Each time I order a meal there is something wrong. Either it arrives late, or it is cold, or it misses something. Now I am in the situation where they cannot validate my orders. I have to wait 45min to get the notification that it was canceled. I have sent e-mails, they do not answer. If I cancel the order myself they recommend to contact them through the app which is not possible. This was my last use of the service of these convicted delinquents (towards French criminal law).

It's a good service in theory, and in practice when it goes smoothly. But I've had too many issues over the past year or so from very late delivery to cold food and wrong orders. It gets quite irritating, when you use this service because you're hungry and it's easy, that your food doesn't turn up for an hour and a half. Customer service are helpful but they won't reimburse or offer any credit for the inconvenience - even if as in my case the food arrived so late I didn't want to eat any more.

I use the app every week and I only recently had issues with delays in delivery but the support team is very responsive. Highly recommend, even for food shopping if you are lucky enough to have some good options in your area. I agree with another review saying that it would be good to encourage restaurants to put pictures of the meals as a lot of them don't do it.

Every single time I order from my account, there is always an issue. Either the orders take too long to arrive, either there are no riders or simply because Deliveroo is incompetent when it comes to dealing with customers who aren't French, doesn't matter if they're well paying. Unfortunately, some restaurants are only available on Deliveroo, so I have to use this app. Otherwise, I would avoid using it altogether.

This app would be great if they ever accepted my payment. I keep getting payment errors and it cancels my order, then I have to manually put all my requested items back in the cart. No fraud alerts from the credit card company which make me think it's something on Deliveroo's end. I eventually had to switch to UberEATS after none of the troubleshooting steps worked to get deliveroo back up and running.

Changing this review from 2 to 1 stars and uninstalling the app. Won't be using this service. Ordered McDonald's and it took an exceedingly long time to arrive (I think almost 2 hours), arrived cold and Deliveroo didn't provide a refund. Instead of a full refund I received a credit valued at $4.99, which was about 10% of the total cost of the order. It's better and less risky to use Uber Eats or Door Dash. I've had a few too many negative experiences with Deliveroo to warrant another try.

Absolute rip off. The food is usually much more expensive through deliveroo. Aside from the food being more expensive they then add on a delivery charge, they then add on a service charge, and sometimes they even add on a packing fee. Food costs around twice as much as it would if you collected it or even ordered it for delivery from the eatery directly. Ordered once because I had a promotion, but they charged me full price after the transaction and it took over a month to get a refund.

App and website needs A LOT of work. Constantly crashes or has "back soon" on every restaurant. Can't imagine vendors appreciate paying to be on here when customers are frequently unable to place an order or even view a menu. From a customer perspective, paying a service fee on every order to 'keep the service running' seems a bit superfluous when the service is so often unavailable.

Perfect app if you want to spend £20 for a meal for one, have half the order wrong, and the other half stone cold, and get a £2.10 refund for the trouble. Don't bother with live chat either, you just get "sorry, there's nothing else we can do". £18 for a bottle of Fanta tonight, and this was my third consecutive order from different restaurants/stores that was wrong or problematic. Never had a single issue or wrong item from Uber or JustEat, I'll be sticking to them from now on.

Used the app a few years back (2018ish) and it worked like a charm, now it's filled with lots of little bugs that add up to a subpar experience. Needs some polishing, for example the live chat sometimes endlessly thinks your message is "sending" if you send the message after exiting iut of the app even for a split second. Another one is that when you try to send a picture to live support it takes three tries for it to actually do anything. The last issue is that GPS loc. Of drivers is very wonky

They will give you vouchers with a lot of discount as a beginner, but when you'll try to use them, they will make you pay the full price without you even knowing it. Even after filing a report on this matter, all they could say is that they don't understand how that happened and the voucher is still available, but your money remain taken from your account, full price! Worst first experience, don't recommend it.

Orders are consistently late. Notifications are misleading stating they are waiting on the restaurant for 2 hours... despite the order docket stating it's ready for pickup in under 30 minutes. Food arrives cold and stale. Although a refund was provided it was roughly 10% of the original purchase price and only added as future credit.

