Endoscope Camera

the lack of instruction or faq is troublesome. the faq in the app is pretty barbones and specific to a certain thing, but no real solutions if you are having connection issues. this app worked ONE time, then would not connect to the camera after that. the only thing that helped was uninstall and reinstall, but then it only works one time and you have to do it again. more trouble than it's worth.

Update: was two star, now four. Any time a dongle plugs in, it thinks it is an endoscope. They must have fixed the app so it opens right the first time. S21 Ultra. Original review: Works sometimes. Galaxy s8+. The app automatically opens, but you have to close it and re-open it for it to work. Sometimes it just doesn't work. Maybe it's the adapter, which by the way won't fit with the otterbox protection system.

The camera software works. It's not well written; you have to manually set requested permissions, and there's plenty of engrish. It also doesn't save the setting for automatically using this app for the usb camera default. There are bugs all over thr settings, where most of them just dont do anything. It DOES give you full screen video while recording and taking pictures without ads for free. I haven't had it crash on Oreo. I checked several other apps and could not find a better one.

Version 3.6.2 crashed every time I tried to use it. Got a hold of version 3.6.1 which was ok for stills, but not for videos. The video had a green bar at the bottom and all the colors were off horribly! Stills that were shot within the app, during a video recording, were the correct color even though the video was not. Tried using another app that recorded correctly. This really needs to be fixed.

I've tried 3 other apps before getting this 1 and it works great! So far have used this on a S21/FE without failure! Love the features! I use this app for on a borescope with great clarity and will install on a laptop for larger pictures. For those whom have had issues I truly wish it worked for you! Start up and switch between screen types run without a hickup! I hope the longevity of this app will stay! If there are future updates I hope it can be reverted if need be!

Just wanted to say 5 stars. Works great. My only thing I can think of to improve is to have the main menu work in landscape as well as portrait. I use a Samsung large newish tablet and its always in landscape.

My cheap Amazon endoscope camera was delivered today. So I downloaded a number of camera apps. I tried the highest rated apps first but all had a problem. Quality of picture was identical in all the apps the problem was taking pics or recording. Then I tried this app which unlike the other apps put the pic into landscape. I took a few pics and it worked great. As my camera had a micro usb connection I couldn't use it on my 2021 usb-c phone. I'm using it on an old Huawei Mate 8 on android 7.

It was easy to install and does not have annoying ads, but I have seen better image quality with other apps. This app's images seem dimmer and less in focus.

Easy to install app. I did have to update to the newer version in an .apk format which is a bit annoying. Why not just offer the newest version in the first place. Either way it was an easy plug and play app. Lost a star because of having to download a second file.

The view looks with normal coloration, but when it records the playback is like it has a blue filter which distorts the images/video your trying to view. Also, the App crashes when trying to Share videos. The device I purchased is useless without the ability to take videos that show accurate coloration.

Works perfectly! Everyone having issues download the second app thats needed. "Endoscope HD Camera" once you down that app fallow the steps and come back to this app "Endoscope Camera" the app literally tells you to do this. The second app puts your phone into OTG MODE. If you don't have the second app the camera will connect and disconnect non stop and it will flash as well

It works. For android 10, the link to update from in the app wouldn't work. I had to manually enter gto.so/ec.apk into my browser and then it automatically downloaded the update. It worked after that. Very trippy (and gross) to see inside your ear.

Stopped working. Everytime I open the app now, it crashes when I plug in the camera. Tried what others said plugging in after opening the app, it still crashes as soon as I plug it in. It used to work so idk what happened but apparently they don't care about fixing it.

Actually Good, other apps are loaded with ads but this one is simple and to the point. Also unlike other ads allows recording and photo taking with my endoscope cam. Using to look inside walls for termite damage. I tried all the apps on play store, this is the best i found. No Ads Quick to use Doesn't ask for extra permissions.

Pixel 3 XL Android 10. It recognizes the scope I plug in correctly but as soon as I hit the Camera button the app crashes. Every single time. This must be really hard to do because there are a lot of apps that try and everyone sucks.

Worked excellent when I first got it. After I upgraded my phone to S10+ I have been unable to use it since. This app and the endoscope HD camera do not work. It recognizes it's there but it will not display says loading, indefinitely.

App keeps crashing but I figured out you have to open the app before plugging it in for it to not crash. However it didn't save the pictures even though storage permission is enabled. I gave up and used my computer instead. Uninstalling...

Read the instructions. Used the QR code to load the app. Plugged in the camera to my Galaxy S8. Works great. For the price it works as advertised. Just make sure plug stack up for using the micro USB is fully engaged. Has a solid feel. I am pleased with the product.

The process of setting the required permissions is not the standard android one you have to do it manually, however when you find the apps correct name and set the permissions it worked first time I connected the USB camera. Samsung note 9.

Android 10/Pixel issues - The app will load but will crash when the camera is connected. This happens when using it on a Pixel XL and Pixel 3XL. Using my old Nexus 6P actually worked but I shouldn't have to downgrade to a lesser Android OS to use this app/camera.

Used to work on my S8 until the latest software update. Now it won't recognize the camera as connected. The camera works with other apps fine, and I have the storage permissions correct.

This used to work fine but stopped working on Android 10. The author responded to my query! Once it goes through the Google app store's security audit I'll check it out again. In the mean time I found another otg usb webcam app that works with Android 10 "USB Camera - Connect EasyCap or USB WebCam"

Failed to detect camera [ I have several and tried them all]. No way to exit app. No back button or anything available on screen telling me to email them for help. I had to mess about with status bar to get back to desktop and then uninstall.

This app crashes on my Pixel 2XL running Android 10. The flash screen is displayed, and then approximately one second after the next screen is displayed, the app crashes -- every time. No opportunity to evaluate it.

No longer works without outside update. Have to copy link in description and download outside of store for Android 10. Shows camera connected in a text message on screen but then does nothing otherwise.

works well, would have given 4 stars really as design could be improved, but I gave 5 to counter some of the "doesn't work" reviews. to make it work you need to enable storage access under app settings, it really is that simple.

The upgrade window for Android 10 opens for 3 seconds and then disappears. So far the only thing that works is the light. No camera.

worked well on nokia 6.1. no complaints just remember to grant the app permissions. Update:. I am now downgrading my review from 5 stars to one star after updating. A nag banner now displays across the app in front of the camera video asking you to click to upgrade to the Android 10 version of the app. After I clicked on that banner it brought me to a site where it wanted to sideload and APK (not a safe practice). Shortly thereafter it tried to log into my PayPal account, basically a virus.

As previous users have said, the app crashes when camera is plugged in to phone. It doesn't matter if the app is open first or not. I am absolutely upset about it being this terrible and will be returning the product.

The scope works fine but the app does not. I've used the app on my S9+ and it dosen't work, I also used it on my Tab S5 and it works 3 sec then freezes up. Very poor quality app, just try another although most of the endoscope apps on here are of poor quality even if you have a hig and scope.
