Could not be worse. Don't get me wrong, the shows are great, but it doesn't matter if you only ever get an infinite loading screen and never reach login. When it used to work, it suffered from major buffer issues. Until they fix this app, there is no point in downloading it. Not to mention, it uses a lot of trackers like Braze to grab your personal data. Examples include GPS coordinates, last name, email address, and device model. If you've access to an alternative, I highly recommend using it.

Look, don't get me wrong, the app runs great and has a brilliant collection of films & TV shows. But, you see, the app feels kind of faulty. My only issue with the Disney+ app is that whenever I watch a movie or an episode, it buffers out of nowhere. I thought it was my internet connection at first, but it wasn't. My wifi works fine. This app however, doesn't seem to read my connection much. It still continues buffering. This is definitely an issue that needs to be solved or fixed.

i have no idea why, but any time i try to watch something on my phone, i just get a black screen. i can hear perfectly fine, the audio is crystal clear, but the screen remains blank throughout the entire duration of my selected video. i've restarted my phone, undownloaded and re-download the app many times, nothing seems to help. this is super unfortunate as disney is usually my first choice streaming platform. would really love this problem fixed.

Great app with amazing original content, when it decides to work right. 4 different devices tried, none work. Edit: It has been years now and it still will not work on any mobile devices regardless of permissions granted or even when anything is downloaded. Playback is just a black screen or a neverending loading symbol. The price is too high for the quality of technical support from Disney.

Great app. However, Disney, you need to create a screen between your home screen and playing a movie. Like a title screen asking if you want to resume the movie or restart from the beginning. It becomes incredibly frustrating rewinding a movie, especially on the TV. Every other streaming service has the title screen I'm talking about. In case you need examples 🙄

Doesn't save where episodes were left off frequently. Has trouble starting new episode after previous is finished. Perpetual loading screens happen often. Terrible formatting that makes it difficult to find something to watch unless you know specifically what you want to search for. I would think that Disney would have one of the best streaming apps because of how much money they make. Worst streaming service I've used thus far.

App doesn't work at all about 95% of the time. It's just forever stuck on loading circle. Downloaded stuff doesn't play either, just forever stuck on a black screen. Clearing cache, data, or forcing stop does nothing. Deleting and installing makes the app work great... for ten minutes. Then it's back to its non working self. All the other streaming apps work just fine and have been working fine for years (Netflix, Hulu, Amzn Prime), but I guess Disney doesn't have the budget Hulu does (??).

Started out fantastic. Responsive, quick to play anything. With titles and content increasing. Was a good entertainment option during lockdown as Star Wars and marvel were needed!! But.. it's updated since then, few times. Progressively getting slower and slower to start and watch content. Downloaded movies aren't actually downloaded. They take ages to actually start playing and if they do, you dare not pause! They just stop and won't continue to play. Taken me 7 attempts to watch Kenobi ep2.

App is a glitchy, slow, unreliable mess. I can't watch my downloads and when i try to cancel or remove a download, it freezes, even after multiple reinstalls. Pure garbage EDIT: Still garbage, still the same problems, occurring on multiple devices. The only thing that seems to sometimes have success is repeatedly deleting and re-installing the app. For shame Disney!

Was a great app when it worked. It has been 1 month since I've been able to do anything. Error 42 over and over. So I deleted the app, and did a good old fashioned re-download. Now it is error code 142 (problem on the server side). Never had this issue before, but now there seems to be no solution. Even with 150m download, it says to check my internet.

Terrible performance, great content (if you can get to it). Where to start. On TV the app is PAINFULLY slow and VERY glitchy. On Macbook it only ever shows a black screen. Now on my phone I'm being told I 'might not be in the right region' despite having changed nothing. It gives an error code to report and nowhere to enter it. So amateurish it's incompetent. Think it's Time to cancel my membership.

This app seems easy to use on the surface but it DOES NOT work on my phone. All of my other apps can be slow at times depending on my internet connection but this one hardly ever works at all. It's like it takes a ridiculous amount of processing power to run it since it only works when im on wifi and I have literally every other app closed. Half the time it just causes my phone to freeze up and crash entirely. I'm talking , phone just spontaneously restarts itself, crashing. Deleting this app.

This app is utter trash. I guess unlike most other video apps they don't use the function where you can do a little miniscreen to watch while you do other stuff. Plus half the time I can't even open the app, when I do it usually won't actually work though. Signal is fine, I can go over to YouTube or Netflix and work perfectly, but I keep getting lagged and frozen and never watch anything with Disney+. Also, no free trial. Stupid. You waste all your money to find out the app doesn't work.

Unbelievable, I'm trying to download and/or stream using mobile data. It fails to start download and fails to find video. Repeatedly. At the same time all other apps have no problem with streaming and downloading any kind of file. I had exactly the same problem when I was trying to stream from mobile data on Disney + a year ago, on different device. Please don't release apps if you don't know how to make it! Give us a break!

