Contacts

It takes a considerable time for the contacts to search entries. Some times it could be as long as 20s. In addition, in my redmi Note IO it takes a long time for the CLI to appear. I think both those problems are due to a problem in contacts App. Please leave a Solid offline copy all contacts in the phone memory. If there is one already make it more accessible.

No option to display only contacts with phone numbers, one of the most basic features in every contacts app in every other phone I've ever had. Unfortunately, my new phone came preinstalled with this garbage with no other option but to take my chances with finding something else in the play store. The fact that this app is missing one of the most basic, common, and necessary features is a huge FAIL!

It's a pretty decent app, but there are many other apps on the Play Store that are better than this one for managing contacts. The main issues I've experienced with this app are: 1. No option to save a new contact to all of the accounts I've configured on my phone to sync its contacts (e.g., Outlook), 2. The app fails when identifying and when merging duplicate contacts, 3. The postal address is not saved in the defacto standard format for contacts, 4. Field labels are not language-independent.

Contacts keep disappearing. In the last month, my contacts will be saved, but mysteriously vanish, they are also not syncing properly. As a result I am currently needing to carry around a physical notebook with my contact numbers just so I can access them when I need them. Please fix this issue it's causing significant frustration and inconvenience.

Ruined by the new huge bottom bar. Giving so much display space to something that you shouldn't have to use that often 'Fix and Manage' is a complete waste of space. It means I can see fewer contacts at a glance. Having a huge contacts button in a Contacts app is terrible UI design, you shouldn't need a button like that. What's the use of a big display if unnecessary UI elements take up too much space. These two buttons should be removed asap. Put them in a side menu or user image menu

Contacts phone book filesystem. Googles take at it shows linked open key chain software in Settings/ your info - exactly what i want. Samsungs take fails to do this for its user profile, only when approved public key is linked to one of my accounts, i see open key Chain link which in either case fails to present necessary info and rather appears empty.

Hi, Thank you for the contacts application. As a suggestion, is it possible to design the application in dual? And aspects such as access to the audience and the memory used, etc. should also be dual. For example, in any dual account, only the audience of the same account can be accessed. This feature is available in Telegram, instagram, WhatsApp and others. It is very good that this feature is also created in this contacts application. Thanks a lot

Totally useless app. There no option to delete multiple contacts. Even there is no option to merge duplicate contacts. Worst app. I have to use it forcefully. Very inconvenient.

BEWARE! I just paid $10.88, including tax, for the "Exceptional" ad-free option advertised in Google Contacts. After the PayPal payment went through, I was dismayed to discover that every time I opened a contact on this app ads kept on loading. Do they think that I got my law degree from Trump University? Absolute ripoff, having received nothing for my money. I suppose I will have to contest this with PayPal and try and get my money back and consign this lying app to history's garbage heap.

The app is good but the only issue I have with it is that it doesn't allow me to add emergency numbers for some reason. Who will honestly go to settings to change the information or call the helpline. I just want to be able to go to my contacts app and call from there. Please add this functionality as it makes my life easier. I am using Realme XT - Android 11

This god-damned idiotic app has now decided that the only contacts I have are the few--six, to be exact--that I have added since they changed it to show only those "associated with" my Samsung email, which I have never used, and did not even know existed. Why the hell is a contact associated with ANY email??? It is a list of PHONE NUMBERS, DAMN IT!!! Took the phone in to the Verizon store, and they restored my former list, but now I do not trust the app at all, so only added two stars to rating.

When Searching for a specific contact when writing its name ex: (HRL Rizwan) it doesn't show on the top of screen.after tying the name you have to scroll down to find it. Can't understand why oppo removes it's own app for contacts . Wrost experience. should be updated much more

I've changed my rating from 5 to 1. Why I put 5 star first? We can add birthday and sync with Google Calendar. Why 1 star now? The date format before was dd/mm/yyyy, in mid 2021 they changed it to mm/dd/yyyy without making our data match the date format and messed up the overall years of managing and adding data to it. I can't trust this app now, maybe after few years it'll change date format without making our data match or mess up the name or custom fields. Please boycott this app.

Hey Google team I am kinda disappointed on the theme I mean it's looks so normal and old fashioned and lame(personally I feel like it's a medicinal app..hope you understand). I wish if either we could customize it or you could make it a bit cooler and the blue and white colour combination doesn't look good in my opinion ( if it matters). And same with the phone app of yours. Hope you find this review useful and do the necessary changes in them. And there is not an import or export option.

UI seems too childish. Like made for children or old people. Please add option to choose which page opens on app launch. I would like my favorites page to open so I can quickly dial them. The keypad is atrocious. Make it more minimalistic, round instead of oval so that more height is available for each number.

App is good but sometimes its starts lagging like when conferencing the call its take 4-5s to connect and call history showing is also very bad and one more thing if i had to call from another sim there is no option of that, for that i have to go to settings and then set to it......... Call history is also not showing under the number ,we have to open another tab for that, its soo complicated, kindly fix these issues..

BEWARE the BLOCKER! You might accidentally block all your best buddy's calls if your finger comes near "Route To Voicemail" in the settings for just that ONE PARTICULAR CONTACT(!!!) I finally found and pushed the button to UNBLOCK my friend, which was called "Unroute to Voicemail" (?!). It's one of those buttons that says what you want, NOT how it is at the time (e.g., it shows "on" when it's actually off but you may want to push it on, "off" when actually on but you may want to push it off).

It's shameful that my contacts are stored in this app, and Seems I'm not receiving sms messages from individuals. Secondly, almost impossible to reach someone at google to clarify resolution. I just want to utilize phone I pay for to my leisure. Hate being policied

Since recent update on the bottom of my contact screen there is a display (which is large) with the word contacts on left side and fix and merge on the right side. This nonsense permanent message notice takes up a lot of my display screen. I have nothing to fix or merge. This is pointless and very irritating. Typical google. Updates after updates for features that are stupid. Google offers no support at all. Fix the app!!!

Those who think that Google contacts app works only online keep in mind that it also works offline. So if you were used to using the built in contacts app on your smartphone you may loose your contacts even if it's synchronised when you reset your phone to factory settings. Synchronised failed on my phone. I lost lot of contacts after factory settings and signing in with my email. In short it's better to save your contacts on Google contacts app offline and online.

Doesn't shows labels (groups) from imported contacts (while the Phone app, also from Google, DOES correctly SHOW them in its contacts list!). Labels only appear in contacts manually created or edited. Of course, for importing/exporting labels and keeping original vcard numbers formatting you also have to resort to a better third party alternative.

I've just finished moving my contacts, and so far the experience has been commendable. The interface is sleek and simple, and the sync feature is very helpful as well. Keep it up.

Worst experience, after inserting second sim, Google has backup my contact list and spoiled my whole contact list. Now it's showing only number and last name on display. Why you are spoiling the contact settings

I always hesitate to update, and made the mistake of doing it. Now editing contacts is messed up, the edit window is collapsed to about 1 mm in height, I can't read when I'm editing, it's more or less useless now. Is there a way to uninstall the update of contacts and go back to the last version?

Functional, does the job. Unfortunately one big negative that has cropped up recently is that there seems to be a bug that deletes birthday dates in the contact details. And only to some not all. Very weird!

If we rename a contact. It should be renamed across all platforms (whatsapp,signal, etc) which is basic functionality it is not working. Also the process to edit a contact is very difficult. Even when l rename contact old as well as new name is saved. This is very dissappointing from a reputed company like Google.Send from Google pixel
