This app is very inaccurate. Calibrated as directed, even tried the full variety of settings in advanced options - nothing has improved it. Also says that it saves photos for further editing and sharing, and while you can visually see the photos in the app's gallery, it does not allow you to view them and simply says image not found.
Don't get it, can not be less clear, what a waste of 30 minutes trying to figure it out, move on i think 🤔
I do a lots of renovation and construction works. This tool is very good, very simple and very easy to use.
Hey reviewers, at the start when upload it says what to do. U need to put in Ur height which is the bar on left, and align at bottom of object. It does both measuerments. U need to use the rule pic uptop to change dimensions. It is good and works but only guesstimates,it needs to be perfectly still and aligned. Ilthis would be perfect if U could change or add to a walking distance metre adder. U know wat I mean!. I want to go from example- zero to 25 m just by walking that far/!
Extremely bad UI and UX design. There is no calibration button on my device after entering the lens height so impossible to take measurements of any meaning. Clicking the advanced settings then backing out of them changes the units used for lens height which should be a more discoverable and clear option. It was not obvious that the onscreen target can be moved and not clear what all of the buttons in the main camera view are for.
Our politicians are misleading enough, and I dislike it when I find it in a product description. The description is misleading by omission. Apparently, the only measurement you can make in the "free" version is the distance to a point in front of you. The description fails to note that height measurements are only available in the paid version. I assume that widths are also not available in the base version, though I did not need to make any width measurements. The app also wants access to your photos and files, etc., which I refused because the app is a tape measure, not a social web site. Jeez, enough with the prying already. The app also does not retain the eye-level height. You have to reset it every time you open. It took me a number of failed attempts to measure height before I just finally removed the app completely. At this age, I really dislike companies wasting what little time I have left.
I purchased the paid version because I need this app for work it does not work at all! it does not let me calibrate or change and the lens height. As it says on here! this is a big problem if I don't get my money back or this fixed immediately I'm going to put in a larger complaint
It doesnt work, and i guarantee it doesnt work on your phone, first of all there is the vast differences in cameras and lens, second there is depth perception, if your phone has dual cameras it may work, probably not, if your phone has dual cameras it will likely come with a pre calibrated measuring app that will work this app registered an arms length as 1200meters, im no scientist but its wrong
Very difficult to use needs a little work we buy should have first time help button that way it gives a tutorial on how to use that and maybe a little Q's on the side that they give you better ideas on what you're doing with the app or little Q's like if they're doing certain type of measuring and something else is easier y'all need to come up with an algorithm that makes it easier for them to use you know like a little light bulb that says hey here's a tip you could do this an easier way
Ok, so for everyone bashing this app, shut the hell up and read the directions and enter the info correctly. After i set all of this up i found my measurement were still about 2 feet off, so what i did to fix this is measured 10 ft to a known distance and held camera at eye level then i slowly dropped camera down to about almost 2 feet until app displayed correct measurement and now keep at that level and now i get accurate measurement Everytime.
Great app had issues buying at first not sure it was app or network. But contacted developers sorted straight away .Worth every penny .If you take your time making sure height of lens is correct it is very accurate.Used it to measure trunking going up side of a building .Was accurate no wastage of trunking.
I am sure the paid version has more bells and whistles, the free version could not do what I needed it to do. Just needed one quick measurement from a photo that had already been taken. If that is what you are looking for, the free version won't allow for it.
Unresponsive performance on my Android-10 Samsung Galaxy SM-A750F-D/S: > Tapping the flashlight icon tirns on the light but tapping the same icon DOESN'T turn it off! > Tapping the ruler icon does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I uninstalled this app right after posting because its not worth having in my phone!
Yeah it thinks something that is one inch away is 14 in. Just trying to measure the size of the keys on my keyboard and perhaps the devs have a suggestion. If they're able to resolve this I will definitely give it five stars.
this thing is cool. if the accuracy isnt good enough to the point of your complaining, you could always either make your own measuring app with a degree of accuracy much more suitable to your high standards of expertise, or just stfu and go grab a tape measure.
Lousy app. Measuring point start at the center of the camera. Should start at the bottom of the camera. Free version can only measure distance. Height and width must pay.
This app is a POS! The free version hardly does anything except market the purchase version. It doesn't even let you close the app! I had to re-boot my phone to escape.
The app works pretty good it will give you a general distance reading from one point to the other but I guess that all depends on the clarity of your camera you have on your device.
I purchased the app and started using it. It works great! I even pulled out my tape measure to compare and it's very accurate. I read some of the reviews and i can't figure out why some people say it doesn't work and that its not accurate.
Not bad I guess if you can't use a ruler or air got one. Or if you just want to trust it and hope it works out its actually accurate enough but I would not build anything but at most a box and DEVELOPERS SHOULD BE SHOT FOR DUMBASS REPLAYS ABOUT BASICALLY HAVE SOMETHING TO PROP IT UP WITH THAYS IS STABLEIZED
BAD. Experience! Thare is NO. calibrate function. No ' buttons ' for any function. All it does is take a.picture and hide it somewhere.
Works okay if you don't need precise measurements, or if the distance isn't greater than 10 metres. Not too accurate and definitely doesn't work well beyond that
If you make the features of autofocus also then it will became good enough to go with ,at now no one sure about level of holding the phone, so the measurement not likely to be appropriate
It never recorded the start point. I paid for the premium version but it still worthless app. It should record start point to finish point just like the iPhone app.
19.4.19: Though the problem is yet not solved but I must acknowledge the professional attitude and sincerity to solve the problem. So, I have gave 4 star. Again I checked now as asked by the developer after updating. I am seeking, it is working now. In the mean time they refunded my payment. Now, I can experiment this app. Again thanks to developer.
Download it but it has too many ads and the Inaccurate measure of the space is difficult to get it calibrated for the average user. I decided to delete it out of my phone.
Absolutely incredible, I didn't know this app existed once I did I couldn't fathom I had so many tape measuring , basically rocks rudimentary rocks, no this is a very handy app but I still carry around the tape measure as well .. very happy this app exists
Easy to use and highly accurate for short distances. Can be upgraded to gps for better longer distance measuring
extremely inaccurate. apparently color effects distance in this app. my toilet (where i am sitting) is roughly 50" from the wall in front of me... the yellow wall measuring at 150 feet away. the trim itself is coming in at 65". lol
Completely inaccurate. Apparently the distance from my bed to the wall is 25 metres. My room is not that big. The building I can see from outside my window is about 16 inches away. It also randomly switched from metres over to inches in the first 5 minutes and I couldn't find any settings to switch it back. Most of the buttons don't seem to do anything either, there's a toolbar of icons none of which respond when you press them. Worst app ever? It's a contender that's for sure...