I've had several cases of my food never arriving and I've never ever received my money back on any case. The app makes it so difficult to contact your rider or to even get help for your order though the live chat. They say they'll look into it for you then log out of the chat and don't get back to you. The payment options available also make it difficult to dispute a payment when you don't receive an order.

Not as convenient as some other apps, but have some vey good restaurants. Address selection: if you are not at home, it is not possible to select home address from some drop down list. You have to type it fully. No autocompletion. Payment options inconvenience: iDeal not supported. Credit card requires giving additional information, like card expiration date, every other time. Misleading info on some restaurants: says opens in 16, but after 16 just says closed still.

When it works smoothly it's decent, but it's incredibly frustrating how you can be midway through writing an order review, briefly flick to another app to do something else, and then not only have your draft review lost when you reopen the Deliveroo app, but you're also unable to leave a review other than in the first session coming back to the app after the order! It's also very frustrating how often the Deliveroo app needs me to log in again between using it.

The "order help" and "contact" buttons don't work, it's impossible to contact the driver when needed. And the notes to restaurant have disappeared from both the app and the desktop version, so we now need to contact the restaurant separately to signal food allergies.

Getting worse and worse - has happened several times now that the delivery window keeps getting later and later. No justification offered. Terrible customer support. One of the times the restaurant turned out to be closed, another time the Deliveroo driver drove off with the order, in both times the order was over an hour late and the only option offered was to cance It would have been much faster to walk there and get the food (which is what we ended up doing). Will not be using it again

Very bad experience overall. Have my orders cancelled multiple times and the app kept showing wrong information until I had to check with a live chat agent who eventually cancelled the order by the time all shops were closed and was unable to order my dinner. I would rate it as low as possible as I ve been going through this multiple times now.

Worst customer service support. Simple matter, half of my groceries didn't arrive with the order. I asked for a refund on the missing items as the order was over £40. I contacted customer services and was met with automated responses with no justification or clear reasoning behind denying a refund. Everytime I reached out, I was met with the same automated responses. How dull!! Clearly they're not interested in the wellbeing of their customers thoughts and concerns. Wouldn't reccomend

High commission, delivery charge, service fee and subscription... I'll just call the restaurant or use another app. I won't ever use this app again. Everything is more expensive on deliveroo than other apps due to their high commission. Customer service is also useless even for simple question like "Where can I leave a review". Finally, the fact I can get a subscription for free delivery is just weird.

Initially it says free delivery on a minimum order value and then adds it back at check out even though the order is over the minimum order value. It has happened before and it doesn't seem like being honest with the customers even if the delivery charge is small, you need to be transparent and honest and not just add the charges at the last minute.

ordered a lot on deliveroo (several accounts). Lately had several cancelled orders (no reason), late deliveries & changing delivery times, no customer service worthy of the name, no compensation for mistakes; so now an ubereats user. used to love the accuracy of delivery times on the App but now it's just nail biting to see IF we get delivered. I once called a restaurant after order was cancelled after 1hour of waiting and they said they never got it but made my food for pickup within 30min.

Says there's free delivery over a certain amount but once you fill up the basket and log in it just decides to make the offer disappear and charges you loads of price addons. Had this issue every time it says there's free delivery even if the shop is not far at all. Definitely a con to get you to fill u the basket and then hope that you'll just go through with the order despite the massive price hike. Better off using literally any other food app.

First order from Deliveroo had lots of wrong items but got immediately refunded with Deliveroo credit (which was good!) but after re-ordering from a different restaurant, the food arrived nearly an hour after the initial estimated time (and this one also had an incorrect item). Needless to say, it was enough of a bad first first experience to say it's likely to be my only use of it.

My order was cancelled and here is their reason: "I'm sorry that your order was cancelled. This is because demand is exceptionally high in your area and we aren't able to guarantee when your order would be delivered." I guess this is how they maintain a high delivery-on-time rate. Besides, my orders could also get cancelled due to closed restaurant after a long time of waiting, while the status shows the restaurant is preparing my food and I cannot cancel with full refund. 🙃
