Edmodo for Parents

First off, I should say that the app works well enough for its intended purpose but there are definitely some rough edges to it. To start with, there are some pretty basic features that one would hope to see in apps these days: * No MFA support - In my opinion especially concerning given that this service is dealing with information about my kids. * No way of switching off auto-play of videos - I can't describe how exceptionally irritating this is... Then there's the stuff that just doesn't work properly: * Push notifications to my device just don't work despite them being switched on both in the app and at the Android OS level. (I've raised this as a separate support case.) * Opening the notifications settings page from the app... prompts me to install the app. It's probably just because the settings page is being displayed in an embedded browser but, still, it looks sloppy.

The concept of Edmodo for Parents is great. The email reminder of new postings are also good, but unfortunately clicking on the emailed link does not take you to that specific posting in the app. It only takes you to the general log in, requiring one to then sift through all postings to try and find the specific posting. That is quite frustrating, and would be wonderful if sorted out. Kind regards.

I'm new to Edmodo but have not found the functionality to be up to my standards. There does not seem to be a section where you can see your child's grades all in one place with a percentage. I pretty much have to go to "completed" to see all turned in assignments/quizzes and click them 1 by 1 to even find out if they have been graded. Also all of the support in the Edmodo Help Center in this regard are dated 3-6 years ago, and the steps refers to a layout with tabs that no longer exists.

Concept is great! Biggest downfall is I never get notifications when I receive a message from the teacher even though I have done all suggested trouble shooting, I still only know if I have a message by opening the App and looking to see, which is majorly inconvenient and makes the App redundant.

This app works well in terms of having work collectively in one place. The process can be complicated at times to submit assignments which seems unnecessary especially with deadlines to meet which takes up too much time, and when the kids are working against time it can become frustrating for the young ones. It seems as if you have to constantly refresh to see new messages, assignments or posts which is also time consuming and can make the user bewildered and confused, and miss deadlines dates.

Somewhat confusing navigation. When the student is a minor without email, set up is tricky or corrections to set up even more so, especially when i have multiple kids to set up. However, I like knowing details regarding my kiddos classes.

App. too many and the times I get there from most of Anthony's teachers could last a few hours. Don't like being on this phone for 2 1/2 to 3. One time it came in at 9:40pm. Also sometimes the teacher's statement are not completed. We had to buy the agenda and it hasn't been used this year. Why buy it. And what do those many numbers at the beginning of each statement what are they for. I would appreciate the homework written on a paper. easier to follow. Maybe one paperperteacher the whole week's assignment written down and for my old - fashioned way of doing things I can follow.

Edit** several teachers use this regularly and I find it an excellent place to have all the assignments and the student has access also. **I have used this app for about three days and Edmodo wanted a review. So far, it's ok. Only one teacher has posted anything, so it's not being seen in full use yet. Will update later.

Please fix the bug. All the sudden it failed my login even though I used the correct email and password. I had no problem to login to the webpage using the same email and password but not the app. And I got all the posts update from the email but all the new posts didn't show on the app.

Keeps us easily updated on assignments given, when our student completes them and what his grade is. (It does require consistency on the instructor's part,) but by far one of the top two apps of this type I have used.

whenever i try to go to previous page the whole app window is getting closed so i need to open app once again from the beginning,everytime it shows error before starting,i felt it gives me notifications only when i am online .i can't view the validation code in the fee payment portal tried refreshing several times,but was futile

I would like the home screen to have better detail,maybe per subject,then form tutor,letters fom school option ect.currently you have to scroll which makes it hard if you looking for something specific 🙂...hope it help you to provide a better service.

Easy to use and find out what work had been set. Easier to message teachers too rather than through the school. Would have liked to see the student version more easily but I probably missed something!

Having trouble by deleting student acc that created by mistake.. Having trouble in receiving confirmation email notif. Having trouble in receiving phone confirmation..didnt come through till now (maybe a week) Always requesting for password to save changes in profile editing, etc... Not user friendly.

This app is horrible. I've removed notifications (turned off all notifications in the app) however I'm CONSTANTLY receiving notifications on my phone from my daughters school. Now I've unattached my daughter AND I uninstalled the app. I'm still receiving text notifications from the app. MIND BLOWN. I've reached out to Edmodo for assistance. STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO REMOVE ME AND MY INFO FROM THE APP.

Very helpful and accurate with regards to assignments.

Great platform that replaces newsletters from teachers, allows photos (but no download if the teachers are not allowing it), likes and direct messages to teachers. Dependent on teachers' willingness to use and share school experience within the app. Different tabs for each kid's class using Edmondo. Emails sent simultaneously with posts by teachers, but unable to click on link and land on App. Need to log in each time from email sent through Edmondo or directly go to the App to see updates.

I like the way I'm always aware of assignments and if they've been turned in on time. I also like tha ability to read the assignments & responses.

Learning how to navigate through edmodo hasn't been too difficult. We certainly appreciate its existance these days. I have 3 kids using it now and we are still discovering new things.

Ok for all intents and purposes but I would like to be able to see my child's calendar too. If teachers just post events/assignments to the student calendar, it doesn't seem to show up for me in the app.

Nothing special, but I really hate that you have 2 apps. It could've been made in one app but yall wanted more money, deleting it as soon as i screeenshot my teachers power point presentation, and never installing it again.

This is a great app, however it keeps crashing and credentials cannot be seen and user cannot be found constantly . I have to reinstall app all the time. This is not helping.

Awful app, lacking functionality and almost useless as a tool for parents to use. Best part of the app was the notifications but since the last update these now don't work at all! Please fix the app and make it usable.

I have a son with autism, so executive functioning is difficult. He doesn't always remember assignments and homework. I'm able to keep abreast of his work, without having to call up other parents or students to get assignments he may have missed. Edmodo for parents is a huge help for me!!!
