Very disappointing: it rejects a large percentage of brand new receipts as having "already been scanned." And my wife is having the same problem on her phone. I've written Checkpoints 2x about this, and both times they assured me they're working on it. But after 3 months, I'm not convinced. This app doesn't pay enough to put up with this unreliability: only 1.48 cents per receipt. When we get enough points to cash out, we plan to uninstall this waste of our time and phone memory.
still not working for over a month now. I have emailed this company 6times to try to get my gift cards that I did a lot of scanning for and always get the same excuses all the time. It states 15 business days. It has now been over 3 weeks and still waiting. And u can't call them because they don't have a phone to call. Never again.
Eff u, app devs! Scam! Every giftcard redemption, my "account under review" and I wait and wait and NOTHING! MONTHS! Have you joined the other apps that are frauds? Used to be instant $1 amazon gift card. Now no matter how many times I accumulate, steals my points and sends me an email telling me 14days to review my account, over and over and over... accumulate, steals, says to wait 14days! NEVER used to be a scam! Never had issues in years of use! Now the arrogance!
Tells me I have already scanned the receipt and I did not. This app owes me several points for all the receipts that say "already scanned " when they have NOT been scanned. This app is a joke. Say they will fix it and they don't.
I wouldn't even rate this app. The app is very glitchy. You have to keep reopening it. Always says that my receipts are invalid when they've never been scanned before. I tried to cash out for $5 on PayPal and it told me that my account was under review for security reasons. This app is worthless.
They dont payout now. Garbage. I have 2 gift cards waiting for. Checkpoops is new name. No more points for them till paid. F... This app is trash, no pay.
The interface looks old as heck, the battery consumption is insane, it does say that a receipt has been scanned when it hasn't, and I never got the money that I cashed out, one 2 weeks ago and the other one a month ago. It seems to be a scam
The app works fine for me. Apart from some brand new receipt that they say have already been scan, and after cashing u you take a while to get your gift card, however really don't have any other problems with the app
Problem scanning items and now getting messages that receipts I haven't submitted yet have already been submitted after I scan them for the first time. Please fix the app!
My receipts are getting accepted, but my account never gets credited. They should just shut down the app if they won't fix all the problems
Checkpoints is going out of business. I read that most of their programming & support staff have been let go. Cash out now, if even possible. You will find that 50% or more of scanned receipts are found to be "previously scanned". This is just a scam to get more receipt scans without awarding credit to you.
Barcode scanning portion of the app is pretty good, though items available to scan are limited in my area. Receipt scanning, without linking accounts, is an absolute joke; 3/4 are rejected as duplicates when they clearly are not. And trying to redeem for gift cards? Rarely do you get it right away, and half the time it takes a ticket or two - which you can't even submit until 14 business days after you request it
Am I the only one that is having trouble with the app randomly redeeming points for gift cards that you don't want? Support wants to argue with you rather than fix the issue. Also, you have to contact support to change your phone number you cannot change it yourself. Someone at support has changed my number to some bogus number and they will not change it back to my number. This used to be a great app but it no longer is. Beware, it is not worth the frustration!!!
Update 1-3-22 Would give it a -25 if possible. This is the most worthless app every receipt I scan it says was already scanned. How can that be if I go straight from the register to the car to scan? Don't waste your phone space. There are much better apps out there Don't be fooled by the new scan receipt feature. Every receipt is marked already scanned. Worthless feature. Update, now whenever you try to scan a receipt the app closes.
Very glitchy. Has always been so and I've used it for a few years. Now it will not accept a receipt that appears to be a duplicate regardless of date. I buy the same meds every month but now I can no longer submit those receipts. We eat the same thing at Wendy's every week but can no longer submit those receipts. Same for Dunkin Donut. Not sure this is worth it anymore.
Not a single piece of this app (scanning, surveys, receipt upload) works correctly. More errors than successful scans, surveys don't award your points even when they do redirect correctly, and every other receipt is incorrectly labeled a duplicate.
The app is great when it works. It says I received the points but my balance doesn't change. Please fix this.
I'm lowering my rating to 1 star because it's still telling me my receipts have already been submitted when they haven't. I'm only getting about 70% of the receipts I'm submitting.
Cashed in reward points over 2 years ago. Never received the giftcards. Tried contacting support several times, never heard from them.
I cashed in at the beginning of march,still have not gotten my amazon prizes yet. I've contacted Custer's customer support and they said that they sent me my prizes yet they never did. And it's not in my spam folder. Email them again and no response and it's been weeks now. Same thing has also happened to my friend. No response whatsoever
One of the worst apps of its kind! Very poorly executed, poorly maintained. Do not waste your time.
OK I don't know what's going on with this app but I'm irritated I updated and it still will not capture my receipt I don't understand and I'm about to delete this app and Ive had it for a long time. Every time I try to use I have numerous problems whats going on with this.when fixed will give more stars. Disappointed 😞 Still can't scan receipts why?
Us to be a good app. Now there seems to be more problems every day. The receipt part forces the app stop and most of the scan in store says I am not in the store. Still waiting to see if anything gets fixed before I decide whether to uninstall
1/18/22: Finally sent my $1 gift card more than 2 months after redeeming my points. This app is really not worth the headache. 1/4/22 : This app does not pay out anymore. Don't waste your time with this one. Still waiting for my gift card after redeeming my points in November 2021.
Interested to see where the app is going and if it actually pays out, but right now I can't fill out the 'about me' quiz to start taking surveys because the 'next' button is broken, and the support option in the menu is a blank white screen. Also, some reciepts won't scan, they'll only say 'doesn't have enough information' no matter how clear the image capture is, or 'this has already been scanned' even if it hasn't. If the app gets fixed, I'll change my rating.
The app hasn't worked right in over a month. I keep getting failed to connect. Refresh and same thing! Tried uninstalling and reinstalling no good! It will scan once than not for the next 3 or items. Keep getting told they're working on it but in the meantime we're losing points for all these things, which makes you wonder why we even have the app or mess with it!
There is something wrong with this app every time I open it to scan a receipt in it closes. The system tells me it has a bug and that I need to update once the developer fixes the issue. Ok that's been fixed, but now it tells me receipts have been scanned and that is not true. I taken them out of my wallet to scan. I don't know what's going here now.
