Best Sat Finder App hands down! I've been making a living with it for 10+ yrs.. it's replaced my inclinometer 98%.. I still use my inclinometer in a tight spot to verify LOS. However, if you allow this app to load all the way before looking SW, you'll save alot of time!
Tried others only to be left frustrated, DishPointer however works extremely well and in my view, worth the price. The others use Google Earth that certainly helps in getting the dish pointed in the right direction, however they are useless if you have obstructions in the way. DishPointer uses your phones camera giving you a perfect view of the Satilite you are looking for and any obstructions that might be hindering the signal. Never so true here in you get what you pay for!
After my initial review the developer/owner was very quickly in touch via e-mail with suggested possible fixes, compass etc. After trying these suggestions the app still didn't work for me and whether it is me,my phone or perhaps my position I don't know. I asked for my money back and was refunded very quickly.
Great app when used a few years ago. All users were able to access DirecTV following with no substantial outages reported by me or my brother following use of the app. I wanted to make sure proper due is noted given the TV system in which this app was used for will be decommissioned, however app will stay on device in case other people I know have issues.
Please update the app. Have Note 9, and it just goes crazy most of the time now. Nowhere near the accuracy it had on my Note 8. Please Please update.
I am a dish technician, the app works great in my work phone (set by dish) but it is absolutely trash in my personal phone.
It's all depends on the quality of your phone's internal hardware, but works great on my Pixel 4.
app works great. make sure that you calibrate the compass if you have any issue.
it used to work just fine, lately the satellite move around as I move the phone.
I was unable to determine which name satellite was for my satellite dish. the information on the website is not the same as on the app.
im a satellite tech and had been using this app since 2013 never had any major problem ..money maker
did not show me anything special that the free programs didn't show. useless.
Please updat to include the glorh star satellites as i install those on a weekly basis

The sats move with the horizon. So apps basically useless. You can see the sat echo star 19 for example and do a full 360 and it will move with horizon. Shows the sat available in all directions. I'm on a Pixil 2 xl. Waste of 20$
New update crashed immediately. I e-mailed company and "Alan" responded quickly apologized saying a fix would be sent to the phone within hours. As a retired software project manager these things shouldn't happen but DO. "Alan" responded quickly and fixed the problem. App works correctly now. Great Customer service and as a long time customer and a full time RV'er I have and will continue to refer Dishpointer Pro to other RV'ers!!!
Lately this app causes my phone to shut down and reboot. Every time I start the app. I am a technician that installs satellite dishes and today the app was useless. Good thing I still carry my compass.
Stole my money!!! Satellites move in all directions. I can't get the settings to adjust no matter how hard I try. The free apps work better than this app. I want a refund. What a disappointment. For $20 You would think it would be easy to navigate.
Since newest update today, app no longer starts on my phone. Hopefully the dev will remedy the situation soon. EDIT:. dev was very responsive to the problems and has since pushed an update to resolve! Thanks!
It works reasonably ok, but not worth the price tag. There is no search function, the satellites are ordered by degrees not alphabetically makes it hard to locate the object you're looking for. I don't think this app is being actively developed anymore, I asked for a search function twice, the first time I got a reply saying "next version" and the second time the dev didn't respond. it's been over a year since the last update, still waiting. I've moved to satellite-ar as it's better.
