I like using the app. The main reason I like it is because of the points system and the ability to customize my orders. The point system allows me to use points toward food quickly. You dont have to save points up forever &or have hundreds of them, to redeem them on something decent. For example: I earned enough points with my very first order, to get a free medium pizza.
Quick and (mostly) convenient way to order affordable tasty food, but not without problems. The worst by far is that the app won't tell you how much things really cost! It says "$7.99 for any 3-topping Large" and then you create such a pizza, go to check out, and it's $11.99 subtotal. No indication as you're choosing size, sauce, or toppings what they'll cost... but almost everything increases the price! Annoying to check how much for anything when checkout view is slow to load, too.
Fantastic idea by dominos to allow users to completely bypass the atrocious call system they've implemented. My store takes about 15 minutes on average just to answer the phone, most of the time taking so long that i simply hang up before i get an answer. The app is well designed, i've never encountered any bugs, all the food choices are very clear and well displayed, and the "pizza profile" is a very easy, free way to earn rewards very quickly.
Definitely not user friendly. If our local store wasn't so dang awesome I'd honestly order elsewhere. But they are worth the hassle. You should be able to switch between delivery and pickup easier. Shouldn't take you back to the main screen when trying to check out. Editing an order and using coupons should be able to be applied at anytime. Get rid of the do you want to add ______ after we click submit. It feels spammy.
When I went through the app and tried to apply the $3 discount I was not able to modify the toppings that I want on the pizza when I was select on paying Pizza it would only allow me to do cheese. I couldn't add any type of toppings to it. There's definitely something wrong with this app when you go through adding the $3 discount. It will give you the discount but you can't put no toppings on it. So I had to go through the website and copy and paste the code instead of clicking on it
This app is simple and straight forward. If you set up an account and payment method everything seems to fall into place. Their delivery time in relation to this app's built in tracker is spot on. The one thing I would like to see is incorporating earned coupon codes into account information. Having to go to my email for the code is kinda annoying. I hope they are working on that :)
So far, not impressed with the app. Backed out of my order accidentally and it lost everything, including the store that I was planning to purchase from. Then, when I went to place my order, it couldn't use the payment method I had chosen even though I had triple checked everything and it was all correct. Ended up having to select pay at the store, which defeats the purpose of it being convenient and quick.
Easy breezy! Only had an issue 1 time when using a $3 coupon (for the carryout promo) even though I checked the dates and had used this type of coupon before. I'm not thrilled with call-in orders being sourced outside the US but that doesn't pertain to the app which is great. The app itself is quick and easy to use. The time tracker is my fav feature. You can't go wrong with the app if used properly - outside of that 1 time coupon issue I had. Placing an order right now!
Update: Whatever problem was causing orders to not go through has been sorted out and it is working perfectly now. My kids love getting pizza and this makes it quick and easy to order. Everything looks OK until I try to place the order and pay. It almost always comes back with an error. I've closed and re-opened it and tried on different days to see if it was a temporary thing but it pretty consistently refuses to work.
Extremely easy to use, especially if you use a previous order to reorder. I always use a previous order, and edit each pizza to match what the family wants. Using this app I have found options I didn't know were available. Plus 10 points per order over (I think) $25, and 60 points for a free 1 topping pizza.
So much better than using the mobile website! I don't know why I haven't switched to it sooner. The whole process of ordering is so so easy, editing orders is flawless. Looking for and applying coupons are extremely simple. Checkout was really quick since all of my information transferred to the app from signing up prior on the web. It's definitely worth downloading if you want to order/ use frequently.
The app doesn't allow you to use your coupon for pickup there's no place to add it I've had this difficulty many times it's a reoccurring issue other than that great app. If there is a place to apply that coupon they make it very difficult to find it is not at checkout anywhere therefore I'm going to reduce the Stars given due to the recurring issue of a false coupon. Still great pizza and chicken and Parmesan bread twists.
I really like it. Fast, extremely user friendly. I probably ordered more from dominos just because of how easy the app is. Plus the online deals really help and I would never know of them ordering over the phone. Love the app! Very friend on the eyes and lots of big buttons make it easy to navigate. Keep it up Dominos!
The ap is just fine, performs fairly well and isn't complicated. But I effing hate you, Domino's, for forcing your customer to use your ap for ordering when making a phone call is about 1000% more convenient. Used to take me 30 seconds to call from my work parking lot, and it'd be ready to go by the time I drove past on my way home. Now, instead, if I want to take advantage of the same coupon, I *have* to do it through the stupid ap and it easily takes a few minutes.
