I still dont understand why games have not been made with this type of graphics. I got 65fps at ultra settings with a 100% 2k resolution on my s7 edge. I know its a powerfull phone but i mean devs should try and make games with this graphics. Apart from that good app to test your phone limits. There is a game that has this same engine and the graphics arw amazing but i cant remember what is called. Either way thx

Super smooth 3d graphics running 35.9 fps at 2k resolution on the LG G4. Tried this on my old galaxy s4 and only ran about 50 fps at 1080p. I tried to force an 2k output and it crashed the phone. Great app for graphic benchmark but wish it could be added ability to benchmark different amount of cores for more detailed stats

This is good to see and it is nice to look at but it is just them showing off there new engine. Unreal you have done it again good job. Questions when are you porting infinity blade to android that was such a gold game and I kinda got excited to see this game it thought it would be the android version but it was not. Your friend on youtube Dumpsterman let's play

These are the best graphics I've ever seen on an Android device, and the framerate is high on snapdragon 800, I wonder what is 810 capable of with tessellation. I've always been a fan of epic games and I think your game engine is the best from what I experienced on pc, I can't believe that I'm actually getting average 50fps on an Android device with such incredible graphics! You should totally make some games on android, like unreal tournament or so, it would be the best on the market

Okay so this isn't actually a game at all it is a tech demo and it is absolutely amazing in every way this is some graphics that I've never seen on any mobile device it is as close to console as it can possibly be, I'm in complete shock that my Nexus 7 can run this at 60 frames per second.

I've been working with The Unreal Engines as well as many others for a very long time. I'm always impressed with the hard work and dedication given by the staff and team members whom make these advancements and share it with the world. Of which their dedicated hard work makes others creativity ALOT more easier. I was impressed by the demo on day one, and decided to revisit... yet this time leave a rating comment. The world will see some very impressive things on smart devices from this team for years to come.

A wonderful simulation of a citadel. It actually works fine on Adreno 330. I really liked to strolling in this beautiful citadel. The graphics are quite good. The objects quality is well-done, but can be improved. The lights in Ultra Mode could have been less brighter on the surfaces such on walls, because it gives a kind of foggy effect that might reduces the quality vision in some places of the citadel. Overall, it was and remains a good, both, visual and spiritual experience. I hope that future games will use such an engine. Hope also that Unreal Engine will come up with an Epic Citadel 2 much bigger and larger.

This is a really interesting app. I hope the creators decide to make this setting into something else. It reminds me of Skyrim and since it is created by those of Infinity Blade, it could be morphed into a RPG or medieval action game. I had originally thought it was much larger than it is. But since it flows so well, it would be a great Skyrim knock off for smart phones and tablets. I am waiting to see what they do with this.

This is one of my favorite apps to bench mark phones on. For those of you saying its great but theres nothing to do..well...read the description and you'll see that's its nothing more than a benchmark tool. To see console quality graphics on a phone even though it is a benchmark tool is amazing.

I expected this game to at least be something like the original games, y'know, actually being able to do anything except walking around. Is incredibly boring and not worth the large amount of storage. Will uninstall immediately

Here is a summary of the game; your in the middle of a generic fantasy town, but you are the only living thing present. You walk around for a while in the incredibly tiny area until you walk out side, you see a river and a few colorful tents, and vast amounts of land off a cliff side with an invisible wall. That is it. You just walk around during with nothing to funkier do in a tiny little space, what the hell.

Nexus 5 4.4.4 Averaged 47.5 FPS with Ultra High Quality. I can't wait for Unreal Engine 4, and a game to be released using that engine on Android. We need Unreal Engine games on Android, most Android phones got the specs for beast gaming, while Apple is just keeping the mobile gaming industry behind.

The graphics on this demo are a definite 5 star. This runs so smoothly on my phone it's amazing. The reason I'm giving it one star, and call me petty if you want, is because if it seems so easy to do, why not give us Infinity Blade I, II and III? I guarantee there would be a lot of attention, we're talking millions of downloads, regardless of price. Please Epic and Chair games, please give us those titles, it will not be a waste.

