Me: Ooh that is an interesting story. *click* CBS: No but this is! *different story which was a more recent notification pulls up instead* (Also it did in fact get rid of the notification for what I clicked on, but not what it sent me to.) [Also sooooo many ads, getting a video to play is a nightmare.]
I get an alert about "breaking news", but there always seems to be a "network error loading content" when I click on the alert. Okay, so what's this story over herefrom earlier? "Click"..."nothing in the archives"! I will be uninstalling it, after several months of trying to use it. Bye, now.
Why am I seeing 2 app icons? I clicked uninstall on one, and both were deleted. I tried installing it again, and the 2 icons reappeared again on my apps screen. Same icons, same name: "CBS NEWS". Both open the same app. And with the app open in the background, clicking the 2nd icon doesn't open it up twice or anything like that... it just pulls the one you already had open back up. Very strange. Please advise.
Good once it finally loads. I have multiple news apps, and this one is the one I least like going to because it takes so long to load. I get that eye logo that sits there forever before I actually get to the article I want to read. Other apps are instant.
A solid 1.5 stars. Great headline teasers that immediately get lost in the mess if you decide you have time to look. But that's only a problem if you haven't lost patience by the time it loads in (waaaaaayy too long for 5g, 5bars, and on an s22 ultra). I really want to like it, but there is just too much bloat.
Good reportage, especially great when there's live coverage. A little klunky on the navigation. Definitely excessive in the ads department, but hey... free news app. Needs adds. Recommend less Pfizer!
It takes too long for CBS to load the articles just viewed. In the time you wait you forget all about viewing it again. A share link is needed. You would be able to draw more viewers, especially when they realized how necessary the articles were to them in their lives. Difficult to share articles with others you need the share link.
I downloaded the app in part to watch Never Seen Again... Should have been called Never Got To See It! As it was not available to watch! I downloaded the app and searched the menu for it but couldn't find it anywhere..LAME. I'm going to uninstall immediately. Feel like it's false advertising. No Thanks.
You click on the story and the app buffers for too long. If I click the back button it tries to go back to post, then the news article pops up. Very labor intensive for a scroller like me.
Great place to find the news I need. Readily easy to navigate, does have some connection issues if running off wifi, but turned it off, and havent had a problem since! 😍
The most current and relavent happenings across our globe given in the news-reporting style we deserve, (no games, no persuading towards ABC or casters opinion, no propaganda). And I don't have to pay to get it. My choice. Your choice to show support for true, honest and personable stories without gimmick.
I enjoy the app, especially the access to Sunday Morning show. A little heavy on the daily notifications but that may be a matter of streamlining my preferences that I haven't looked into yet.
This app is BS. I tried looking for information about a shooting that happened blocks from me. CBS is trash because they gave few seconds of coverage. They didn't mention the cross streets, they only mentioned the area term that not everyone knows. It showed in the broadcast they didn't give a F about covering the story.
I don't know why it takes so long for this app to load. On multiple occassions my screen has timed out while waiting for an article load when I had great signal.
I've been using the streaming app on my TV and other devices for years. Decided it was time to add it to my phone. Best in depth reporting. Outstanding analysts. And I just like their anchors. All day long.
I think the presentations are well done and are not particulary biased. The one thing i don't care for is that there is an obvious lack of intellectual understanding about what is being discussed / topics. I am tired of no depth and no sense of what is really going on in our country. Too much glossing over ....
My screen keeps going to sleep on the video and I can't just easily watch the NEWS from the beginning. It's links to the website, I wouldn't call it an app.
The volume on the ads is five times louder than the news. It's ridiculously loud. Have to keep the remote on me to mute it. Fix this! I will be uninstalling soon!
Well when it works it works. But most of the time it crashing 4 or 5 times and had to be forced closed each time until it finally decides to work.
I clicked on a news notification that I wanted to view And when I did a window came up asking to leave a review yes or no thanks (Most have the option of later not just yes or no) I clicked no thanks because I wanted to view the news notification that I received Well since doing that I can't use this app Always getting a window that pops up with wait, close app, or leave feedback. Guess uninstall and ABC it is Well here is your review now! If you click no thanks the app will no longer work 😢
A fine news app. So nice to be able to watch such trustworthy news reporters with such ease. The written articles are well laid out and organized.
This is the best app using CBS as its raison d'etre in the app universe. It is smart, easy to negotiate, and delivers the goods. It runs articles, includes well-produced brief commercials, plus it's chock full of info. No glitches! Paramount is THE WORST - except at glitches. There, it is king.
Very disappointed, every time I go to see"breaking News" there are all these commercials to watch. I'm deleting it, it's just a waste of time to me.
App works great. I like that the podcasts are separated per section of the day and not syrung into one long podcast episode and the live radio function works without any issues
Overall it's good, some buffering issues but I think that is because of my internet, not the app. Thanks guys for making a good, solid, app!
I really dislike that if I have to back out of a (streamed) story for something else coming in on my phone, that I cannot resume where I left off. So instead of rewatching the entire content to get the last few moments, I'll just move on. Seems like an app with this kind of backing would have taken something like this into account. May delete the app, may re-download later, not sure. But this would be a nice improvement for consumers. The additional network error messages are also too frequent.
