CodyCross: Crossword Puzzles

I downloaded this game 2 days ago and so far I have no complaints. Some puzzles can be easy or tough depending on how much you know. The music in this game is very relaxing and sometimes it even makes me dance a little bit lol. I love that there is no time limit in finishing a level or certain amount of moves. In my opinion, this game is very relaxing and I learn something new along the way. Best part is, not so many ads!!! You only receive 1 ad after every puzzle completed.

I've been playing this game for years and its gotten better through time. You guys are awesome.🤝🏼 I'm really hooked up with the daily challenges. I love the daily password you added recently. Amazing!👏🏼 I wish if you could add more of those. Also from the mini quests, specifically, more of the one's that you have to challenge yourself. Those ones that you can't miss because the whole puzzle will be wrong. Wow!👌🏽 I'm loving it, hugely!🤩

The game is very enjoyable. I like that you can pick the different levels that you want to play. I realize companies need to earn income the number and frequency of these ads are a bit much. Biggest issues are 1. The number of ads that interrupt the game 2. The duration of the ads that interrupt the game 3. The fact that you can't x out of the ads without going to Google store is annoying as all can be.

Don't get me wrong. I really love CodyCross. I'd rate it a perfect 5 if only for the fun factor and the developers' diligence. Problem is, I think the developers got too diligent. The Missions used to be just 2 at a time, now there are 3, and there are just too many items in each mission. I barely have the time to play the standard 20-set worlds anymore because I'm too focused on finishing the Missions before they expire. Please hit the brakes on this. Some of us have regular jobs, you know.

I like the game. It's fun and at times challenging. I like that there are different types of puzzles to play. One complaint would be that some ads require you to press the x or escape button four (4) times!? to get back to the game. It's annoying. Otherwise good game.

Nice main game with a lot of extra crossword games along with it. I'd like it to be harder, but still you need to think a lot. A good game for people who have memory troubles like me. I forget a lot due to age 😁 After level 20 I noticed many of the words repeat but have different clues to them. Ads are after each game and not bothersome. Worth the download but I wouldn't pay for it. Make it harder and it would be a 5 star game.

Codycross could be a great game if it weren't so insecure. After playing several levels, I am frequently ask "was this a good puzzle?" "is the game too hard?" "can you please rate us?" "did you know you can change settings in the menu?' If the game stuck to being a game and didn't make me take a survey every time I played, it would actually be pretty good, but until it changes, it will never be more than an average game with confidence issues.

Game is slowed by an excessively long time to load the app (uncached animations?) and the loading stops and waits for you to click a start button halfway through loading in order for it to continue. Then you have to click again and wait for some nonsense about a chest emptying in order to finally get to a screen where you can select a game. While you are playing the game an icon of a camera with the word "get" appears and blocks your view of the game until it is clicked. Ads aren't bad though.

This is , for me, an enjoyable game with lots to do; I give it 4 rather than 5 stars because of the way ads are deployed. I don't mind them as a rule, and there is an option to pay to remove them. I dislike the way they pop up on the keyboard while you're typing, and the ones that say skip video, but it doesn't skip anything, you still have to wait for the x to appear. Other than that give it a try.

I love it. Even if I don't know all the answers they have the letters drop from other words that help finding the others easier. Very few ads. Fun and can keep me busy for a long period of time. Enjoy that it works my brain when I don't have much that does these days.

I enjoy it. However there's a lack of words. I've just entered the second chapter (under the sea) and I've has 'dreams', 'Indian', 'legend', and 'bookcase' at least 10 times each. There's thousands of words (thousands I've had 3 times) out there - please vary this more.

Absolutely love the game. The ads are long but I can deal with that. My biggest complaint is some of the ads don't have a close button or the "X" is so far in the corner that you can't get to it without needing to hit it many times before you can get to it.

Great game ... I especially like the "password" daily puzzle. Wish there were more of them, like a category. I think $9.99 per month is rather steep to unlock the special categories, but the ads to keep the help features stocked up are not obnoxious.

