well when it works its fun, however, I can't count how many games I've been kicked from to play a ad. Once you lose connection thats it, no way to find that person or challenge them again. If you have Facebook friends that play chess then this is a good app. I hate the star system aswell, there needs to be a pay version that gets rid of ads, the best thing I can say is it's cool that you can pay vs anyone in the world, it even shows their little flag, HOW CUTE !!!!!

The game is fine & easy to navigate. It requires a fast network. Something is very wrong with this update. It can crush during a game and sometimes when you start a match playing black, the opponent's pieces in white never moves like s/he didn't play ant when time runs out, it can be recorded as a loss. I played 108 games and won 85 lost 6 and 2 draws, the remaining 15 were recorded as lost games due to the system failure. I truly hate it but I have no option. It is still the best. FIX IT.

Cool game, but lots of bugs. The game is very well designed and even includes the analysis mode. It's very user-friendly as well. It has a huge potential to become better if you correct the following bugs: 1) the app closes after an advert finishes, 2) occasionally I would not have started playing, but it already says "you lost"/"you won". I hope this is useful.

The developers haven't updated this app in a long time. Now the game is crashing every time you find someone to play against. You can't play a whole game. I gave it 2 stars because it has great potential to be the best chess app. Literally. The layout is great, the stars you need to play a game is free and easy. Almost 0 ads. Nice graphics... But it's totally garbage if can't play a game without the app crashing. I need to delete it. It's useless.

I would say the app overall is decent, I don't like that I need stars to play a game and I've also had issues where I would be in the middle of a match when an ad would pop up and after I would close it out the match would he gone. After these incidents they aren't recorded as a win or loss. As if the match never happened. I also feel there should be more themes. Other than the problems listed, the app runs smoothly, has correct mechanics, and is easy to find opponents.

It's a great app. But there are some problems which need addressing such as it does not reward you stars when you win. It always deducts your stars regardless of win or loss. There are instances where the app freezes and you cannot move anything even when it's your turn. The number of emojis is too limited to enable expression of feelings I recommend addition of some more. The ranking of players is random and unjustified; beginners top the ranks.

The online play is laggy, then it cuts you out of the middle of the game for an ad to bring you back to the main screen and can not return to the previous game before. Taking your stars for nothing basically. One more incident happen, as soon as I started a match it move my pawn for me and i lost that match. Other than that good graphics and I LOVE the challenges.

I'm okay with ads, don't get me wrong I like playing for free, but I hate getting kicked out of a match because it wants me to watch an ad, and then counting that as a match I lost. My record would be MUCH higher had I not been kicked out of matches just to watch an ad. Not to mention it makes me have to watch another 3 ads to get stars to play. Summary: it's free, and fun when it works, but very glitchy and will probably screw you over.

There are hardly any players online... it takes ages for it to find players. And when they eventually do (min 5min waiting) , there are so many glitches. You make your move and it resets, doesnt allow you to play. Then you lose for not "responding". They need to fix these, I wadted a lot of time on this app just waiting. The only good thing about the app is the training feature as it is very comprehensive.

When the app is working correctly, it's an awesome international online chess platform. However, here recently chess matches will suddenly go to commercial and close the game out and reopen to the main menu. Once this occurs, there's no way to find the player you were playing or recover the game. Super bummer when there's an intense match occurring. I've searched for a fee to pay to rid app of those interrupting commercials but I've found nothing. Sad because I love the platform, user friendly.

It's now run with ads ads ads and you have to watch about 10 before you get an actual game. It takes so long to find a game where the opponent responds. ads ads ads. My previous rating was 4 stars and the comments were as follows: Good game, stable app, little lag, just wish it was in 3d because the apps with 3d graphics don't seem to run as smoothly as this dose. It's now 2 stars and uninstalled.

Pls let us know why does the play with friends option does not work since yesterday. It's totally messed up. Besides the game crushes up every now and then. And you don't win stars when you win a game. You people have best concepts yet you don't have a team to maintain it properly. It's such a crazy experience to play in such difficult and testing conditions as your system keeps on crushing. Please fix the bug and revert back to us.

