I wish the full app was free! You get some things free because your child's class is on it but after the year ends, that's it until the next year if the teacher uses the app. The app is great to communicate back and forth quickly with teacher's and to stay up to date with what goes on with the school throughout the year.
This app is great. As both a teacher and a parent I love the options of being able to switch profiles easily to stay up to date. I don't use all of the options that are available but what is most important is the communication that is so easy to see who has read your messages and the availability to assign work for students. It was a great site before COVID -19 and it improved greatly after.
I Love that you can know everything that's going on with your child's school, also that there's the option to communicate back and forth both publicly and privately through messages in the app! Such a wonderful app, do like that there's a few other things you can do for the free version, like give your child "rewards" if they do this or that, would be nice if it was all free beings the schools are using it, but overall it's a pretty cool app!
Never loads anymore. It's had all the updates and only app that does this on my phone. To get on it I have to uninstall and reinstall every time and it works for the first time opening after installing, then goes down again. Really frustrating when it's the main form of contact with class teachers!
class dojo used to be great but now it constantly wants you to pay to use. I hope the schools will use a different app next year. With all the pop ups to pay, it is easy to miss messages from the school. I can no longer see her dojo points which has cause is not to be prepared for the dojo point parties. Today she was supposed to bring a game to class but we had no idea. I still can not find the message that informed us. The app is definitely not as informative as it used to be.
Great way to stay involved and up to date with your child's school life! It gets you connected directly to the people you need to be talking with to help your child succeed. Helps with many other things like behavior reports, classroom pictures and work they have done. All around awesome app! every parent should have this!
Easy communication with multiple teachers all in one place and depending on the teacher, some great moments captured that you might not see otherwise. Paying for more features is an option but I like the free version just fine
Never really been a fan of the app, but since it the way our school predominately communicates I have persevered. Latest update I can't open my kids profiles and it asks me to login even though I am, but then the login page disappears asking me if i am a student, teacher or parent. Notifications are nearly non-existant, and I have never received a notification for a message from a teacher
Its a cool concept but I can't believe y'all constantly shove premium membership in my face and I can only access like 40% of the app on the free version. I shouldn't get notifications about photos and posts if I can't even view it.
I love this app. it makes it so much easier to communicate with your child's teacher. Not to mention how easy it is to keep up with current events and activities. LOVE IT!!!!!❤️❤️❤️👍👍
Convenient & simple to use when checking in on your child's progress. However, I wish some of the special features were included without costing so much extra. Other than being able to message teachers directly, I don't feel like it has any advantages worth the high price.
I love this whoever invented this program thank you for giving parents/grandparents/caregivers a great way to stay connected to our amazing Salt River Elementary teaching staff. it's just like we are right there in the classroom assisting with our kiddos. I have 3 children on class dojo an 2 have IEP's so definitely a game changer in keeping us all on our toes an connected. Especially during the pandemic. So God Bless you all & thank you for all that you do & have a great Summer😁👍
I enjoy getting to keep up with what's happening with the kids. Though I do wish we could enjoy the app in it's entirety without having to pay for it. I have a hard time understanding why they would charge for something when there is income limitations on Head start and obviously the children cannot help you pay for that though I'm sure they would like to be able to see it all as well. In general I do like the app though.
Edit: the app now wont allow me to add activities to my oldest childs profile, and hes had his the longest! Just a money making app. Schools get kids invested in it but then parents can only see all the info if they pay for it. Its not always easy to navigate either. Edit: New update has made it even more annoying to add any home work. The camera auto comes on the front then the flip to the back doesn't always work. Took me 10mins to upload 1 photo due to how it responds. It's an awful app.
I love seeing my kid at school♡. I would prefer to go "SEE" him for special events... like plays, parties, and field day. One and done parent... and elementary experiance due to COVID is lame! However, this app and teachers sharing images of special days... it is better than nothing. I dont like that this app propaganda is to upgrade to be "more involved" with your kid.
In "Points", only the first 9 characters are shown for each skill, which is too short. Would be great if longer strings can be wrapped to two lines, or if the full string can display as tooltip on long press.
Totally cannot load the app since yesterday!this is seriously annoying!! I can't even open up the app!! Why I can't view the message?! It's keep on saying no messages, yet I received the messages.. something is really wrong! Please fix it. And the loading is Dame slow compare to last time.
I absolutely love it. It is the best way to stay updated on what the kids are doing an see the activities that they do and you are able to see the excitement on their faces. plus kids are always "Hams" when it comes time to take their pictures. Plus if you need to communicate with their teachers or the teachers need to communicate with you this is the easiest way. Some times the old fashion way of phone calls don't always work. I have had Class Dojo since 2016 and I have not once had a issue.
Latest update is awful. I can't see the comments, viewing the points is more difficult, it loads very slowly and the constant pushing for the paid version is irritating. If it wasn't for the fact I have to use this for the school I would uninstall.
I DO NOT like the most recent update. It's ugly and confusing. Put it back the way it was. Hopefully my children's teachers will stop using this because I can't stand looking at it anymore. The thing I loved most was the simplicity of the app. I could click on my child's icon and see her points for the day/week, see her percentage for the week. Now everything is jumbled together and I hate it. Do you seriously think this is an improvement?
Not liking the new update! I can send the teacher a message but when the teacher messages it pops up at the top of my phone but won't let me see it when I open it. Also when I open it it scrolls all the way up to October messages, (it's April!)!
Great for communicating with our sons teacher but I do have an issue of another teachers posts coming up on our story ever since the app was installed and we don't even know this teacher and they are not at our school. Posts are showing from even before connecting to the app but cannot send messages to this teacher. Just want to be able to remove this teacher from our story but no option to. Apart from that everything else is good
I have had so many problems with the app through out the year I'm so over it, I can't wait for this school yr to be over so I can Uninstall, I never get notifications when the teachers message me, when I notice they did I try to open them and it says no messages, like, not even the old ones. It's so slow I'm just annoyed by it.
Only use the app because it's the main way school communicates with us. It's buggy and slow. It frequently claims there's nothing to see on school story - even if you're following a notification to read something! When scrolling back to find an old story it struggles to load them and shows the welcome to your new class message as if you've gone all the way back. When it then catches up with itself and loads older stories, they appear above where you've scrolled to. Updated to say: still rubbish
Class Dojo is a pretty neat app. It allows you to communicate with your childs teacher anytime. Your teacher can share photos of special events or celebrations(my favorite part). You can talk to the whole class or privately with teacher. Your child can also share with the teacher. I do however wish there were a few more features. Still a great app.
The idea of this app is brilliant but in the past few months there seems to be a huge push to pay for the plus subscription. As parents we use this app to see what our children have been up to at school but now you want to start charging us to view pictures of our own children, which is terrible!! I really hope that the school moves away from dojo as it seems everytime there is an update you can see less and less unless you want to pay for the subscription.
It's a nice app. for the most part. it's frustrating to only have ability to send messages to only homeroom teacher and not others (we have a small school and need to communicate with many of the teachers for projects, etc.). Sometimes reminders get posted on the wall and they get lost if there's a lot of activity it would be nice to have a key word search button to find older posts.
