Deezer - Songs & Music Player

The app is OK, even if the flow doesn't add a lot of new (unknown but related) music. BUT ! The network management is awful. When you loose network connection for a while, the app open a modal popup saying loading has failed. You have to open the app and click on the popup to try reloading the next song. But when you are running or skiing with your phone in the backpack, it's very (very) annoying ! The best thing to do is to put the stream on pause while network is down, so I can start it again with the play button on my headset when I reach a good 4G connection place. MODAL POPUPs are evil ! Playlists are repetitive, the "made for you" section shows playlists still a bit far from my taste, despite I provide "likes" and "dislike" from years. The widget is a black rectangle, no corners, cannot change its size or set transparence. Also, still some stability issues, the play button sometimes does not work, and I need to restart the app in order to make it work.

The app is full of bugs on Android: for some of my playlists it keeps going back at the beginning (top of it) making the scroll impossible, the flow doesn't really work well if you want to reinitiate it (especially if you cast from a phone to another device), ... most of the time I have to force stop the app to find a solution. Not great

I've been using deezer for a fair amount of time (about 7 years). I do not recommend it, the only reason I'm still using it is because I have a bunch of playlists on there. Every time, even though the monthly payment goes through I experience several lags as if I didn't pay. It keeps happening even though I've changed my credit information in case it was a card problem. Other thing is that some songs stop in the middle for some sort of "error" and it's been months. Shoulda went with spotify

I use this app everyday but it could be improved in so many ways. It's unsteady. Sometimes it won't load your Downloads or an album you've downloaded before, it's unpredictable. When you switch from an account to another you have to be online too -I've spent entire journeys on the tube stuck with the wrong account. Then, & this applies to Deezer and not only the app, the Flows are simply bad, especially compared to Spotify. There must be something wrong with the algorithm, they have no coherence.

the app is great, but there are some minor bugs and incoherences that makes the user experience less attractive. For instance when I add an album to my favourites from my phone, it only adds it on my laptop's deezer app. Also and thats the biggest desapointment for me, there is no tab, menu, or anything to view all the latest releases from my favourite artists. I only add artists to my fav. to get notified when they release an album.

After several weeks of usage... Superior than every other app I've tried. Easy to find artists, songs and albums. Seems to have every song ever produced, and I've a bizarrely wide taste in music. Clean logical layout to the app. I can actually find what I've listened to in the past (unlike Amazon). The SOUND, even with the basic plan, is obviously better than most others. It can even access the equalizer on my phone unlike most others.

Being an audio nut and recently upgrading my DAC & Headphone amp setup, I've been on the hunt for a decent high quality audio streaming service. Went through all of the other competitors and there was always something that just didn't sit right with me feature wise. Decided to give Deezer a go and it just works, hifi audio, massive music library, simple easy to use interface. Can't grumble at all!

Generally excellent but the 'shuffle' feature needs work as it tends to repeat songs too soon after you hear them the first time...even on a 200+ song playlist you can hear the same song within 30 minutes of hearing it the first time. Not cool. As Steve Jobs said..."you need to make it less random to appear more random". That means include some logic to stop songs being repeated within (e.g.) 100 songs.

Two serious and annoying flaws in your otherwise excellent app: 1. User Interface: end of most song titles are cut off, so it is impossible to distinguish it from the others that have the same earlier part of the title (especially frequent with classical albums). 2. Default addition of downloads to "favourites": Downloaded albums get automatically assigned to my "favourites" list. Only I should decide what are my favourites.

About everything regarding your app is fine. It's even fairly easy to navigate once you get used to it. But the shuffle feature on the play button does not work at all. When I want to shuffle my songs and not play them all in line, I press the little shuffle icon on the play button and nothing happens. I've seen other people complain about the same thing and ask advice on how to work the thing. Fix shuffle button, please. That's annoying. Also it'll stop playing and ask to "retry". Please fix.

Can't live without my deezer. Been a subscriber for years. Honestly, I'd rather go without electricity or food for a week than not have my deezer for a month. It's the only app I use worth paying for. I read some of the other reviews here and seems most complaints are device based or users who don't read or learn the app function. Like new music discovery, there is nothing better. I have found mountains of superb new music with deezer I could not have found any other way. Just superb.

Error failed to play. Over the last month this has been my experience of this app. I've had issues before where music would skip like a cd and eventually it worked out after deleting and re downloading the songs and app. As someone who pays monthly for this these constant Error failed to play messages are ridiculous. Ruins the mood when it constantly cuts out. Looking online I see this has been an ongoing issue since at least 2018. Fix this and my rating would be 5 stars.

Deezer has been great until about 1 month ago, when I play a song it sometimes will play once or twice then I will get error message saying "cancel or retry" then I can never play that song again, other times I'm not able to play a song at all, keep getting the same error message. I Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, it worked for a few days, its doing the same thing not playing music.

Having used this and Spotify, Deezer is a million times better. I'm a customer for life. Been using Deezer for years and I'm very happy, I'll never switch. The UI is extremely user-friendly in comparison to Spotify and it's got all the music you could want. The subscription prices have come down, so the value for money now is awesome. I was also very impressed to find a Deezer app on my Samsung smart TV's app store. Nice! Highly recommend it.

One of my issues is the 2 apps, why the need to have a separate app for 360 reality audio? This second app is very limited on options, can't create a playlist, can't addusic on a queue and not all songs are available. No Dolby Atmos support. However, the main app is pretty cool, but if I'm paying for and extra, i want a one stop service.

The flow is great. Amount of content is beyond great. But sadly that doesn't make the app good. It clitches, doesn't load songs, cuts in middle of the song or simply refuses to play them sometimes. I have used this for years hoping for a fix but sadly there still isn't one. You got three stars mostly for the content. Keep at it!

I have used this app for a long time. However, recently I ran into a few issues. Starting with not being able to play my downloaded music in the download tab. Now today (19/05/2022) I am unable to play any music. A message came up when I opened up saying my subscritipion had an error. I logged out of the app and logged back in, the same issue came up. I want an explanation for these errors.

I'm really enjoying Deezer so far. The sound quality is good and the app doesn't have many bugs. I have very few complaints. One thing I did notice though is that when you go to select your birthdate, the date shown after you select your BD is always a day before, no matter what you do, so you'll have to pick the day after your BD for it to show your real BD. For example, if your real DOB is 03/02/1900 and you select March 2, Deezer will show March 1 for some reason. But not a big deal at all.

Nice app with a few unique features but there are a few details that degrade the experience. Most importantly is the lack of synchronization between devices. Just do it like Spotify does, please. Also the transition to offline mode is a bit rough, the app will constantly show a message reminding you of what you can't play instead of just not giving you the option to try playing it. I also miss the option to switch to mono audio, which I frequently used when sharing wireless earbuds.
