Colorado Lottery

For just easy access to the current winning numbers, it's fine. But the feature to scan tickets rarely seems to work. For the last several days it keeps giving an error message. "There was an error checking this ticket" What's the point in having the app if it doesn't scan?! I can look the numbers up on the web without the app. Furthermore, unlike the Co lottery website, there's no option to view latest drawing details, or past drawings. This app is lacking. It has potential if someone put some effort into the coding.

Until recently I had found this app to be rather handy. However, while the latest update (enabling the scanning of drawing tickets) should have improved the functionality it had the unfortunate side-effect of not allowing the winning numbers to be updated on it. Even when I drag down to manually refresh, or close the app and reopen it, the latest winners still are not shown. I really liked this app and want to keep liking it, so please fix this.

Very useful for scanning scratch offs to double check for a missed win. The scanner also automatically enters eligible losing tickets into second chance drawings, unless you don't set up an account. You can view winning numbers and record your favorite numbers as well as view which scratch offs have awarded all top prizes. I'd like to be able to automatically enter drawings based on my numbers I record, but overall, I am satisfied with the app and it's features!

It WAS a lot better before they changed the scanning thing. It was SO much easier to scan a scratch ticket with the old scanner. Now it is HORRIBLE. Sometimes it won't scan my tickets, other times it take 5 mins for it to find the bar code. I'm moving the ticket up and down, back and forth, side to side, close as far, turning it, bending it......every possible angle. Then FINALLY, it finds it. Then it's on to the next one, and repeat. FIX THIS PLEASE!!! How back to the old scanning thing!

The app rejected my password, so I clicked to reset, but it said there was a server error. I reset my password through the website, then received another reset email from the app. Now I'm logged in and try to scan my tickets, but they won't scan. I've been trying now for days, and the scan feature doesn't work. It seems that they launched this app without vetting it completely to make sure it functions. A bummer.

Great app! Interactive ... Love second chance tickets plus the scan code option to know if you have a winning scratch ticket is awesome.... I don't play Lotto or Powerball but if I did it's great because you can see the winning numbers of each drawing.... plus the final feature that I like it shows each scratch ticket that is available in the state and it shows you how many remaining top prizes are out there for each ticket so you can play the ones that still have top

The app is easy to use. Though the ticket scanner has trouble reading the tickets most of the time. Also it doesn't tell you how much you win like apps from other states. it would be nice if it told you how many prizes are left for scratch tickets. Overall It's not that bad of an app and it enters you automatically into second chances.

Slowest app in existence. Takes forever to load, closes unexpectedly, when I click on my saved numbers it freezes and I have to close out and reopen. What is the point of this app if doesn't do the one job it's supposed to do- check your numbers against the winning numbers. It shouldn't be this frustrating 😡.

The scratch code bar scanner is not working at all. I've cleared the catch and data and Uninstalled and reinstalled it and everything. My friends isn't working either so they must be having some problems internally or something. It's just a black screen with the red line through the middle but it doesn't move.

The app used to work great. Now I open it, it blinks and then renders only a gray screen. It's essentially non functioning. I unnstalled and reinstalled it several times. No luck. I uninstalled it permanently.

Attention Developers! I also keep getting error messages that another updated version is available, but only this app comes up in the Google play store. I even tried searching for the new version, no results. (Galaxy S9) I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as suggested, still no solution. Please fix this. Your app will quickly lose all credibility and users will doubt your reputation of reliability if this bug is not fixed, and fast.

This app is useful. The one thing i don't like is it always opens up with the scanner. It takes a few pushes to change it to the games screen to check for numbers and jackpot amounts. It would be helpful if this app would tell you how much you've won when scanned.

Do Not Use to check Powerball numbers! On multiple occasions I have had the app tell me my ticket is not a winner when I have matched the Powerball number. Without that functionality this is useless. I have no idea how many winning tickets I may have thrown away. UPDATE: Make sure you keep the app updated. An older version will give you a false negative. Once updated the app did say I "might" be a winner. Interesting wording.

I use to enjoy using this app because I would get updates to any and all lotto information. As of recently it does not work the same. I tried to scan a ticket and it didn't give me anything. I even made sure my camera access was on and that the app was up to date and nothing. Then I tried to change my notifications and the app completely froze and informed me it would not allow me to update my settings. Pretty disappointed in how this app is working now.