Always easy to use. The tracker is usually on point, at least where I live. So much quicker and easier than calling! ***Edit*** While the app is easy to navigate, it doesn't give you options to add 'extras'. I want to add extra marinara and cheese to my pasta, but it doesn't allow that. Please update the app to include features like this.
This is a solid app for ordering Domino's online—definitely better than their website, which I've had problems with in the past. The tracker alone makes it worthwhile. It's a great feature and is actually accurate, providing notifications at each stage, including when your driver is in your neighborhood and when they pull up near your residence, so you'll know exactly when you should make your way towards the door before they even knock.
I love domino's, and its even s great app... when it works. Sometimes when I'm shopping I decide to order pizza next door. The only problem is sometimes it works other times it just errors out. Upgrade would be nice. Other than that it's a great basic layout that's easy to follow.
The food is fine but it seems like there are less available toppings on the app then when I've ordered online. My biggest complaint has nothing to do with the app but the fact that Domino's now charges extra to change sauces on their pizzas and $4 is a ridiculous price to charge to change the sauce. One more thing you have far too many 1 topping pizza coupons, most normal people do not eat a one topping pizza. You do much more business if you want so cheap with your coupons.
Very simple interface to easily select options & toppings. Also the deals / coupons work without hassle. I am just not a fan of the incessant offers to add other items or more cheese, etc. I wish they would knock that off. Until then, I'm knocking off one star. The other thing is that I need to log in after a few weeks of not using it. That's inconvenient because I don't remember the password so it becomes a bit of an ordeal.
Only 4 stars cause it seemed to take forever getting it set up. Once you jump through all the hoops though, works great. No complaints other than the initial set up, all the other orders I've done since then have been a breeze. Prob could do without all the "want to add this ti your order" ads. Maybe something in the settings that you can turn those ads off.
If I called, I'd be able to group multiple deals. On the app, it's considered to be a coupon and only allows for one coupon per purchase. I'd buy more each time if I could choose another deal, like the medium or large 3 topping or the medium cheese. I only lose out on the extra calories and saved the money I was going to spend. They lose out on making a larger sale and a less than spectacular review. I love the pizza, left Papa John's for it, and the fast friendly service.
App stopped working. Tried a future order and I kept getting a message that the time I picked was less than an hour away (it was over 2 hours to go). It wouldn't let me select the coupons that I wanted. Finally I used the coupon it kept giving me (more expensive) and when I put in my payment info the whole thing crashed and took me back to the beginning. After 3 tries I ended up ordering through the website. Hopefully they actually fix the app because their last "fix" didn't do it.
Despite reinstalling the app twice, it still fails to charge any credit card. And I spent 15 min trying to apply my $3 coupon, but it kept failing. This app needs a) to be fixed, and b) some system to refund money lost when the app fails the user. I tried showing my store proof that I had a coupon, but they couldn't change the price. On the upside, ordering in the app is quick and easy (except when I try to use ANY kind of promotion), and I like knowing the price of my meal before ordering it.
4/17/22 Update I am still unable to reset my password or log in. It's is not worth it. What's the point of I can't log in?! I changed my password at some point last year so the one that was saved no longer works. When trying to request a new password it says it's sent by email. Yet I never receive it. Yes, I've checked my spam folder. I regularly used to receive emails. I've tried to log back in intermittently for months without luck. This makes the rewards program pointless.
80% of the time I try to use the app or website, I get an error that my order can't go through, or that online ordering isn't available. The whole point of online ordering is that I don't have to call someone or go in person, so I'm not going to be contacting the store like the error suggests. Interface is awkward and not very intuitive to navigate; so many clicks required.
Can get the app to work but can be extremely frustrating. You kind of have to coax it. Two biggest issues I've faced are 1. Being told Carry-Out is closed when I know this is false from having called the store. 2. Having an order ready to place and then having to leave the app for just a few seconds to check something and having the app glitch and completely lose my order upon trying to go back. If these issues were fixed it would be a much better experience.
Always so pleasant to use this app! Quick and no nonsense. I would only suggest that the gratuity option be moved up higher on the checkout page, rather than the bottom. Seems like I get to a point where I have all checked, then see "place order", and I hit it, then realize I forgot to tip, and have to call the store to add it. The option remains out of site until I go back and look for it.
Almost everything in the app is perfect. It acts like the website, it's fast and responsive, easy to customize items. Two HUGE flaws: if you switch away from the app to look up a gift card, it moves from the check out screen back to the first page of the app, making you think you have to start over. Second, if you pay with a gift card, the ability to tip your driver disappears! That's not fair to their staff if I don't have cash and am not given an option to put a tip on a card.