Way too many glitches! Sometimes it moves my pieces for me. Other times it won't let me move at all and it times out, letting the other person win, and other times it just quits in the middle of the game and goes back to the home screen, making me lose. Fix the glitches and then maybe I'll play again. Uninstalled.

I really liked this app alot, it had some good features other didn't have like tutorial mode and the endings challenge. The online aspect has always had troubles however with lagging and disconnecting. For the last few days, the app won't even open anymore, which is the last straw for me. I hope the developers fix whatever technical issues are plaguing this app, because otherwise I think it would be the best online chess game on the app store.

Overall, the game is great ... smooth controls and clever artifical intelligence. But the online mode has an unacceptable error, sometimes the ad jumps in the middle of the match and after my return I lost the connection ; know something worse ... it was a loss . Is that a joke ? I'm not Kassparov or chess master , but I did not spend nearly 10 - 15 minutes playing and then losing the game in such an instant .

Do not get this game, multiple times I've played and mid way through advert pages pop up and end the game! Honestly do not, I repeat do not waste your time playing this absolutely awful system. Such a waste of time. Nearly about to check mate this opponent, oh no wait it's a simulation advert about candy crush which stall the game and sends you back to the home screen...Awesome

The game was fine in the beginning and then whenever I was a few moves into the match, a ad would pop up and disconnect me from the game and I lose my star I used to enter the game. This happened more than 4 times in a row. There is no ranking system, its just a random player vs you. Def would not recommend.

It takes too long to play with someone and it's always glitching and ending games and you can't play if you don't have points( you get by watching ads. Which is limited. And they don't automatically regenerate you have to be on the app to click receive 1 every 30 minutes. Or so.) So if you have 3 points and its 1 point per match and all the matches end abruptly you are SoL

... ads pops up during the game which causes the turn / star lost and game over. There's also people who sit but doesn't make a move knowing most likely the opponent will prefer to resign than wasting time. The chess pieces more and more often moves to the wrong square..more often then not. I do like the board..simple..And not a lot of distractions...animations..etc. I've accumulated 207 stars...so it does pains me having to make the decision of leaving. .. I do hope all is repaired and I can return after retracting this review... to replace it with a more positive note.

Too buggy. Keeps switching to an ad video during play. when you close video, back to main page, counts as a loss. the eats all credits. Apparently this happens during a rematch. makes the app useless. Why are there so many "players" who just let the clock run out on their first move? It's a little suspicious as this constantly eats up all your credits.

Overall a decent ap for improving your chess skills. However, too many online players are idle and do not make a move, which is annoying for players that actuay want to play and get better. There should be an option to report players who do not move after a certain amount of time. Also, there are loading glitches where you have to turn the app on and off before you get matched with a player. And players cannot connect to Facebook on the app even though it is offered. These issues must be fixed.

The only thing this app has going for it is it's interface! The app is so glitchy. It doesnt load you into games on time. It puts you on the wrong side of the chess board so you can't play. There is no reward system for winning a game. If you Win most of the time you get nothing and are left to watch a 30 second ad to play one game or wait half an hour. Most of the time I am left the wait till the time runs out on the match because the game hasn't loaded the other player in. very frustrating

Great app, 1v1 player mode is great! Not sure what you changed but videos pop up randomly now during a game and then the game screen is lost. I lose stars when this happens and game progress which is really frustrating. I haven't checked yet if I lose the games that get interrupted. I voluntarily watch adds for stars, why are you forcing me to watch videos, lose game progress and stars?

Hi team, its a nice app. Good interface. But one bug is found which is irritating. This game is supposed to connect the player to another single online player. But I am getting connected to multiple players at a time. So I couldn't enjoy the game. Game stops automatically. Please look into matter. And this happens not only single time but 8-10 times per day. Hope you rectify the issue. Best luck.

worst chess game.. sometimes advertisement pops up in online game and the game gets disconnected. How the hell is this an online game if it can't maintain simple multiplayer idea? In the new version,another huge problem is,u may lose a game suddenly whereas nothing like checkmate or stall mate happened,in fact time is still by your side. From nowhere, it shows, you lost the game.Seriously? Develop it correctly,dude. Worst chess game ever.
