Great app, but the fact that premium features are subscription only makes this a huge 'No' for me. I'd have been more than happy to pay for a one-off upgrade to premium; shame. Update: in response to dev feedback that a lifetime fee is insufficient, given the type of app this is (a mood tracker), the possibility of new feature inclusion is insufficient to justify a subscription. I can get the whole MS Office suite on subscription, with 1TB space for twice what you want for a _very_ simple app.

Initially I was disappointed that the app doesn't sync between devices meaning it's really only usable on one device at a time. But having used the app for a week I'm really enjoying it and so I've improved the rating from 2 to 4 stars. Include sync between devices and I'd give it 5 stars.

Generally a good app. I've been using this since 2017 and it's kept all of my entries. However, lately I've noticed that my past entries have been shortened so that I can't read the entire entry without editing the entry and scrolling down. A ... appears at the end of where the entry is cut off and I can't open the longer version any other way - this isn't ideal and it would be great if that could be changed. Other than that, decent app.

I've only been using the app for a week but I've really liked it so far. It's very easy to customize to my liking and you can go as minimal or as in depth as you want. I'd appreciate it if the built in moods and activities were capitalized, though. I went through and renamed all of them. I'd also like to see more support for long term goals - things I don't want or need reminders for multiple times a week, but maybe monthly or every X months?

The pros: - Very customizable. - Good UI - Helps find patterns - Free version is fully functional. The cons: - Asks for a subscription for an app that doesn't provide any service or maintenance. Why should I pay monthly for a standalone piece of software? - Very intrusive ads for its own subscription upsell. - Does not offer a one-time purchase to remove ads or subscription upsells.

Have used this app for about 2 years when I got diagnosed with some mental health issues. It has been beyond helpful and just an easy to use tool and became very important for my life. Love the personalization of it and is just top quality for my life and situation. And I love that you can add photos which is so important to me since I suffer from memory loss and can correlate specific experiences with words and images. Thank you!

Has been using Daylio since 2019 and has loved all the features offered. Just recently, I bought a tablet and thought I can write alternatively with my phone and the tablet. However I find the sync is not working flawlessly though Automatic Backup was turned on. Most of the times, I find my recent entries inserted with other device were not synced while I'm trying to insert an entry with my another device. Hope Daylio could offer an option to choose how frequent is the Automatic Backup eg. daily

The app has worked well for quickly creating an overview for the activities, experiences and events of the day. Only issue is: The widget for goals is useful, but the ability to check off goals from the home screen requires the widget to take nearly all screen space. If you could make the widget smaller, for example only showing the icons next to the checkmark in small widget sizes, I would be grateful. Also please remove or the thick sidebar with the daylio icon. It's a huge waste of space.

Been using for about 7 months. Very cool idea, but I don't feel there's enough range to identify larger patterns with only 5 levels of mood... there's many more than 3 levels between suicidal and life fulfillment for me that I'd like to track-- I myself am more aware of the ups and downs than the app can demonstrate with its limits. Unfortunately all these apps only offer 5 levels...

Memories is an awesome feature. Noticed that it brings up just the first entry on the day, and ignores other entries on the same day. It would be better if it could attach them all together. Loved the way the mood gets printed in the background, and the share feature. Would like if you could also add the same share feature to all the entries and not just memories. Also, I think it will be useful to have a memory widget on the home screen.

I have been using this for the last 6 months, and it has been so helpful in my self love journey. What initially attracted me to the app was the aesthetic layout and the ability to go back and edit. I decided to upgrade to the premium membership because the access to weekly and monthly data reports was too good to pass up. It has been such a great value and all of the other features I use regularly as well. I highly recommend even the free version based on the customization alone!

It would be great to be able to duplicate registries. That would save A LOT of time if one has similar entries. I have been using for well over a year and that, and maybe more emojis, is all that I think is missing. -- Love the app. It has helped greatly in keeping my records and practices straight and organized. Would love if there was a way to duplicate registries. Specially useful for practices that are very similar and close to one another in time (and the emojis). More emojis would also be nice, sure. Would rate 6 stars if I could. Keep up the good work.

One of the few apps I actually spend money on! Daylio is super intuitive and fun to use. I don't have to write anything on a day if I don't want to. I can just choose how I feel that day and that's it. I always enter 2 times a day (once in the morning and another before bedtime). It feels fantastic to see how my emotions change over time when looking down with a bird's eye view. I can make my unique emotions (e.g. feeling Zen or Excited), and that's cool too. Try it out!

it is actually amazing! I need to be honest! you can do a bunch if stuff like customize what groups you want to answer and you can set goals for yourself! it also sets a reminder for you to put in a day for whatever time is best for you! the only thing I think could be better is if a very small portion if the icons didn't need you to pay money but other than that it's pretty darn good.

Great so far, but def could have a cheaper premium I think what it offers for free is mostly great, like the core of what makes it great is there for free, some things are unlimited use and such, but some are like only 2 reminders a day? Could it be like at least 3? Also wanted to get premium but over 20$ for a yearly subscription for a single app is kinda nuts. Ads also aren't annoying, I think this is the one app where the ads didnt intrude or fill up my screen.

This app is absolutley amazing. There is no need to get any kind of "Premium" version of it, it's a fast and simple way to document your day. I especially like how one can upload picutures and make small notes, even write a whole diary entry if one wants. It's absolutley fantastic and I haven't enciuntered any disruptive ads sofar. The development team also seems very keen on helping their users and improving the app continuously. If I could give more stars, I would. Would definitley recommend!!

Excellent app. The interface is great, easy to use, no bugs (yet), and stores data nicely. One thing I would wish for is to have a scroll feature for viewing past entries. Right now I have to tap on each day then go back to select the next entry/day.

so far I'm really liking this app. I like being able to edit activities & emoticons & not having to write anything if I don't want to. it's also nice being able to set multiple reminders. looking back on the week I can see how my mood shifts, see trends, etc. just a really enjoyable, well-thought-out app.

Phi. H. May 3, 2022

It's a nice app, but the push to upgrade is getting too much, I had a pop-up about the mother's Day sale(not sure why that's a thing to begin with) after completing my activities for the day, and because I didn't interact with the sale notification my day wasn't recorded... If the push for premium membership gets any worse I'll have to look at alternatives.

Just paid for a subscription for this app thinking that it would have a proper journalling feature, you know since it's called Daylio Journal and all. Only to discover there's no journalling feature, other than a field called "notes" that's just one line tall. Seriously what I am supposed to type in one line that might be helpful? The rest of the features are pretty good but I'm annoyed that I feel like I need to find another separate journalling app or go back to Evernote just for this.