App used to work. Hasn't worked since early November. Jackpot games won't load updated info. Scanning tickets kept error messages. So I logged out. Now can't log back in. It keeps "timing out". Cleared cache and cleared data, now it's worse. Please update the app, im missing out on 2nd chance drawings!!

Its very handy and i love it. however i wish they would let you know if a ticket has already been cashed in or not and to give your winnings value. Also it would be helpful to have a little more detail on second chance drawings; like how are you notified if you have won, and will they contact you until they reach you or do they just skip you and give it to some one else...? Otherwise this app is wonderful and im so glad i have it. Being able to re-enter for second chance drawings brings hope!

I loved this app for scanning scratch tics, and also checking lotto numbers. I'm having the same issue with a white screen and nothing loads. I did uninstall, and also went to app settings, it did not fix my issue. And I also haven't gotten a new phone, so that's not the issue.

I would like more feedback from the app. Show the winning numbers and the ticket numbers, highlight any matching numbers. Having the app just say winner or not a winner and not able to confirm that the app scanned the bar code correctly, is a suggestion I would like to pass to the developers.

Good app, but you need to improve it to allow in-app ticket buying. It doesn't make sense going to a physical store but ticket then check later on the app. People are busy and look for convenient apps that they can do everything on it. Check IL lottery app and website to learn how they are doing. Better improve it otherwise useless, its digital age make use of it, everything can be done online.

Use to be good but now I can't get it to let me send a message to them, log in, sign up as a new user, or scan scratch tickets at all I only get errors now every time regardless on wifi or mobile data. This all has some serious issues. Would have given it five stars before I had to download the newest version on my new phone.

I can never get this app to scan my tickets or scratch offs. When I lived in Texas and used the Texas Lottery app, I never had any issues and had a lot more options. Since I end up having to check for winning tickets without using the scanning option, I might as well uninstall it!

10/5/19 Updated: 5 stars again. The people who operate and maintain the app were kind enough to get ahold of me personally and work out the issues mentioned below. Everything works now and I'm pleased. (previously:) As of the last update, I'm not able to use the app on my Samsung Galaxy S9. The app opens then closes immediately. Prior to this, everything worked great. Please fix and respond. Thanks!

IT WORKS!!!! GOOD APP Just downloaded it now n read reviews. Everyone saying that it does not work, may be scanning the wrong barcode. You have to scratch off front of ticket to reveal correct barcode. I have had no issues at all.

It used to have a much better in-app barcode reader/scanner, nowadays you've got to sacrifice your first born and scan at just the right time of day before it **might** decide to scan and give you a proper result. Other than that i like seeing remaining top prizes and what not.

This app is very easy to use and navigate. The only drawback I have is the fact that when you scan a scratch off ticket using the barcode scanner,it will notify you if it's a winning ticket or not but it will not tell you the amount you one. Other apps from State lottery's I have used will let you know the monetary amount you have won.

I love this app!! Mainly because I get to enter the second chance drawings for nearly all lottery tickets!! Also I really like the confidentiality and convenience option of the notifications not only of winning numbers from previous game drawings from all Colorado lotto drawings from weeks prior, but also notifications straight to my email if I won the second chance drawings or not!!! ☺️ Thank you Colorado Lottery!!!!

This app is awesome, before I downloaded the Colorado Lottery app I was randomly picking tickets not knowing what my odds of winning were. I wasn't even sure if all of the top prizes had already been claimed yet or not. With all of the information available to me in this app I've increased my win/loss ratio. I feel a lot more lucky now that I have the app. Oh and I can also scan my tickets to verify if they are winners and if not I can enter the losing tickets into a second chance drawing to win

I love the feeling that some day, I could be surprised to find out I won a second chance drawing because I took the time to easily scan the barcode on specific games I enjoy playing. Like..I'll get a call asking to talk to me, my heart already knowing I won as my mind races to catch up as the person on the other end is telling me I just won the second chance drawing... ...That's life changing stuff right there!

Having used a lottery app from out-of-state prior to this one, comparatively, this one is total garbage. It's janky, doesn't tell you how much you won, does not recognize EZ match Cash 5 winnings. Above all else, just extremely difficult to scan tickets, readjusting, moving the angle, the distance, then close it and try again

Samsung note 8: app started crashing randomly. I had to uninstall it and reinstall. *edit* Yes, uninstalling and reinstalling did the trick. There were no messages the app simple hung on a white screen upon start up. Sometimes it would show the title card, but usually not. I had attempted opening it several times before just reinstalling the app.
