I always get an error code when trying to select rewards and what not. Have to sign out, or close the app or delete and reinstall to get it to work correctly. Also (a BIG concern) book for one price on the app get to the hotel and they try to charge MORE and argue about it. Very frustrating. If you do not pay attention (so at check in look VERY closely at what you are being charged huge chance its MORE). I have been charge MORE but have been so exhausted I didn't notice until later.
The app is easily to navigate and understand. Its great to have a company that actually rewards you for loyalty. Will continue to use this app as it is easier to do booking for myself compared to calling and waiting to receive a confirmation email to verify if the reservation is correct because I have a hearing issue and cant always understand the person on the other end. Would recommend this app to anyone who is booking because you can also compare prices to other options in the area.
Good app, interface works and all that. But gave 4 stars because I am unavailable to search for level 2 & 3 hotels even though the site states they highlight them for going above and beyond with their green and eco friendly programs. So it's difficult to find a hotel that aligns with my morals via the app when wanting to book on the go.
This app is very user friendly & easy to navigate. I use it to search in the area's I'm traveling for a hotel and it will show the rooms & their amenities, hotel amenities, their range of rates, as well as interior & exterior pictures of the hotel rooms & property. I can easily check my past & upcoming stays & see my points I've earned. I also appreciate the fact that I can see all the promotional deals and sign up in a snap!
Customer service is absolutely amazing. Some hotels not so much especially management. If there is a problem do not hesitate to call customer service to resolve the problem. They will provide more than expected. This rewards program is the best I've ever used and provides so many things. It's worth signing up for! If you travel for work I would recommend this rewards program.
Still Just updated & still can't see pictures of the Hotel to look at! Was Great app! But now Hotel pictures don't show up & header is jumbled up with name & act info can't read it! Easy to use & choice has great benefits! But App can't see what hotel looks like! Have to use computer! Needs to be fixed! 🤬😎Can't see what I'm making reservations for! Can on BEST WESTERN & GET MILITARY DISCOUNT! DONE!
I travel for work full time, so I am in hotels every night. I have used choice hotels for a long time. The app works well and it's a nice rewards program. The reason it's 4 stars instead of 5, is because of the new update. They force you to update or you can't make a reservation, and the new update makes me log in every time and then I have to type in a verification code that was sent to my email to finish a reservation. I'm sure it's to help their bottom line.
I had an issue at a Clarion Inn & Suites in F'burg VA. They are just one of many different Choice Hotel brands. The instant I talked to a corporate rep. they immediately contacted the hotel owner on my behalf who then immediately contacted me. Everyone from the initial call until the final resolution went above and beyond to make sure that even the slightest thing was right. Just the way they work with/for you makes the app worth 5 stars and a download.
On a recent trip I had previously booked reservations in three cities. Unexectedly it was necessary to make ammendments. At first I thought of calling each motel but decided to give the Choice App a try and glad I did. After a few minutes on the app sitting in my motel room I was able to cancel and make the new reservations and a few minutes later received a confirmation email.
This app stop taking any of my credit cards suddenly after the update. Extremely frustrated and I don't have the time to CALL the customer service. We'll just get our hotel reservations at elsewhere.
I've been using Choice Hotels app for a number of years. I've made reservations while sitting in the parking lot, went in and my reservation was already there. Not a fluke, I've done this numerous times. Its also nice to get a free night every once in a while.
I think it's more the company than the app but it does false advertising. It states on the app if you get so many points by staying so many nights you become a certain status as a member and you supposedly get all these free perks one being you can check in 2 hours early or two hours late or free but when you call to try to set that up they tell you there is a $50 charge even know you were at the highest standing status they have! They just want u to spend $$
Horrible app. Always stopping, not being able to connect to server, not accurate on prices or your points. Choice will not stand behind their app. I've booked before on the app and reservations come up missing. Horrible phone service also. Wouldn't recommend this app or choice hotels in general to no one.
No real savings,prices are always higher than other apps,some hotels are dumps,and you can usually tell which ones are, because they try to charge your card before you arrive. Points help out at times,it use to be a good deal,like everything else it has declined.
Sometimes the promotions aren't clear or fair. If a person stays at a Hotel for a Week, they should get more points. And when we stay at the same Hotel it shouldn't be counted against us. Because It's a Great Hotel to stay at. I've Enjoyed the Choice Experience.
Not having any luck getting anything taken care of, what happened to choice hotels?! Called and was on hold for a half hour and was 75th in line! Sent a message and no reply. Keeps saying update username and password which I did but still says it when I sign in. Used 32,000 points for a $100 gas card and it came in the mail as a $25 card. Something has seriously gone wrong with this chain! Not going to use them anymore if this is their service after well over 30 years staying in their hotels.
Love this app for making my reservations. Never any problems or hiccups with the hotel "systems" not having my stays on-file. Plus, most of the Choice Hotels I've stayed at have great staff and well-kept rooms. Hope they continue to keep this app as user-friendly as it is.
Terrible handling by Choice Hotels. Choice Hotels made a big mistake and they're going to waste your time covering up their mistakes. The truth: 1) Choice Hotels have created a new app. Your old app can't interface withe new app so you have to download the new app. 2) Choice Hotels screwed with their wifi at their hotels so there are also issues about access to Choice Hotel's wifi too. Just start over with the new app. Period!
I rarely download apps because they are often so difficult to use, that I find, I can't even order a hamburger. This app is so easy, that I never hesitate to open it just to see if there are any deals in the next week. All the info lines up in a logical way & there are check marks to move to the next screen. It offers the choices on a perfect list & allows me to view all the pertinent info for each hotel. I never miss a promotion because they are presented in a way they cannot be missed. GREAT!
Constantly trying to screw you out of hard earned points! I tried the "Stay 2 nights, get one free" promo but nope, they didnt honor it. They explained "you need to stay at two different hotels, two separte times in order to recieve this promo" thats false advertisement. It says that nowhere in the promo. So far ive stayed 11 nights and only recieved 3000 points.... The call centers is in the philippines so theres no luck understanding them or them understanding you! Im switching to Wyhndam....
It's the easiest way to book hotels all over the place. If I could book a room after midnight for that very night it'd get a 5 Star. When I'm traveling thousands of miles I drive until I can't drive anymore and then I get a room. If it happens to be after midnight when I book, it comes up for arriving the following afternoon instead of that night, with no option to do otherwise. I know, that's not "normal". Neither am I.
Very unhappy. Arrived about 4. Room ready and clean. Bur equipment in room not good. Refrigerator began making high humming sound. Called front desk to ask them to send someone to turn it off as we did not need it. An hour later I took a shower but could not style my hair as dryer did not work I called front desk asking them to send someone to fix or shut off refrigerator, and asked for a hair dryer. Nothing was ever done. No hair dryer. Air Conditioner has loud rattle. Don't stay here.
Unfortunately, not all, of the Choice hotels I've stayed at are very clean, friendly, n deserving of recognition. 1 of them even had mold! At most, the breakfasts have been fantastic, n the staff have been so friendly n nice, especially the Comfort Inn Boardwalk, Ocean City, Md. ALL of the staff there, including Ashley, Maria, n ALL of the front desk employees are absolutely phenomenal! Their work ethics n attitudes were exceptional! This has become my favorite place in Ocean City! 🤗🙆♀️
It's buggy. I use finger print login but it always asks for my login and password after a successful fingerprint scan. For the longest time, I was stuck in a verification loop. It would send an email verification, I would click on the link in the email and then when I would go to use the app again, it would say I need to verify again. I finally got around this by verifying through the website.