These graphics are amazing! It's too bad this isn't a game because that would make it so much better. At least I will be able to show off just how powerful my new Samsung 12.2" tablet is to coworkers :D

Avg frame rate is 56 at 1080p. Awesome graphics. Hopefully something comes out of this, although it will be interesting to see how performance would be if there were more things going on (people and battle scenes). Pretty sure that the upcoming note 4 will eat this for breakfast. Awesome work!

Benchmarked my LG G Flex hit an average of 89FPS on Ultra High quality,my G3 scored a 62 and my OnePlus One a 67,I would really like to see the actual games developed for android, our hardware is so much more capable of this type of game than an iPhone is,after all if my iPhone can play this fine with only a few hiccups then our high end androids will easily butter their way through

Not being a big tech person, I had no idea that the Android OS was capable of this kind of 3D rendering. I'm using a Verizon Ellipsis (not exactly top of the line) and the graphics were smooth as could be on the low setting and only minor slowdowns on the high setting. Very impressive.....hope to see more soon. Great work!

I don't know if the dev went through my mail but this app is now working without a single issue. In one word, Amazing. No, really. You can explore a virtual environment on your own while there is also an option to 'Benchmark' your device separately. So....my LG D410 averages 58.9 FPS at 'High Performance Level'. That's probably true because my phone never hiccups playing at high settings.

Graphics are unbelievable, yet it lacks one of the best games I've ever played that's only in iOS. Android needs the Infinity Blade trilogy right here, right now. Make them free too. Prices in iOS really take down the excitement and experience of playing Infinity Blade. Make $6.99 to nothing, and everyone will be happy. I.B. series is finally done. There's no need to set up prices after being a sucess at making one of the greatest games on iOS that became a sucess too. Same goes for Android.

Amazing that a tech demo that first came out more than 3 years ago to showcase the SGX 535 of the iPhone 4 can in one small update be a challenge for today's amazing Adreno 320 powered smartphones like my Xperia z. I'm supposing the SGX 544MP in the iPad and SGS4 should take a beating here with the ultra high settings :)

Ste. S. May 15, 2017

Epic Citadel is a great game, it earned my approval from the graphics alone and worked on high settings on my 35$ tablet with practically no hiccups at all. It doesn't have any gameplay other than walking around which seems to bother people particularly in the YouTube comment section. Remember this is/was a demo for Unreal Engine 3 mobile using the same medieval setting as the app Infinity Blade, so if you want a game with a story and that has the same graphics as Epic Citadel get Infinity blade. Although it's not available on the play store it's only available on the IOS app store. If you don't have a iPad or other i-device I'd suggest sticking with Epic Citadel. Overall, on multiple devices I have had a great experience with this app and would definitely recommend this app to anyone who would like to experience an app with UE3 (great) graphics

Rob. Jun 13, 2017

graphics are awesome. one problem i had was eh.... make it more explorable, i dont know if you just didnt finish collision but it would be much better as a tech demo. i think i will probably use this engine for mobile developement ^^

Amaging Graphics 0% lag on Galaxy S4 on ultra settings Thank you for letting me know the real capabilities of my phone Just a great storyline like devil may cry and you guys will rock the world...

Smartphone games have grown tremendously within a very short time, and the graphics in this demo as come to show how much capabilities these new devices have, I really appreciate the hard work of the developers. People doesn't understand the amount of effort that goes into these games, this is phenomenal!

Dom. T. Mar 6, 2014

Why didn't you make this into a full blown 1st person RPG ala Elder Scrolls? I would have bought this game in a heartbeat. They should make more android games like this that take full advantage of the Unreal Engine. That's the reason why I invested in a powerful mobile device so I can play games with powerful graphics like this. If not, i would have settled for any low cost android device.

Eri. W. Jul 6, 2014

When the newest devices like the Galaxy S5 and HTC One X(M8) can play this on ultra with an average of 50fps there is NO reason that Infinity Blade can't be on Android now. This demo is the latest in a long line of Epic Games giving the finger to Android users. There is ZERO technical reason anymore. Android devices have even surpassed the iPhone in raw performance too. The only reason it doesn't release is because Apple pays them not to. There's no other explanation. This demo works across so many Android devices that their old excuse of "It's too hard to support multiple devices" is just BS at this point. This demo is a slap in the face and a giant middle finger to everyone who refuses to buy into Apple's locked down ecosystem.
