Love the content and the comments to the articles. I've been a loyal user of this app for 8 years. The ads have gotten more intrusive over the years to the point of rendering the app unreadable. The app itself is terribly buggy. Sometimes it will be fine for periods of time, them there will be an "update" and the crashing will start all over again. I would pay to have a no ad version but apparently this is not an option. Update: As if it wasn't bad enough, now ads stack up on top of one another.

Love the wide variety of news, some editorial mistakes are common but the content is very largely accurate. However, over the past few years, ads have become more and more invasive. I realize free apps have ads, but there is a full screen "timed" ad on nearly every page these days, some not "closing" when the "x" is pushed. Now, with this update, every time you close app/turn phone screen off and then try to pick up where you left off, a new ad will greet you - wastes a huge amount of time.

I like the app. Love having the news around the world in one place.The number of articles. All in one app. I love being able to choose what categories I prefer. Like being able to change the font size. But the only thing I truly can not stand is the amount of ads. It's really bad with ads. It doesn't matter if you click stop seeing them. If you click repetitive. They come back relentlessly. I would pay a small fee if possible just to not have to have ads. I'm going to have to uninstall.

For some reason, the developers give you a choice of black text on a white background, or grey text on a black background. Why no grey text on a white background or white text on a black background? Why have grey at all, even? It used to be passable as a news app, despite the typos and grammatical mistakes from their so-called journalists, but now it's been ruined by intrusive pop-up ads, and a massive panel in the middle of every article advertising a service called "OldPustule" or something.

Update. This app is worse than ever. They are now making ads that look like content popups all the time. It is false advertising that it has 4.6 rating This used to be a good app until they force you to look at all their ads. You can't even scroll past them without looking at them for 10 seconds at a time. if they go back to the way it used to be then I would reinstall it but I would encourage anybody that has this app or anybody thinking about this app to get rid of it.

Although the news coverage is adequate, I have been unable to watch any of their videos. I have cleared my cache and reinstalled the application, rebooted, and everything I can think of. No success. There are many other people complaining online about the same problem. However, after months of frustration, they have done nothing to correct the problem.

Love the app, the content, etc., but finally deleted it for good because I was so sick of the constant ads. No one should have to watch a 30 second ad because they want to read an article or look at a picture.

Reading is now more difficult you used to read a story and then you could select the next one from the right hand side and it would open up. It is also a nuisance to have the same sentences repeated multiple times at the start of each story.

My favorite news site but the ads have gotten out of control. The latest upgrade makes it so that the ad at the bottom of the screen will randomly pop up and take over 2/3 of the screen. I think I'm going to just go back to using the website and deleting the app.

I find that it isn't just as smooth as I'd like, taking time to buffer, and sticking more that other apps, I accept adverts as I feel this app does give loads of breaking stories, with always lots of information, pictures. There is a really good mix of news, especially for me having Adhd, always kept interested. I read stories not on main news channels, like medical experts thinking tories no longer care about covid. BBC hadn't written a word about the story. So the experts r prob right then. 😂

Used to be good got news from everywhere however the amount of ads is mental. Not just in the header and footers but lately a full screen ad every other story. I'm gonna uninstall and find a different AP for my news. 0 stars if I could

I don't feel as though the stories update quickly enough. Can be mid morning and still looking at stories from the day before. Also stories are being duplicated within the same news feed.

Toxic amount of advertising X impossible to read news articles as interrupted continuously with video streaming adverts A mess thankfully other free of mass advertising of news available. It's not the need of media to use advertising but this App content overloads you, think advertising show with news interrupting adverts. Pop up newstand would be more appropriate title....plus reviews seem pot luck if posted even if your content moderate and meets all its rules. Your review won't be posted.

It is giving itself permission to access and alter your phone. It will turn on permission to access your phone, text messages, turn on Bluetooth etc

Way to many LONG pop up ads. Very annoying and time consuming. Will be seriously considering if I still want this app - while content is good, the ads are really annoying and much to frequent -

My phone is muted yet these pop up adverts start and have a loud sound. This needs to be stopped, it is disruptive. I have no control over the advert and then it suddenly makes noise.

Right NOW, there's an ad that covers 90% of the screen, whether you're looking at the homepage or at an article. I can't even look at your app...I guess I'll Uninstall until advertisers no longer revive priority over the ACTUAL ARTICLES I'm here to read...

Use to be good. Now sick of seeing the same ad every time you watch a video.Now the latest update won't let you open the next item in split screen list of articles without going back to main page.This update has not improved the usability of this app.

DailyMail has always been one of my favorite newspapers. It's open, unapologetic, raucous nature is a light of hope for Democracy in these dark times. Content is accurate and they generally don't shy away from fringe issues or perspectives controversial to the mainstream. Cheers from America!

loved this app until the last update. the pop up ads now cover more than half the page. it's annoying, frustrating, and impossible to read now.

The most frustrating thing this app does is that you often hit reply to comment and it will post as a standalone comment. This often puts things way out of context. It dud it on my iPhone, it now does it on my Samsung. It's a fundamental flaw.

I like the content, but have reduced using the app maybe 95% because of the ridiculous amount of adds. I really hope there will be a chance to pay the adds off as otherwise I will be most likely stop using the app.

Enjoyed the content, but obnoxious ads appear every few seconds and hijack my phone, so I will try The Sun's app. There is a difference between profit and sheer greed.

Have had this app for over 10 yrs. It has always been my favorite & go to for the latest news BUT recently the ads have become RIDICULOUS!! They force you to watch 2 or 3 with every article read!

I used to love the mail app but the amount of Harry and Megan articles is becoming ridiculous, while I'm certainly no fan of theirs and nor do I dislike them it's ridiculous to see so many articles on the same day, day after day and I have no interest in them what so ever and think I'll stop using this app now and delete it

Latest update doesn't open news item in landscape split screen as previous version. Real pain to keep having to go backwards to view each item.

Hijacker. This app hijacks your phone and makes you watch an ad after reading two stories. Then does this over and over again. It's just awful and has ruined a once great product and organization. DON'T DO IT!

Way too many ads. Constantly putting out propaganda. I do like that they include a lot of videos and pictures.
