CLZ Music - Music Database

I've been using Music Collector for at least 20 years to Catalog my CDs and vinyl collection. It does everything I want and more and is super easy to use. I've recently converted to Music Connect, again, really easy to use. The CLZ app is fantastic, I have my catalog with me whenever I need it. The support is especially good - always very responsive and helpful, and the CLZ developers are constantly working in improvements - updates are very frequent and always bring new functionality.

It's a very slick app and has simplified a chore I thought was going to take a long time. In the space of an afternoon I was able to catalogue almost 300 CD's. The ability to export the database from the CLZ cloud is a great feature.

both the mobile app and the desktop software are very well designed. the desktop software also has the advantage of being able to play music directly from your collection if you actually have the music in an appropriate format MP3, flac, AAC etc. it would be very nice if the mobile app also allows you to do this. mind you for this feature to work on the desktop the files must be available via your hard drive or local network. not as impressed with the web-based version it lacks advanced features.

I've been using the desktop version for years, but have avoided the android app because it doesn't handle Classical Music in the way that the Desktop version does. With a little tweaking to the way I do things, I got Android to work well with every kind of music, and it is convenient to have a good snapshot of my collection on hand. Happily for me I bought the app on the old terms - with free upgrades for life - Collectorz keep their promises to existing users. A helpful and honest company.

I have a very large CD collection and over the years I have bought double titles. I needed to inventory all of them so not to rebuying the same.CLZ Music fits all my needs. Initially I was having a little trouble getting it going but the customer support has been excellent. Every email question that I sent support I got a quick response. I have been using the app just for a short time and I have noticed how robust it is with all the information that the app gets for you. This app is a must have.

I have quite a large collection of albums and keeping their details in some sort of order is vital if I ever want to be able to find stuff. Initially I used the app on IOS and when I moved over to Android this was the first app I installed on my new phone. Its must be 8 or 9 years now that I have been using CLZ and during that time my collection has grown hugely. The app has handled the amount of data really well and syncs beautifully with CLZ Cloud. You have a fair degree of control over how you manage your data as well as the ability to change the appearance of the app. This means you can have your collection displayed in a manner that makes sense to you. One final point. Over the years I have had to contact CLZ customer support 2 or 3 times. On every occasion they have been excellent. They have always responded quickly and courteously and have resolved every problem I have thrown at them. They offer the best customer support of any app developer I have used. I recommend this app wholeheartedly.

Changing my review from a 1 to 5. Had and issue, emailed customer serivce and thoughts have changed. Good app and easy to use. Lots of nice options to use for viewing you collection and inputting info on an album. Not sure if I'll get the subscription, my album collection doesn't grow much over a year. For those that do have a larger library I can see it being worth it.

Very good app on the whole. I have thousands of CDs and wanted to update/upgrade my old card cataloguing system. Most CDs I can just scan the barcode - like magic. Some you have to put alternative information in for. Very few I have to enter information in for fully. It's a godsend - syncs to cloud and looks amazing when I browse through what I've got. No more rebuying of CDs I've already bought now, either! Great invention. Deborah

Just like the other CLZ apps I have, this one is very smooth and the user experience is excellent. I have had no bad experiences with this app and I'm glad to have had purchased it early on. The one time I have had a problem (which was because of me not fully knowing all the app functions), the support was really fast.

Love it! I am using it for our vinyl collection. I can customize the genres and add multiple genres, and then when I access the files from the app, i can search by genre, artist, etc. I am impressed by how many vinyl albums are in the database, even the obscure albums. I tested about 5 different vinyl record apps and this one is the best and worth the annual fee. Also, their customer service/support folks timely responded to my questions when I was learning about the app.

So far so good. I am pleased that most of albums I own are present in the CLZ database.

Great program. Take awhile to enter all the CD's but it will be worth it.

I loved the CLZ movies package, so decided to catalogue my CD's on the mobile as well. The main 'Pleasant Surprise' I got with 'movies', was that I didn't need to download cover pics onto my phone, using-up valuable room...they were taken from the cloud or, Internet somewhere. I'm hoping that the same is possible with the CLZ music app. if so then I will return to update this rating to a five star! 😁

This is a Great APP. It zaps the CD details straight from the BarCode and then syncs Online. data can be edited but It's very quick to build your music collection and it's great to have to your library in your pocket. No more duplicate CD buys. Great support also when you have questions or suggestions. I'm really enjoying this experience.

Am I missing something? Seems all this app can do is keep a list of records you enter by barcode. Not sure if that even works -it didn't have info on the ones I tried to enter, just wanted me to manually enter it and update their database for them. The only thing the online service adds is the option to purchasing the same service for other stuff you may collect. To pay $15 a year doesn't make sense when there's lots of options out there that can do this and more for free.

The CLZ Music app is an extremely useful tool. I use it to catalogue my music collection. CLZ enables me to very effectively search for a particular artist, composer etc, and to keep tabs on my extensive CD collection. A minor problem that I had understanding how a particular application worked was very swiftly resolved. I highly recommend this App to anyone seeking to accurately catalogue their collection.

Well worth the money for the full version. I have the comics, music, games, and movies apps and they are all perfect for collectors. I used to use excel and other database software, but this combined with the web version is so much more efficient. Couldn't be happier!

It just gets better! The only difficult part of using CLZ Music has been the addition of multi disc and compilation albums. Each disc of a multi disc compilation would have to be sourced and details added individually. Not any more ! The CLZ team have added the multi disc feature which recognises multiple disc entries not only for new additions but will upgrade existing entries in the database. Well done you guys, looking forward to the next innovation !

This is a great app. I initially resisted getting the desktop app because there was no companion mobile app. Now the mobile app has almost all the functionality of the desktop version. Having the data on my phone keeps me from buying stuff I already have and is great for quick reference.

Very expensive for what it is. No inbuilt import or export tool, you have to use another of their products with only a 7 day free trial. Advertised price of 15 USD yet are charging UK customers GBP 14.99!!!!. Since when has there been parity between the USD and the British Pound??? Data quality poor as it relies on what others have inputted rather than querying a third party reliable and comprehensive data source . You search for an album and get presented with possibly a dozen versions of the same album, many containing mistakes. Backup to their own cloud primitive, no ability to backup to cloud space providers.

I have had this program for years! Always know what I have and is easy add to it in just a few seconds. I have 340+ vinyl in my collection. Support is awesome!!! You cannot lose buying from this developer. Monthly newsletters to keep you up- to- date with updates and new releases.

The best cataloging software I've come across. I've been using this for more than two years now (music, books and movies) and I find each invaluable, particularly the mobile phone apps when I am shopping. The support team are friendly and helpful as well.

Great app, which we've found really helpful to organize, find and locate music with. When I encountered a small issue with the app I contacted their support and I received fantastic help from them on a one to one basis, by someone who genuinely seemed to care. top marks

Love this app! Have lots of cds so price is very fair. Very useful. Sync works great too, and keeps your customized changes too even after syncing on a different device. Customer service was very helpful too... If I could I would give more stars. Thank you Alwin for all your help getting my account fixed and working.

These database programs are such a great find! I just inherited a large library of book and vinyl and want to share them with my communities, but could only imagine how daunting it was going to be to inventory, catalogue and upload, but with CLZ I inventoried more than 400 books in 2 days, and have already had success sharing, so cool! Just expanded my subscription to include music and its even easier and faster adding albums! 😁❤❤❤CLZ apps.

I have been a fan of their PC-based software. Now the mobile app version makes things so easy, and it still packs a whole lot of the full-fledged software version. It is really the best CD or digital music library app out there, in the whole world!
