good video quality and doesn't have much lag. I've got two old phone that now serve a purpose instead laying around in my junk drawer. I really like that you can get alerts when there's motion or noise, and the talk feature is great.
One of the best Apps That ive seen in a while. Finally something comes along that makes use of the unused technology that most of us just have laying in junk drawers on on shelves just collecting dust... & not only does it allow us to use our spare devices , Cawice then makes them relevant and quite useful again. Love the features and design of the app as well !!! Wish i could get the premium so i could leave even more details. Until then I will just be happy for what functions i can use so far. A+
It works alright. I purchased this app so I could record and it does not automatically record. and if I am watching in real time and record manually, I still can not review the videos. They are in a format that I can not figure out how to play the videos. It's a waste of money and time. I also can not connect with the viewer phone outside of my home. pointless
im only getting sound and no video. and when i say sound i mean a high pitched ringing sound like the tone from the baby monitor in the movie "signs". if i can get some help with this issue itd be great. UPDATE!!!! deleted this trash and installed Geny studios SeeCiTv. its free. has way more free options. much better quality. genuinely impressed. highly recommended. NEW UPDATE!!! uh. you are wrong. go look again at their details. i am emailing you now.
They REALLY nees to create a ZERO star option! This has got to be, by far, the worst app i have ever used! installed on one phone as the camera. Video never shows. viewer phone says camera is online. I NEVER GET A PICTURE THOUGH! The options for motion detection and sound detection turn off right away. install on a second phone as camera. shows video twice for a second or two. again same problems! ALL other similar apps have worked. why not this one? Garbage!
Using Samsung S8 to remotely monitor the living room via an old LG K8 in under 5 min. K8 has no LTE access and I disconnected from wifi on the S8... still works. I have options to record video for future playback, enable/disable audio on the video, and send audio to the K8 from the Samsung. Setting up connections is literally idiot-proof. Great App.
could not intialised connection keeps popping up every 20-30 seconds, both devices are new and within close proximity to the router, 200mb download speed available. resolution is quite low.. think early 90s webcam type affair, the camera sensor itself is irrelevant as it seems to use 240 lines of resolution so rather detailless, it works as long as you keep restarting it. but ultimately seems no different than 15 year old webcam security type devices
so this app was actually working really well until i did the update and now it doesn't work at all. stays on black screen saying open app on phone to use cawice. apps on both phones are open but both say the same thing. ive tried closing and reopening the apps signing out and back in but nothing.
Camera quality isn't HD because I'm repurposing my old Android device as a security system now. its fun messin with ppl lol :-) This app works as good as expected which is awesome!! Considering old tech isn't the greatest to keep around, it sure beats throwing still usable smart gear away! And forget about recycling for 5 bucks , with the Cawice app you will receive what feels like hundreds of dollars in just time well spent. Thanks guys!!!
Setup requiring Google account to be put on phone! I don't want to put a specific account on the phone to be able to use the app, I don't need it to log in for anything else! How to view over the web, without installing the app again?!? No dark mode!!! Can't tell if most of the settings are active or not, pain in the ass! Still says purchase, Unsure what I'm paying a monthly fee for?!? (This alone was 2 stars!) Crashes upon signout! Under "records", date is wrong! Doesn't fix/update itself!
(Edit) I rated 3 stars at first in haste as it immediately asked me to rate it before I even got a chance to explore. Lots of apps do this and I think that it is creating inaccurate reviews due to the sheer aggravation of the pushing for the review itself. After further exploring I've come back to change that to 5 Stars. It's a great app. Lots of features that others don't have and easy to use! great job!
Having purchased premium for 1 month, found that it is terrible! Doesn't pick up people movement, has trouble connecting remotely in the same building, and will not connect remotely at all away from the same Wi-Fi network! Don't waste your money!
If you view the live streaming while listening to music/radio etc., the music/radio etc will stop. Is there a setting to avoid this so we can listen to music and view the streaming at the same time? Can I listen to the audio using earphone? Currently the audio can be heard from speaker only.
frustrating, was working ok, but for some reason the viewer phone is a camera CAN'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE MAIN MENU I JUST HAVE A BLACK SCREEN just keep saying "open cawice aplicacion on your phone to watch your security camera" can't make it work and I have my 2 dogs at home right now. HELP!!! you guys need to improve that, to remotely manage and able to turn on or turn off other devices as the competitors do it. especially for users that pay a monthly subscription.
Has good picture and video down fall doesn't seem to record and the audio is sketchy hit or miss kinda disappointing i think that i will stick with alfred it at least functions as claimed got a response from cawice to get in touch with them so they could help out with my issues its now been 3 days sense I've contacted them and told them my issues I'm experiencing and have not received any response of any kind to fix or update app I'd leave a 0 star but unfortunately you can't delete app
This application was far more amazing than I had ever expected!!!! Every device I tried to connect to it was instantly discovered and connected with no problems. I have 5 connected at this very moment.
The free version of this app is well worth money. Bravo job development team! Is it possible to have one ios phone/camera AND one Android/phone camera on the same network?