I love Cody Cross. I had it on my iPad several years ago, then one day it just wasn't there. I'm happy to see it back! I do miss the setup with Cody crossing over various scenery though. If you enjoy newspaper crosswords you'll probably enjoy this. I like the little chime noises when you fill in the letters; I'm happy that exists in this version too. Cody & friends are also really cute. I watch the adds to save up helpers for harder levels ahead.

Graphics are geared toward children, however, clues and words are college level and above. Very enjoyable. I appreciate the vertical word as it acts as a clue, as well. If/when my brain stumbles from fatigue (MS related) and I can't determine one of the words, I look at the mystery word and am able to determine (most of the time, given what has already been figured out) what the possible answers are.

A little challenging but what is the point of the vertical word? Kudos to the person coming up with words and their clues to get the vertical word(s) but what is the point? Filling in letters for following clues takes away the challenge. For puzzles with 7 or 8 clues, the last is already filled in.The animation for "revealing" the vertical word and waiting for it to come up in the next screen takes up too much time. Would be better as a true crossword but clues need to be harder in either case.

Not bad, but once you've spent your tokens/coins there's practically no way to accumulate more without paying money or watching an ad for ONE token/coin (which is not worth it). Also, considering all the words out there, the same ones are constantly used (which gets boring). Lastly, a lot of the clues are either not entirely accurate or just plain bad. Good thing started here, but could be a lot better. (8 months later, no improvement)

Great gameplay and a really polished UI and overall experience. Love the books and learning a little something while playing. Really appreciate that there are not lots of flashing icons and timers and such on the home screen that distract or rush. I don't normally write reviews but this really is worth rating.

Been playing for a few months already. Fun tasks/challenges with rewards. Build a library, get bits of info. Several words/clues are repeated. Some puzzles are more difficult than others, some seem way too easy. Quick response time for issues.

I don't really like this type of games because they are often annoying and full of distractions. But this one is simple, and you follow a path with words related to that path... It's pretty good and simple enough despite of being made in a funny way for all ages. I myself prefer no distractions, but this one is the best I could find out there.

Gets my brain going for a few minutes, especially after a coffee. haha. Some of the questions are difficult, some are easy. I play on the Medium setting and it is just about right for me!

Lots of ads fun game ads are freezing. Game is telling me I have no internet connection BS. Fix this pr I will uninstall. Just finished playing same ad over and over freezes up every time tired uninstalling. Unistalled. Don't waste your time with this game garbage. I've been playing this game for a long time nothing wrong with my device. Uninstalled and reinstalled same result with the game video's won't play to get bonuses. Ok tried again uninstalling this game and all fanatee games.

the game is okay. it works fine, looks good and isn't hard to handle. still there are a lot of questions whose answer don't count as general knowledge and terms that are inappropriate (such as indians or eskimos). the questions sometimes are made more complicated than they had to be which can be super confusing and even tho the design is more childish the questions aren't, you should make the questions after age instead of just general ones. I still like playing the game, it is fun.

Really like this game but, had to give it two stars, after updating the app to the latest version it no longer supports split screen on my device!! (Don't know if this is the same for all devices)This is very frustrating as it's how I play the game and have done for as long as I can remember. Is there anyway this can be fixed and made so that the app is once again supported by split screen? I don't want to stop playing but I may have to find an alternative if I can no longer play it that way :(

A pity you have to manually click out of the ads to get back to the game. You need access to the internet to play this game as you cannot get past a chest without it. Annoying when one of the words used to describe the game is offline. Would be useful to know if there are any determining factors for getting extra letters

So fun and easy... Happy point there are not really any ads and that's what I love!!! You can go to whatever level difficulty you want and I think it's very good for your brain!

I LOVE this game. It adds letters to other words everytime you answer one which is VERY helpful! It also gives you lots of helps along the way. Ads are not bad at all... No ads no pay.

Wayyyyy to many ads. Its a fun concept but all of the gameplay is based around watching ads you'll spend more time doing that than actually playing any game. Im so disappointed I got tricked into downloading an advertisement watching simulator
