Great for what it was designed for. The spell list/spell book feature especially. Didnt even know some spells existed. Ads don't appear to be too intrusive I think. Though, the more I use the app, the more apparent 1 flaw in particular is. All the characters you create are on 1 page/list. Having the option to seperate them by campaign in a folder or something would be much more convenient. But that's the only real issue I have with the app, though it's minor at best.
The app works great, the display is intuitive and comfortable. The only flaw (if you can call it that) is that you can't see AC, but I've used the "temporary hit points" part, which is not used often. But I understand it's probably being developed, so it's okay. Anyway, I love the app and look forward for future updates
This is a great way to keep all of your character's information in one spot without having to flip through different sheets of paper. I have not worked with the DM side of the app yet but as a player using it, it is by far the best app I have found to replace my notebook of characters and powers. Note to Dev: Looking forward to the equipment stuff getting done.
I love this app, but I had to give it a 4 stars because transfering devices is not obvious. I tried to look in settings, the help section & the FAQ Section, and I'm not seeing any options. It's frustrating to the point where I'm basically using texts to copy info I put for the characters, paste it into text messeges, send it to the new phone, and finally paste that info into it's required places for the same app on a different device. I'm lucky to be fortunate the old phone is usable to do this.
Very useful and well designed but my only problem with it is some of the buttons design. The heal, damage and shield buttons looks more like titles than buttons and even the adding powers, feats, etc. buttons, the magnifying glass with a plus in it, is confusing because mostly when you see that symbol it means to zoom in. Strange choice on those designs.
This has been a pretty good substitute for the old 4e character builder. Some features are a bit unintuitive but it works which is what matters.. My only real issue is that I can't seem to find paragon path powers anywhere and had to fill out a custom one. EDIT: that worked, I missed that that was a selectable drop-down. Got it now.
Inconsistent save functionality. Some edits automatically save, some prompt you to save before exiting, some do neither. I've had to redo character information twice before i realized this, because the stat pages don't do either. Initiative tracker is unintuitive. But the compendium of information is amazing.
Super solid... exept that I cant change numbers for things like skills and armor class. Other than that its just that I cant add equipment, but from other comments it looks like you already know that lol
Spent 30 minutes just trying to upload a character portrait when creating my character and it would not work. It wouldn't allow me to go back to switch between different sources when I chose one. Also it would not allow me to edit my modifiers or edit my skills. It's too bad because it could have been a great app.
The biggest tip option doesn't remove ads. This app ended up being a complete waste of money for this reason. You'd think that spending over $8 would be enough not to have to deal with ads. It's a shame because otherwise, the app has promise. This renders it unusable for me and I feel cheated. Luckily Google immediately approved my refund.
Easy enough to use and has options for 4th and 5th edition. The creators have done such a great job so far and the app is still improving, so aside from a few glitches and annoyances, it really is a great little helper.
Love the app so far however having a small issue with the new wealth that was recently added. Trying to increase or decrease the amount ofgold, silver, or copper most often results in nothing happening or taking several attempts to get it to change.
tried a few other apps similar to this but i prefer the layout of this one by far. all in all worth the tipp. *edit* all current issues have been dealt with, thanks for your constant updating & listing to user feed back this app has simplified my sessions & i cant give it enough praise when talking with other players
Pretty good. I would really prefer that 3.5e gets added sometime soon, as that's still the more popular of the editions currently. 5e does get played by my group on occasion, so that's a great thing to have; but 4e is not and I don't think that one was ever as popular as 3.5e still is. Other than that, looking forward to seeing some more updates, keep it up!
This game is, bar none, better than any other app for DnD purposes, even the iOS apps. Other than racial traits that need to be entered manually, all powers, feats, etc. are included in encyclopedic format (already errata'd for your convenience!) to allow you easily customize your character. Powers cite the respective sources. Ads are non-intrusive, homebrewing is easy, and if you have any issues, the developer has been quick and helpful in his responses in resolving any issues I've experienced.
Without warning a loud video ad starts playing, waking up everyone in the house. This is not an application you'd expect to need to mute the volume for. It then promptly freezes, refusing to allow me to pass the ad. Uninstalled immediately.
I use this app on a daily basis to make sure my characters are ready for my weekly session on Monday. I had some suggestions for the app and the Developer was very responsive and prompt in replying to them whether it was for more information or to let me know it was a good idea. One of the best app on Google Play for D&D 5E. Highly Recommend.
This app is THE business. My friends and I have been playing D&D for years and we have gone through app after app because they just didn't cover everything. Then we found this app and I believe that this is literally the best informational and most complete resource that I have used since the ACTUAL character creator that WotC created for 4th Ed. AND HE IS STILL DOING UPDATES so that may change too. You can even remove ads for 12 hours by watching one add. Keep doing what you do man. GOAT
I really love this app in terms of using it for all my spell managing. Additionally, I appreciate that you constantly update and improve your app! A few things for improvement: could you add a fumble chart to the cheat sheet? That would be very useful. I'll add suggestions as I continue to use the app. Thanms again 😁
Works great. My advice to people just downloading it; there are titles that are buttons to much more. Took me forever to find the Character Sheet.
Best character sheet app ever! I've used nearly every D&D character app out there, even the paid ones. thus one works better than anything I've ever used before. The developer is even responsive to questions. That this exsists makes me so happy, and makes the world a better place.
The best FREE app of its kind. Easy to use and intuitive. Got all my characters, items, spells, stats, and encounters organized!
My other review is due to my own ignorance. I've used ALL 4e apps and this one is the absolute best! VERY intuitive and LOTS of love and time injected into this app and it shows! ty to the developers! I'm gonna go download everything you guys have developed right now!
Works great, adds are very minimal and not very intrusive, it has some great features. My only problem is that navigation the can be a bit difficult and can take a bit to understand how to us all the features.