Every time there's an update, the app crashes. Their most recent update is even worse! After the latest update, the app is still down and I still can't use it! The buffer issue is STILL a NEVERENDING ISSUE they still haven't fixed after three years... I've Uninstalled the app and re-installed it SEVERAL times over the years and it still the same. Yet, they have NO ISSUES when it comes time to collect the monthly fee 🙄 hmmmmmm...

For months now I can't use the app on any sort of android device. I just keep getting error codes. It seems to work fine on the PS4 and iPad though. I called Disney+ about it and they said they knew of the issue and a team was working on it. But it still has the same problems after the latest update. You would think for such a big company they would have an app that works. I'm getting sick of paying for a service I can't use the majority of the time, I cancelled it for a bit, but its broken

I can watch shows and movies just fine alone, but if I try to Groupwatch with my sister I am unable to change the starting episode for the watch. If my sister attempts to host, I cannot join at all. I have reinstalled the app (I'm on a tablet), cleared my app data cache, and tried switching profiles but nothing works. Edit: Still hasn't been fixed. This entire app is falling apart and I will no longer be supporting or using it.

The content is good and the UI is good. However, it makes my phone so hot that I can't hold it anymore and it loses charge, while it's charging. The app is incredibly slow to load the home page and downloading takes forever. It is by far the worst app for any streaming service that I use.

Very disappointed, it won't let me download it to my phone, on my tvs it works when it wants to, one day it will work fine the other the sound doesn't want to work, it takes a while to open at times and it's not because of my internet because other things open up just fine. I'm very disappointed got this for my son and it doesn't even work right.

Only problem I've had with it is lag. It's very hard to rewind or skip ahead, and you should expect a long, long loading pause if you try it. Films will randomly just pause to load, and it's faster to restart the app than it is to wait for it to catch up when it does that (I've personally never seen it fix itself back to normalcy once it starts lagging without closing and reopening the app myself). With all the buffering, it just doesn't have a very nice flow to it like Netflix for example.

App won't start up on my phone. Tried to reinstall but no luck yet. Hopefully future updates might fix it... Until then 1 star 🌟... After an update the app has begun to work on my phone for a few weeks. During that time I've found the app to work well with screencasting. Still in need of some user friendly features like skipping the intro and to the next episode, assuming there is no mid credit or after credit scenes. Recently the latest update has stopped the app from working on phones.

Fix your app. Halfway through a movie it is no longer playable, but can play other movies. Call the help desk with no resolve on any tier, and there is also no way to restart a movie. To try to clear what ever issues out of the cache from the SERVER'S end. I have delete my cache and data. Uninstalled and reinstalled. To no avail when this happens. The rep says build a new profile. Yep fixed the problem temporarily u til it happens again. Getting real annoying and I travel a lot.

We haven't been able to use thw app on any of our devices or TVs. We continue to get Error Code 83, which they say is an incompatible device. I cannot believe that ALL of our devices are incompatible. It works one day and later that day it stops working and the code appears. Now it has been 2 days.

Completely useless. There's no easy way to stream to your television if you get logged out on the TV. It sends you to a website, which sends you to the app. With the amount of money Disney makes, you'd think they could afford a programmer to tell them to just put a sign in button and a stream to TV button on their apps like literally every other streaming service does.

This app, despite the frequent updates, continues to get worse. It is almost completely unusable. It refuses to download anything, refuses to actually play a movie or show without buffering or never loading, and is overall just very broken. If you get the movie or show to work (which is almost never),don't hit the rewind or fast-forward buttons, you'll crash the app. Disney, despite being a multimillion dollar company, continues to dance around the true issues of their app in order to save money

Works good on my tv but does randomly close every now and then. The mobile app on the other hand hasn't worked in quite a while. Everytime I've tried to use it it just loads the blue Disney+ screen and stays like that for however long you try to let it log in. There are so many reviews about this going though them. Please fix the problem. We know y'all are just being lazy now.

It's alright, they need to make it easier to access and browse the app though. There is also another really annoying feature, which is that about 3/10 times you open the app, even with good Wi-Fi, it leaves you on the loading screen. This will continue to happen, even after closing and reopening the app, removing background tasks, further improving Wi-Fi connection, etc. The app will then show the loading screen, every time you open it. This only seems to stop happening about a day later.

Great when it works but it doesn't work. I've tri r restarting my phone. Uninstalling and reinstalling and I can pull the episode I want to watch up but it won't play. It just sits there and loads for ever. Same with downloads. It's been doing this for over a month now and it's completely unusable. I originally left my review in early 2021. It is now April 2022, new phone, and NOTHING has been fixed from the original problem. I still can't use the app. Not sure how it has an average of 4 stars

It...works. It is getting better over time. Trying to fast forwards and rewind will break the app. Movie sharing is an absolute pain. Especially if the person is in another country, you literally can't watch it together because they have different titles and some minor alterations. It's UI isn't that great either. Downloaded files often corrupt when you go to watch them without internet.

Love the content but the app is trash. It never remembers what episode I'm on in a series, so the "continue watching" list is unreliable. I always have to manually go to the show and scroll down the list of episodes. On the other hand, there is no quick option to start an episode from the beginning if you have watched some of it previously. Some other problems as well. Overall just slow and clunky compared to Netflix features.
